All the details can be found on the Ibanez site.

The sound depends very much on your amp this is why I don't state a point. Anyway the DiMarzios are really awesome, this is why this gets a 10.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
the set-up from the factory is ok, great action, pickups well adjusted, properly bookmatched top, prperly routed bridge and everyhting fine. Just fine.

The only problem I find in this guitar is the fact that it came with heavy gauges strings. When you move to lighter strings you have to tighten the springs in the back and this is a real problem. The screws are screwed straight into the wood. This is really bad. I mean this is primitive. Really primitive. I don't like this. When you do the set-up those screws are a problem. Also the color on the tremolo uniot and on the pickups rings wear really easy. This is why this guitar gets a 7 and nothing more.

If you pass the set-up step everything will be fine.

Reliability/Durability : 10
Anything on this guitar will last.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them.

I have a S series guitar and S470. I have to say I like more the S470. If this guitar gets stolen I buy something else. Most probably I go for a prestige RG.

i bought this guitar about 5 months ago for $1300 and is worth every dollar. I fell in love with this guitar the moment i plugged it in! the paintwork is awesome and original. The body shape is elegant and slick. The hardware is gun metal like chrome and goes well with the paintjob. It has 2 dimarzio devolution pickups, 3 piece wizard neck and an ibanez edge 3 double locking trem system. Everything a metal guitar player needs is in this guitar

Sound : 10
it is my best sounding guitar by far, the dimarzio's are really something special. Has alot of clarity and bite, with the right amount of bass. i find i dont need to switch between pickups whn going from riffs to leads because the bridge pickup is well suited for both. What really suprised me about this guitar is the clean tones i can get out of it, very rich and clear that you wouldnt expect from a metal guitar

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
the action was a bit high for my tastes but i soon fixed that. The intonation is extremely good and always stays in tune.

Reliability/Durability : 10
ive knocked it a few times but i can see any damage, this is one tough guitar!!!!

Ive een playing for just over 4 years and i currently have 3 guitars: the xpt700, a jackson kelly and an ibanez RG seven string. I use a spider 2 head and a randall cab with a crybaby wah. I compare this guitar to the ibanez steve vai and joe satriani signature models because this guitar really is for the more virtuoso-type metal player. who could have thought that an obvious metal guitar could produce such a refined sound and look as elegant as a supermodel!!! this is an unbelievable guitar and every metal head worthy of owning one should!!! WELL DONE IBANEZ!!!

Sound : No Opinion
ok. this guitar is obviously designed for metal.
the spec on it is unbelievable, something like u would see on a guitar 3 times as much.
the pickups superb. as they produce sounds of players like petrucci and zakk wylde. and if u bring the gain down a tad and bring the mids up it will even produce michael angelo synth type tones.

extremelly articulate sounding if you use a thick pick (2mm)

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
the finnish is beautiful. i cant take my eyes of it since i got it.
mine is the green/blue/purple version of chameleon.
stunning guitar if seen on stage.

the guitar was alredy in tune and set up amazingly when i first picked it up. all i had to do was set the action to my preference, which was very easy to do as its just a few turns on the posts on the tremolo.
i noticed that the place where u put the allen key is bigger than normal locking tremolo's (which is much better than the smaller ones coz then u dont have problems such as when the allen key will ware it's self down and become blunt)

the neck is very narrow but feels solid in your hand.
its neck through so the whole guitar feels nicer and much stronger than bolt-on necks.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
the guitar feels like it could take alot of abuse.
this is because of the neck through as i mentioned before

the only real proble is the strap locks. they are unballenced and when u put on a strap it is akward.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never needed it as ibanez guitars are some of the best built guitars in the world next to dean.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
ive been playing for 7 years and i own a dean hardtail (my fave guitar)
a ibanez RG which i customized with all sorts.
a prs paul allender model
an ibanez RG1527 7-string.
i play through a flextone 3. but for live i use a peavey valve king stack with either a korg multi fx unit or a bunch of BOSS pedals and line 6 space chorus.

if this guitar was stolen i would hunt them down coz the guitar is beautiful and i just paid ??500 ******* pound for it lol.
but i would just probably buy another neck through super strat(jackson SL3 natural)

i cant wait to play it on stage with the band.
the guitar looks more 80's hair metal then modern death/hardcore metal tbh. thats why i bought the guitar. i am the lead guitarist in an 80's hair metal parody band so this axe is visually perfect for me.

