Engleman spruce top. Perfect electronics, sturdy gig-bag and maghony back/neck sides. I think rosewood fingerboard. Solid wood throughout the guitar and it sounds like it. Has abalony around the sound hole too if you're in to that.

Sound : 10
Sounds like an upper mid range guitar. I was shopping around for guilds and taylors and this does the job just as well. The preamp and pickup are what sell it. It sounds much better pluged in, and no feedback.

Seems sturdy.

Yeah, good buy. I got mine used so it was a bit banged up but I'd do it again. If someone stole it I'd be pissed and then consider another Artwood or Ibanez for a replacement. You really can't beat this quality at this price range.

2001 made in Korea. Solid Spruce top... blah blah...

Fishman pick up (real important) and Grover tuners.

Look at other reviews for features.

This guitar fits the alternative rock style of christian music we play! Its a good instrument plugged in. I will choose that artwoods over a takamine any day.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Bought on ebay... came pretty crappy, had to get it set up and crap.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I play for my church praise band about 2 times a week! Its a decent instrument, I think the newer model 100cent's are a lot better. I have a friend with the newer model and it sounds so clean! Its very durable. I wouldn't gig without a back up because my strings might pop! However T know the guitar won't =)

I love this guitar but I recently bought a Breedlove Atlas AD25/SR plus. After playing my new baby, it just blows the Ibanez away. This guitar however is a very good first guitar and very affordable, It has a lot better features than the takamines do and they sound better.

Standard features, most notable are the spruce top, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Good combination.
Pickup system has a three band eq. , onboard tunner (chromatic!), and phase out switch (for feedback emergecies).
Batteries on the preamp seem to last a long time (about three months now of daily playing with no worries or replacement). Glossy finish, real plain and thin. Cutaway doesn't help out to much because the neck joins the body right where the cut-away begins (so when playing those high frets you have to deal with the arch of the neck getting in the way). But overall everything about the guitar is really nice. The tunners are Grover tunners which I have heard from everyone are really nice... I agree.
Read bellow for details or check out ibanez.com

Sound : 8
Guitar sounds real nice with the eq set flat. Usually I will dial in a clean setting on the pa and keep the switches on the guitar at mid position. Guitar sounds loud and full plugged in, no complaints.
At times it feedsback a bit, but the phase switch does help out, just stay away from those speakers.

Unplugged (as with most acoustic/electrics) it looses some of it's volume and bass. Not to bad, but it sounds alot better plugged in.

I play "acoustic-rock" and sometimes some modern folk. This guitar sounds beautiful plugged in and preety good unplugged. Not thousand dollar martin guitar good, but real close -and less than half the cost. Really great value.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Sense I bought it used it came with a straplock installed and a lowered action. I highly recomend both.
Finish was perfect when I bought it, no glue or uneven paint anywhere.
Wood has a nice grain which shows through the gloss. The paint chips easily on the front due to the thin coat, so if you leave it out it will probably get scratches. The finish is thin, but that probably helps the volume come out.
Nice strip on the back which I don't care to much about but whatever.
Nice look overall, finish is perfect (but not factory so yours may be higher/lower). No loose or broken parts, nothing else to note.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Battery lasts long.
Locks are solid.
Tuners are tight and feel weighted.
Front chipped easy due to me being a little careless (no big).
I would depend on it without a backup, so long as I had extra strings I've heard that spruce sounds better with age... we'll see

Customer Support : No Opinion
no... website is nice, but I've never had to deal with Ibanez.
I also own an Ibanez bass and have never had any trouble (2 years old)~

Overall Rating : 9
What I like most about the guitar is the...
*Spruce top
*Mohagny back/sides
*Awesome electonics
*Built in tunner (that is chromatic so you can tune to half steps (like down a half step)

Features : 10
too bad theres nothing for the strap, but nice cutaway with fishman pickup and glossy finish, abalone circle and pearl dots on the frets.
I paid 500$ for this and it came with a hard case, worth every penny.

Sound : 10
This is by far the best part of the guitar. Other people ask to play my guitar over theirs (similarly priced) because they love the sound. Fits my music style perfectly, but i dont usually use an amp and i just got into recording. Love everything about the sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I've had this guitar for a while and it doesn't seem to have any flaws. It's suffered a couple of dings and dents but still looks good. Worst thing that ever happened was that the top of one of the pins broke off... changed it the next time i changed the strings, so no problem there.

Reliability/Durability : 10
There aren't any strap buttons really, but this guitar can definitely last. If it can suffer my house walls and being dragged around from floor to floor at college then it's pretty solid. I've had it for a while and it hasn't given me any problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't had any problems.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 5 years now, and am 18 years old. I also have an old yamaha acoustic and this one blows it out of the water. Now i have a fender jazz bass too. Out of all the guitars that I've played, this is my 2nd favorite, second to my friend's 1400$ (he paid 800) wolfgang electric guitar. But if you're starting out or have been playing for a little while and wanted to upgrade, I would definitely reccomend this guitar. Like I said before, other people hear it, play it, and praise its great sound. Definitely a 10, especially for the price.

