My last guitar was a Gibson 335 Hollow Body (sold it long ago ), This one has much more "crisp and ring " sound to it.
Using Peavey 60 watt amp w/distortion, equalizer, and reverb.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Took a while for the strings to stretch, got tired of tuning. Fine after 6 weeks.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Very sturdy workmanship, will be passing this one down to my kids.

Customer Support : 9
1 yr. limited, lifetime workmanship warranty.
Never a problem to test warranty.

Overall Rating : 10
I've played for nearly 4 years.
Overall I'm very happy and excited to own this guitar. I've gotten many compliments on the looks and sound. If I had to replace it, I would not hesitate to buy another of the same. I may end up checking out other Ibanez models in the future.
I'm a satisfied customer who will stick with a quality product.

This is an update on a previous review- Agatis Body, Rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, H-S-S, 6 point tremolo, volume and tone controls. 2000, made in Indonesia. powersound pickups. That gorgeous jewel blue finish still. 9 because it has all u want for a budget guitar, but no locking tremolo or coil tapping which u would have on a higher model.
Thin neck, great for lead, very playable.

Sound : 8
I play anything from rock to blues to alt and back again- mainly lead stuff. I play at the moment through a crybaby into a Marshall Valvestate 30R. It has a 5 way selector switch, so I'll go through each of the sounds.
Humbucker selected- crisp, very clear highs, gets muddy with distortion. It's bright, doesnt pick up harmonics well. Virtually noiseless.
H and middle S - very noisey so I never use it
Middle S also very noisey I never use it.
Middle S and Neck S - almost noiseless- very clean- I brought the pickups a lot closer and now they are very bitey. With large amounts of distortion very muddy, with small amount of gain gets very fuzzy as if you have the guitar noise completely seperate from the distortion. When clean, sounds very nice though.
Neck pickup I use lots for single note leads, noisey but only when near too much electrical equipment, it is mostly fine. Very nice for playing acoustic pieces as well (like Tears In The Rain, I play that quie a bit)
I would like it to have two huymbuckers, coil tapped but frankly you are unlikely to get that on a guitar of this price.
With my friend's Vox AC15 I can get some very neat Clapton esque tones with new strings.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I dont remember from when I bought it- quite recently I gave it a very thorough set up, anbd everything works fine- even the tremolo stays in tune with near octave drops if you set it right- which admittedly is hard.
As i say earlier I have moved the pickups a lot closer and now get a lot more output- the neck p/u will probably fall out if I move it any closer.
The finish as remained excellent, frets and neck are fine, very slight chip on bottom cutaway.
Internal wiring looks quite messy, the volume and tone controls came loose, the volume now works fine but the tone controls completely gone. This is not too bad though since I have a wah pedal.
I've given it 8 all the same because of the playability of it thanks to the tremolo.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Everything apart from the tone control has lasted fine and I believe will still last. One of the strap buttons came half undone but I've fixed that.
I've gigged with it without backup and will continue to do so if neccessary.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No idea about that, if it fell apart I'd have an excuse to buy a better one from my bank account.

Overall Rating : 9
I chose this guitar because of the great neck, which remains great. I havent replaced the pickups like I said I would earlier because I'm still unsure of what to do after I get my tubescreamer next month.
I can get more tones out of this than my fellow band guitarists gibson LP studio and vox ac15 combination, this sounds great through a tube amp.
If it were stolen or lost I might consider getting a Kramer online - seemingly lots of bang for the buck. But hopefully I'd persuade my parents into letting me get a much much higher Ibanez model, like a JS100. I would treat that like royalty.

Two single pickups, one humbucker. 5 pickup changers, 1 volume 1 tone, sweet jewel blue finish and fits the feel of a live playing guitar.

Sound : 9
Humbuckers great for hot deep rock chords and solos. Rage against the machine and red hot chilli peppers sound good, easy to move around on. I use a wa for now but will be buying a distortion petal box soon, and i use penvey practice amp for now but will be buying a live amp soon too. It sounds great, tone when turned up can crack an eardrum really good for live playing again. The sound is deep and full, if someone else were to play it you would fall asleep listening to it's melodically controled very well.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
It was set up wonderfully at the factory no adjustments were needed. Everything is working perfectly after a year of playing it.

Reliability/Durability : 10
It can stand and kick the ass out of live playing and the hardware will last, fretboard well developed so that strings do not need to be replaced all of the time. Strap buttons and finish are sturdily there for life, and i most absolutely can depend on playing it at a gig without a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion

I have playing for 2 years, i own an ibanez acoustic. I wish i had bought a better amp because it would be hard to play live with mine, it does not have great gain. I would probably buy another ibanez model if it were stolen or lost because id like to try other models. I love the way i can slide so easilly around the frets and play cover songs the way they originally sound. I dislike the fact that it can go out of tune easily, and i would now prefer if it had a double humbucker and volume controls for the pickups like a gibson, still for the price it is one helluva guitar. Buy an ibanez if you are starting out like i was or if you want a good sturdy guitar for live playing and practicing and with a price like it has not a big deal if lost.