Features : 7
Features has been covered by earlier reviews, it may seem.
I've got the orange/green finish.
The volume and tone control seem solid, but the pick-ups switch looks like some cheap **** from a toy store. Else the hardware is nice, even though I like the Edge Pro alot better than the Edge 3. It just gives more of a quality feel.
I really dig the X-shape!

Sound : 7
I play in a thrash band with a heavy sound and some extreme influences. I play both lead and rythm with a lot of palm muting, heavy downstrokes and some tremolopicking. I play trough a Peavey 5150II amp and a Hughes & Kettner 4x12 cab. (I use a Behringer V-Amp Pro for compressor and noise gate, from time to time.)
The Xiphos is very silent - no hissing or noise or unwanted feed-back, so it seemes like the pick-ups are nicely set and that the wirering is done properly. Due to the neck-thru and the mahogny body, the sound is very heavy. I would say its more of a riffer guitar than a lead one, but thats perhaps only me. For all heavy types of metal; metal core, death metal, gore metal... it would fit very nicely.
The D-Activators sound heavy along with this type of wood. But the tone is still very defined and these 2-string semi octaves, octaves, fifths and such all sound very clear. I like that, allthough it lacks the agressive dry/crispy sound of the EMG81. But the bridge pos is more than angry enough, still.
The neck pos I usually use for clean, but also some leads with distortion. The lead is nice and full/rich, but I don't like the clean sound. That might be because I'm spoiled with the DiMarzio Evolution pick-ups in my RG2550 Prestige neck pos, but I find the clean to be abit weak and "dead".
I really like the heavy and defined sound of it, but I would perhaps be even more satisfied if it was a bit more crispy and "active" than it is today. Also, a nicer clean would be nice. But I won't replace the mics.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
The action was ok and so was the set-up. But as I downtuned it to D and changed to softer/thinner strings (from 010 to 009), the strings buzzed like hell. Adjusting the action was easy, but "balancing" the springs was more of a hazzle. Seems like the Edge Pro is alot easier to adjust than the Xiphos' Edge 3. But now it's stable and stays well in tune even with extended use of the tremolo.

The balance is ALL WRONG. The moron installing the strap knobs must have been drunk at work that day. The headstock of a guitar isn't supposed to point towards the floor. Ibanez need to fix this. I moved the aft knob down and forward and now the guitar is well balanced.
There is a reason for most guitars looking more or less like a Strat; the balance between neck/headstock and body is perfect. Don't change this "ratio"!

I also like the Wizard Prestige neck from my RG2550 alot more than the Wizard 2 neck on the Xiphos. But thats just a matter of taste and feel of the hand, so that has nothing to do wth the rating.

Reliability/Durability : 7
Seems like it stays in tune even though hard playing.
The hardware, in general, will do the job, but I expect the pick-up switch to surrender with time.
The finish is nice but the coating on the tremolo wears off where I rest my hand during playing. But this is also the case for alot more expensive guitars.
The buttons and knobs are good and it seems to be dependable but I would never go on stage with a tremolo-guitar without having a back-up. That would be stupid concidering strings breaking easy.

Customer Support : No Opinion
2 year warranty.
Haven't had much need for that yet.

Overall Rating : 7
I've been playing for like 18 years. I own a modified Ibanez RG2550 Prestige and a Martin XC1T Ellipse.
If stolen, I'd probably get something else. A RG2610E Prestige, f.ex.
Not because the Xiphos is a poor guitar, but the Wizard Prestige neck better fit my hands and style, and that I rather have an Edge Pro tremolo.

I compared it to en ESP/LTD flying V type with fixed bridge, but I preffered the Xiphos.

I recommend using Playback-Europe. They have the best prices in Europe. Purchases over a certain value will admit free delivery by UPS. Most US-stores live in the stone-age and don't have systems that accept international credit cards.

indonesia ibanez, 24 jumbo frets, true neck thru mahogany body, basic three way pickup select volume and tone knobs seems to have 'normal' tone control unlike most ibanez tone controls which don't have alot of cutoff. knobs very smooth feeling and switch has a nice click when engaged, good thing thou.. maybe its me my first non used guitar so everything is so new and good. Has fancy tone shifting blue/green paint and got alot of attention walking out of the music store.