Standard Acoustic Electric Features: Transducer Bridge Pickup, 3 channel EQ (bass, middle, treble), a "Shape" control, a Phase switch, and a volume knob. The pickup is a Fishman Sonicore Pickup and the EQ system is an Ibanez AEQ-SS Shape Shifter EQ. 20 frets across a rosewood fretboard. The entire neck assembly is made from a solid piece of wood; headstock, neck, and heel are all one cut of wood. Sturdy, gold Grover hardware. The guitar is made from their "Artwood" supply of woods, having a solid Engelmann spruce top and mahogany back & sides.

Sound : 10
This guitar plays like a dream for the cost. There's no comparison to almost any guitar in its price range. Even outside of its pricerange this guitar shines, competing with even higher end martins and takimines. I was completely flabbergasted (that's right: flabbergasted) when I first heard this guitar. I was always under the supposition that Ibanez made cheap acoustic guitars that weren't worth the time; this guitar proved me wrong. I've recorded this guitar many times and will prefer to stick with this guitar as much as possible (except when my friend's vintage 1950 Gibson acoustic is up for grabs). There is a smooth and pleasant level of bass that mixes well with the highs, which are never too clangy or rude. I would definately recommend this guitar to anyone for recording--MIC'd or plugged in (although plugged in you will have to play with EQing it, only here do the highs get a little out of hand if you're not too careful.)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The guitar is set-up perfectly. I did have to slightly loosen the truss rod when I got it because of a slight buzz on a few frets. Now it works perfectly. The only gripe I have is the little piece that the strings first meet on the bridge. The edges can get sharp from previous sets of strings and, if not set into the exact same groove from previous strings, they can snap a new set.... a definate pain in the ass when you use Elixer poly webs. Also, the pegs continually break, but that's partly my fault for forcing them down too far into the bridge, and they're usually only about $0.75 to replace. I'd definately happy about letting this guitar age due to the solid spruce top. age=better tone.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This guitar feels sturdy as a rock. Like i said above, though, the only gripe is the pegs and and the plastic piece that the strings first attach to at the bridge. Other than that the guitar is wonderful piece of work and I expect it to last atleast another 20 years.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 10
I would definately recommend this guitar to anyone. It is a durable, reliably, and toneful acoustic that is a whale-of-a-bang-for-your-buck. I'm surprised that these guitars aren't listed for a much higher price---the tone almost demands that it be higher under normal business schematics.

basic dreadnaught cutaway with fishman electronics, grover tuners....good axe...solid top....i use it both unplugged and thru an amp....happy with it....

Sound : 9
sounds good, though theres a little disparity in volume level when electrified between the 1st and 2nd strings....electronics are top shelf...i keep it strung with acoustic lights (11's)....

Action, Fit, & Finish : 5
whoever put the tuners on this thing had to be drunk...they're all cockeyed and crooked....i believe i'll fix it for them...beyond that, it's fine....nice finish....

Reliability/Durability : 7
good, solid guitar....better than the guild i had in college.....i got this for $300 with a nice hard case, so i'm not going to complain much...i like the guitar....

Customer Support : No Opinion
i've heard bad things

Overall Rating : 9
I really don't have any gripes...prior to this, i was playing a mid-70s japanese made epiphone ft-134, which is a very reare model, with a barcus-berry pickup...it was great, but i just plain wore it out, and needed something else....this is real good guitar...if you're prejudiced against asian instruments, then you're a dummy, because the koreans in particular are turning out some decent product....htis one's a winner, even with it's flaws....

It has what any Acoustic/Electric should have, came with Fishman pick up, nice EQ etc.

Sound : 10
I think this guitar sounds much much better then any guitar in this price range. Unplugged it has a nice warm ring, whe plugged in it sounds great as well, i did some recordin with it, and ran the input straigh into my soundcard from the amp and it sounds amazing.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Action is great, perfect for my taste I usually play 10guage strings. The finish is nice, mine already shows some wear.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This guitar is pretty reliable, ive dropped on numerous occasions, sometimes i was sure that i was gonna break it in half, but this guitar took it all and stil sounds great, i have some dings on the headstock though. My battery for the pick up lasted for at least 3 years.

Overall i think its a great guitar. I bought it in 2000 in SamAsh and i got the floor model too and it stil serves me well. It sounds amazing, and is high quality made.

active fishman pickup make this guitar sound awesome plugged in. everytime i play somewhere, someone comments on the sound of my guitar. i compared it to martins, taylors, takamines, etc, and only the high dollar taylors sounded better. the tuners are gold plated, and if you don't wipe them down after each time you play, they will start looking rough really really fast. 3 of the pegs broke when i tried to change the strings, which i thought was really lame, but it only cost a couple bucks for more, and the bridge cracked all of a sudden, which said to me "cheap". but after fixing that, i haven't had another complaint

Sound : 10
i love the sound. i prefer this guitar over a martin i had, and its less than half the price. and again, plugged in its awesome. i play alternative music, and the sound just flows. i use it live in a band and it sounds great.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
the action is awesome. i have never done any work on it and it plays so increddible. nothing is flawed in construction. i was very impressed when i 1st played it and i still love it now.