Made in Indonesia. H-S-S pickups, 5 way pickup selector, 1 volume control, and 1 tone control. Nice fast neck, perfect machine heads, amd 6 point fulcrum (more trouble than it's worth). This guitar is amazinly well weighted, and extremely light. A beutiful Jewel Blue finish.

Sound : 8
I bought this guitar in May, I have only just gotten use to the bassy sound (compared to my old, shit, guitar). I go from the guitar to a series of Boss pedals, a DS-2, BF-2 and PH-2 (in that order) to my shitty amp. The humbucker at the bridge is bright compared to the single coils in the mid and neck positions. The single coils are great for emotional pieces. I have found that the humbucker is the only pickup that sounds good distorted (at least for my tastes).

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar looks good, feels fucking awesome, and most importantly plays good. My only problem is the 6 point fulcrum tremelo, you have to tune the guitar after using it only slightly. The speed of the neck is perfect for me and the neck is really comfortable.

Reliability/Durability : 9
To me this guitar seems as though it will last a far while, I love it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have never dealt with Ibanez directly, but the dealer was helpful when I found the guitar was faulty.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I have been playing for about 3-4 years, this is the first guitar I bought with my own money. Next year I will either be replacing or supplememting this guitar with an Ibanez RG or S. Overall I recommend this guitar to anyone on a tight budget, amazing quality for the price.

Made in Indonesia. 22 frets. volume, tone, 5-way lever pickup selector. S-S-H configaration. Agathis body with Maple bolt-on neck. Black in color. Strat style body but without the pickguard. Jumbo frets with Ibanez cable, strap , tools, tremolo and a Hom gig bag.

Sound : 8
I play mostly Black/Death/Heavy Metal and Grunge. This guitar suits my style quite well. I use this guitar with my Squier 15 watts amp. It is not too noisy with distortion unlike the Squier Affinity Series Strat that I once used. It is definately the guitar for someone playing Metal, Alternative or Punk.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The finish is superb. Everything, from the tuning keys to the bridge is flawless. So far nothing has happened to my guitar. My previous guitar, Squier Strat, had rusting tuning keys and bridge. Even the tremolo came loose and the poplar body CRACKED!

Reliability/Durability : 9
This guitar is definately for live gigs. However, so far I did not have any gigs. The light weight and the contour of the guitar is comfortable. It doesn't poke you into the ribs when you are rocking hard on stage. The strap buttons secures the strap without coming off. I think I can depend on it but I would prefer a backup.

Customer Support : 9
This guitar is damn good that I never had to deal with Ibanez.

Overall Rating : 9
I have been playing this guitar for a short time. I own a Squier Strat, a Squier 15 watts amp, an Asahi folk guitar and a Yamazuki classical guitar. If this guitar were stolen or lost, i will definately get another same guitar. I simply love the sound. I don't hate my guitar, because i play it everyday! That's all

22 frets, Agatis body, made in indonesia. One volume control, one tone control, 5 way selector switch for H-S-S configuration. Passive electronics, Powersound pickups. Lovely Jewel blue finish. Like a rounded strat, but thinner, less bulky. Don't know what tuners, "standard 6 point fulcrum tremolo" about it

Sound : 8
I haven't had a chance to try it on a tube amp yet, but it gives nice sound, not much inteference. I would like nicer pickups, I'll upgrade them in a while.
I've had trouble keeping strings in tune, probably related to the tremolo. Or maybe the strings hadn't been played in poperly.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
finish looks gorgeous, looks as if it will last forever.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Would cope with live playing, I've only had it a day, but i would depend on it for a gig.

Dunno

Overall Rating : 10
I think this is an excellent budget guitar. It's my first electric but I've played many "better" guitars, and this is my favourite neck that I've played. Once I replace the pickups this will sound very nice. Very good for the price

This guitar is made in Indonesia, Jan 200 model. 22 frets I think... It has a volume and a tone control, and also a 5 way selector... The configuration is SSH The neck is made of rosewood Finish is jewel (metalic) blue (it is offered also in black), and the body is strat-style Accesories: cable, spring for the tremolo, and allen keys...

Sound : No Opinion
At the moment i havent enjoyed it that much, as i dont have an amplifier (not enough money) not eiter a pedal, so i am playing through some crappy multimedia speakers.... So i can't tell you anything about it. I have played a bit on a Vox amp, for 10 mins, so i couldn't make any decision....

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
The action was quite high, and the intonation, wasn't done properly Everything else was ok and i had no problem... When i go back to Greece, i will have it done a proper intonation...

Reliability/Durability : 9
Its seems a very reliable guitar... As it has fallen sometimes down from my bed, and nothing was happened! Anyway, i have never played live to know if you are going to depend on it... I think yes ;)

Overall Rating : 9
When i will have an effect i will tell you more! But it seems a lot better than my previous ibanez GRX70...
This is a very good guitar
