Features : 8
Probably 1987. Japan.
Solid top. Two piece back.
Herringbone like inlay made of wood on the top of the body and around the soundhole.
And on the back as well.
Bound rosewood fingerboard.
I love those Smooth Tuner II's.
The fact that they look silly on a Gibson is why I didn't put them on all of my guitars.
To me they're the best around.

Sound : 8
This guitar I play the most at home.
The sound is loud and warm and bright enough to play "Eagles" rythm parts.
The G-string seems to be a bit...huh...booming in open positoin.
But I like old strings, so this could be the reason.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
I sat in the music store for about 2 hours trying to make a choice between this and another Artwood 28.
This one he set up the best, so I got it.
I believe an acoustic has to be right as soon as it is finished.
To me there's not ot much you can do when for instance, the string lenght isn't right.
Finish is just great.
Bookmacht is good too.
Only the "bookmatched" sides at the heel of the guitar is somewhat out of centre.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
This is a strong guitar.
It was knocked to the floor twice, but it's still alive.
It didn't even detune.
It's over 16 years old now, but still looks new.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 8
A player for 25 year now.
I wish it had a pick up.
I was planning to put a Fishman on it.
But I think I'll just keep it original.
I've never heard of anybody else owning this guitar.