Reliability/Durability : 10
i use it live all the time. i depend on it and i gig w.o a backup all the time. no sweat.

this is a bummer. ibanez has crap support. i never could find their number and i combed the internet for it. i imagine that if it ever goes awry i will be in for a bummer - but you get what you pay for.

Overall Rating : 10
I would recommend this guitar to anyone, however don't just rush out and buy one - try it and see if YOU like it.

i give this product a nine because you can put so much more on a guitar but i got what i wanted. fishman pickup and a great looking guitar. abalone around the soundhole and the ibanez logo in abalone on the headstock. instead of abalone on the fretboard they used the pearl inlays which saved me a couple of bucks right there. its got a perfect high gloss finish - not too much and not too little. ive seen several high glossers that look as if the plastic kept oozing from inside the guitar to the outside. the top is spruce but its two tone - one side darker than the other - which i personally like because it seems to give it more character. it also has the gold grover tuners on it which also makes it look great.

Sound : 10
unplugged this guitar gets a ten because it flat out sounds great and plugged in it gets a ten because it sounds even better. no buzzing as long as you hold your chords right and when flowing through scales the sound seems to carry well from note to note. when strumming lightly or heavily it plays loud, the sound seems to boom out of it. its tone is very warm and smooth is the best way that i know to describe it. also the harmonics on it are very easy to play a characteristic ive noticed in quality guitars.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Well the guitar looks great to me and i would have to say its best characteristics are the sound and the action. i have not played many guitars where the action is this low but yet still sounds so good without buzzing. some guitars seem to put more tension in the strings because of the way they are built but not this one. The strings will reach perfect tune but yet still seem to be loose and very easy to press down. it gives you that "just lay your fingers on the strings for a chord" type of feeling instead of pressing them down.

Reliability/Durability : 9
would i gig it with no backup, probably not. i would probably never gig without a backup to any guitar. but if i were to chose one and someone had me pinned down saying i had to do a gig with no backup, this would probably be the one i do it with. dependable, reliable, sturdy guitar. not a big fan of ibanez products but this is their top of the line guitar and i like it.

Customer Support : 5
i bought this thing used from guitar center in dallas and they give me like a 90 day return policy thing or something like that but i was not planning on returning it. once i bought it, it was mine. never dealt with ibanez so i dont know - so im giving them a 5 because all their other products are relatively crappy and if you dont give your customers good products your not giving them very much support either. the quality of the Artwood Series brings the number up to five.

Overall Rating : 9
if someone stole my guitar i would hunt him down and get it back. i played other artwoods that sound just as good if not better but damn the man that has the balls to steal another mans guitar, espicially if its his favorite one. i wish i could have gone like the 300 or 500 series but there is no difference in sound only looks and price. youll spend about 100 to 150 dollars more for more abalone and i didnt have that extra cash flow.

Solid top, sides, etc. I think mostly mohagany. Glossy finish. Fishman pickup with EQ and phase button. Those little pearl dots on the frets and a little pearly strip around the sound hole. Not too girly (nothing against chicks). Grover tuners, man! But only the bottom strap button. You'll need to get one drilled in otherwise you'll have to wear your strap like John Denver (god rest his near-sighted soul)

Sound : 8
Not a huge sound, but very nice. I had a composite wood Martin (DXME) which I returned after a couple days and got this Ibanez. God bless the salesperson at Sam Ash Hollywood who put it in my hands. I also tried the Springsteen Takamine and even before buying the Martin, I temporarily bought the Ovation S771. So, you see, I went through some changes before I found a great guitar at around $500 (the Martin and Ovation are closer to $600). The sound is nicely balanced, clear. But doesn't quite reach an expensive Martin's sound. You get what you pay for, right? But just be careful and keep an eye on the return policy!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action is amazing, as acoustics go. Just as good as a lot of Ovations (which often remind me of electric necks). I have small hands and I don't like to struggle with chords because I often noodle around to come up with original material. Or I sit around with a Beatle songbook. You know the deal.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I think this is a pretty rugged guitar. The glossy finish does give me that confidence. But it's not that heavy and the solid wood would probably crack if I dropped it. But it'll last and I hope it ages well. I love this guitar!! And those Grover tuners. You know it'll stay in tune pretty good.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Only had it a month now.

Overall Rating : 10
For the money this is probably the best acoustic electric you can buy. Trust me, I sat around for hours, listening to every darn acoustic guitar out there. Unless you get a runt, the AW100CENT won't disappoint you. I guess IBANEZ offers more expensive models in this Artwood Series. I bet they're pretty good too. Thank you IBANEZ!
