1989 model year-sheesh ibanez-make it easier to track model info on yer guitars-22 fret-triangle fret markers-2 single coil (neck/ mid) and one bridge humbucker position pickup. mahogany? body-maple neck-rosewood fretboard-floyd rose locking trem unit-extremely thin neck-5 way strat style pickup selector-hard case

Sound : 10
damn clean-nice guitar to use to get a combination "strat neck pickup" and "les paul bridge pickup" sound-i especially like the bridge/middle pickup combination-displays this guitar's personality the most. i play bluesy spacey rock-this is great for all i want to accomplish-guitar allows sound to be adjusted from thin strat like whine to full/fat LP sound by choosing pickups and dialing in tone knob-great guitar to bridge the "strat/les paul" gap

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
sheesh! guitar had strings 1 and 1/2 inches off fretboard-garage sale guitar- i put new strings-set floyd rose trem properly-and action was WONDERFUL! couldn't locate (beautiful) satin mahogany finish on internet-then took off bridge/pickup plates from back of guitar-and saw PINK AND BLUE PAINT hidden underneath--if only ibanez could see the great finish somebody did to this guitar-they would quit doing the goofy finishes they make-ibanez au natural is the way to go

Reliability/Durability : 9
guitar is very light but very tough-i play in basement making home recordings but this guitar would take a beating on the road--tough hardware-dependable-a workhorse

Customer Support : No Opinion

25 year player-garage sale guitar fanatic-this is one of my fave finds-get this--played this at garage sale 2 years prior to buying-bickered over asking price ($70), offered $40-seller said no-i went back to buy guitar that day(for $70) sign on garage-"dont knock-illness in family..2 years later my wife sees guitar case at garage sale-same house-same guitar ($60 asking price)-i STILL ask for discount-and get guitar for $45 -took 2 years but i got a damn fine guitar for a damn fine price. guitar plays like a dream-can play any type of music with it-rock/blues/jazz/country-whatever-decidedly metal looks but very versatile sound