Sound : No Opinion
AS far as the sound of this guitar it is Metal period and it kicks ass.
Going into my mesa triple with a full stack at shows or half at practice it pretty much will punish the dead or living. I use a Adams distortion pedal for solos and some rhythm , between the top boost on the adams pedal and the activator pickups this things will crunch and scream and pinch harmonics will make you cry.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
I use heavy bottom strings and light tops this made a mess out of the whole guitar and kept pulling the bridge up and making the fine tuners bottom out when i tried to tune it with the neck locked. If you want heavy crunch mega tone gotta use heavy strings and these problems come about with any guitar really! Just save yourself some time and buy a extra spring for the trem when your at the music store. you will have to add one to use heavy strings. adjusting the trem screws will not fix the problem..trust me i tried. If you can't do the adjustment yourself then you suck and you dont deserve heavy tone anyways nines are for wimps!! 13 bottoms 10 tops period. The D activator pickups in these thing are very hot and sound like active pickups, which i guess includes all the highs and strange mid and medium bass response that actives give you, which is pretty much screaming metal tone, again this is a good thing forget EMG's and batterys this thing rocks out of the box as far as pickups. The rear strap position is a little to far back and makes the guitar sit a little funny. i just added another strap mount closer to the bridge and left the stock one so you have a choice. I hate strap locks so a stiff new leather strap is mandatory for this guitar otherwise it will slip off in the stock positions. This should not be any new news for metal players who use large crazy body styles.

Reliability/Durability : 8
Seems to have as much durability as any other guitar, besides the fact that large body styles will bump into everything, no matter how use to it you are, super mega metal body styles are like bump magnets. The hardware seems to be ok and is straight forward like most locking trems as long as you don't over tighten anything and strip the locks or bridge. You can yank out the string locks on the bridge and just use ball ends, especially with large strings no slips, clips or stripping to worry about. The only thing i dont like is the bridge and the shape and height of the bar, time for old school vise bending timeto get the height i like. As far as my opinion i would always use a backup at shows but thats just me, this thing stay in good tune aside from the normal low E and B string slips otherwise this thing will stay in tune for weeks.Having a second guitar is just good for different sounds or tunings...thats the norm really. Just don't be stupid and order the case for this thing if you take it to shows because no standard case will fit it not even larger jackson cases

Customer Support : No Opinion
any guitar i own the warranty gets voided the minute i touch it, between body and bridge mods kiss the warranty goodbye so i have no idea what ibanez service is like

Overall Rating : 9
Overall a neck tru body with 24 frets and locking trem and fancy neck binding and markers and custom pickups will take you up to well over 2000 bucks so for about 600 to 900 bucks this is a dam good deal if you want metal tone heaven. Ibanez necks are slim fast and solid and will spoil you rotten its a really good guitar and the paint job alone will get you more attention than any factory finish could. Custom paint jobs can cost around 400 to 700 bucks. The guitar seems to be well ajusted from the factory to run 9 gauge strings with super low action. If you run heavy gauge strings expect so time and a extra bridge spring to get it up and running.

this is an update post from below.

the edge III tremolo is terrible. the knife edges are already dull from normal use. i have lubed them up and taken care of them, therefore, there is no excuse.
i have read where the edge III's have cracked in half from temperature changes going to and from the car. this hasnt happened to me, yet, but im not keeping it around long enough to find out.
ive blocked it off with pieces of wood, and while its a hard tail, now, it stays in tune and sounds a bit better.

Sound : 10
still sounds amazing. a little better now that the trem is blocked off.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
still great. ive changed the tuning pegs to some schaller m6 locking heads.

Reliability/Durability : 7
im really unhappy with the edge III tremolo. im going to switch it out for a floyd rose original when i can afford it. when i do that, ill rate it a ten, but not right now.

Customer Support : No Opinion
still havent dealt with ibanez directly. they dont have their websites up to date or very well organized, though.

Overall Rating : 8
apart from the tremolo, tuning pegs, and pickups, the guitar is still a great buy at 650 bucks. just be prepared to mod it.

Features : 10
* Finish: chameleon red
* Body style: ibanez takes on the warrior and makes it better
* Bridge style: edge III
* Tuners: nothing to write home about, but its double locking. who cares?
* Neck/Scale: 25.5" wizard II. very thin and fast. wide fretboard. very comfortable.
* included accessories: piece of crap cable, four allen wrenches, and a spring.
* year made/where it was made: 2007 in indonesia
* frets: 24 jumbo
* controls given: 1 volume, 1 tone, 3-way. simple enough, eh?
* Pickup configuration: double buck
* Make and model of pickups: dimarzio d activators
* passive electronics
* Body and neck woods: Maple neck through a mahogany body. what could be more fitting?

the feature that sold me on this guitar over a few others i had my eye on was not the pickups, the finish, the shape, or the bridge.
it was the reversed headstock. reversed headstocks put the string tension where it needs to be. more tension on the lows and less tension on the highs. more chunk for the rhythm and more ease for the solos.

Sound : 10
i play mostly metal (black, death, thrash), and thats exactly what it was built for. it does its job phenominally.

i have a jcm2000 dsl100 through a handbuilt W.A.R. 3x12"+1x15" (3 celestion sidewinders and an eminence big ben). i use a boss tu-2 tuner, maxon od-9 pro+ tube screamer, mxr kfk-1 ten band eq, mxr m-134 stereo chorus, boss rv-3 digital reverb and delay, a bbe 482i sonic maximizer, and an isp rack unit decimator.

it has zero hiss or hum. cleanest sound ive ever heard when im not playing.

the sound is full bodied, yet bright. plenty of low end with shimmering highs that dont shriek.

its great on cleans, overdrive, and nasty distortion. every note sings out without any persuation. harmonics are rich.

my only dislike with the sound was in the pickups, because i hate active electronics. i bought the guitar with a seymour duncan invader and swapped it quick. sounds perfect, now.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
out of the box settings have never impressed me cuz i like to customize everything. most of the time, i play for a few seconds and start changing strings and pickups and the factory settings dont matter.

the action was super low, and i got a ton of fret buzz, which i was expecting, but the intonation, pickup adjustments, et cetera were all great. the bridge was floating completely flush.

the finish had one tiny little nick in it from what i could see, but it isnt even noticeable. chances are, youd be too busy staring at the colours to see flaws.

the only flaw i could find was in the pickup wiring. it was either done by a genius or an idiot. it was confusing and hard to figure out. i eventually just undid it all and rewired it in a way that made me comfortable.

Reliability/Durability : 8
this guitar will withstand anything. its built like a tank, stays in tune perfectly, and looks cool enough to distract people from your bad playing.

the hardware is bulletproof. i am going to change the tuning pegs, cuz the feel a bit loose, but other than that, its great.

the electronics seem pretty reliable as well.

the finish doesnt smudge very easily. the only time i noticed anything was after i hadnt showered in too long.

my only concern in this category is with the positioning of the strap buttons. it makes the guitar feel neck heavy with a regular strap. a lot of people have moved them somewhere safer, but i have a really heavy duty strap that keeps everything in place.

as for playing a gig without a backup- dont do it. ever. i dont care how good the guitar is. your strings might suck.

Customer Support : No Opinion
i havent dealt with ibanez, yet. it doesnt seem like ill have to.
it did have a warranty, but i changed the pickups, so its void, i think.

Overall Rating : 10
ive been playing for 7 years, now. ive made some mistakes in gear choices in the past, this is not one of them.
if this guitar was stolen or lost, i would definitely buy it all over again.

this guitar is great. the only thing that bugs me is the weight distribution. my favourite feature is the reversed six-in-line headstock, as i mentioned above.

i compared it to a few other ibanez guitars and some of the newer bc rich guitars (namely, the nt jr v and the nt beast, both with floyd rose tremolos).
i chose this one because it was affordable and had the specs that i was looking for.
i have had two bc rich guitars in the past and bought them both far too hastily. had the newer nt models not come out, i wouldnt have even considered anything by bc rich. i have my own bc rich horror stories, and have heard bad things from others about bc rich. though, i have never heard anything bad about ibanez. this was the selling point.

i wish it came from the factory with strap buttons in the correct places for proper weight distribution, along with a hybrid tremolo that would lock into a hardtail when needed.
oh. and finding a case is a bit tedious.

buy it. now.

Features : 9
This is a 24-jumbo-fret metal axe with what Ibanez calls an "agressive" x-shape body and a chameleon finish. It's fitted with two of DiMarzio's new D-Activator pickups, which are passive pickups designed to sound like active pickups. The neck is a maple through-neck with a rosewood finger board, and the body is mahogany. The chameleon paint is very eye-catching; everyone who's seen the guitar has been thoroughly impressed, and I got a lot of attention leaving the store with it.

It's not a versatile guitar; it's made strictly for metal, so with two hot humbuckers (bridge and neck) and a three way switch, you're basically deciding on exactly what metal tone you want.

The guitar features the Edge III tremolo; I've heard some people dislike it, but not only have I had no problems with it, the thing hardly ever goes out of tune. I practice for anywhere from 2 to 7 hours a day, and I haven't had to tune it in over a week. Even then, it was just the B string falling a little flat.

Sound : 10
The sound of this guitar is just phenomenal. The maple through-neck, rosewood fingerboard and mahogany body give it great clarity, while still retaining a big, rich tone with exceptional sustain. The D-Activators are superb pickups ??? bell-like clarity that picks up all kinds of subtleties (pinch harmonics really scream on this axe), yet there is a warmth to them that active pickups tend to lack. Playing the guitar clean belts out a surprisingly smooth tone. The pickups are definitely hot, and made for metal. Players of mainstream rock, classic rock, blues, etc., need not apply. It lacks versatility, but the body style clearly shows who this guitar is for. It's designed to be a killer metal axe and it does so superbly.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
This guitar was perfectly set up and ready to rock right out of the box. The action is exceptionally low, and the neck is very thin, making it extremely easy to play and ideal for metalheads. Strings require only the lightest touch. And yet, despite the low action, I've had not a single instance of string buzzing. My previous Ibanez, an S Prestige, was not only considerably pricier but required a lot of bridge and neck adjustments to get rid of string buzzing while retaining a low action. The Xiphos is clearly made for players who have speed on the brain ??? low action and no buzzing whatsoever.

Reliability/Durability : 9
I haven't road-tested the guitar, but near as I can gather it's as well made as any guitar I've seen. It feels very solid despite its relatively moderate weight (compared to an Ibanez S series for example), and the finish is excellent. I've had no trouble with scratches. However with the glossy chameleon finish you may need to wipe fingerprints off it regularly.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had to deal with Ibanez.

Overall Rating : 10
At only $650 (the case is another $160, and you need it because no other case will fit this guitar), this guitar is a tremendous value. It sounds fantastic, sits comfortably on either the right or left leg (personally, I prefer to play in the classical position with the guitar over the left leg), and has a fat yet exceptionally clear and surprisingly warm metal tone. It's built for thick distortion, and it handles it easily. I have a Schecter C7 Blackjack and the Ibanez S-Prestige, and the Xiphos is far and away my favorite of the three. I suppose if I played more rock or blues I would prefer a more versatile or smoother-sounding guitar. But I'm a metalhead, and this is the best metal axe I've laid my hands on.

Finish - Red Chameleon (changes from red to green) Very cool!
Star shaped body
Ibanez EDGE III bridge
Non-locking Ibanez tuners
Thin, flat neck. Jumbo frets. Very, very fast.
Mine came with the custom-fit case.
Made in 2007 in Indonesia
24 Frets
Solid top
1-Volume, 1 Tone, 3-way toggle switch
Dual Humbucker
Loaded with DiMarzio D-Activator pickups (passive)
Neck is maple (neck-through), Wings are mohagany

Sound : 10
I play metal, this guitar is made for metal. Perfect.
I use it with a Randall Warhead amp and Mesa Oversize Recto 4X12
Not noisy except when you want to be.
Very full sound, but very clear and articulate
No dislikes with the sound

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The action was set very low, I had to make a truss rod adjustment to loosen it to stop the strings from fretting out on the first fret.
The only complaint I have is where the strap buttons were located, they make the guitar very uncomfortable and neck heavy. However, if you move the strap buttons to 1-behind the neck, and 2- about two inches to the right of the input jack. Then it balances like no other!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Yes, it will survive live playing
The hardware seems like it will last.
The finish is very thick, and seems like high quality.
The strap buttons are solid, now.
Yes, I feel I can depend on it.
I never gig w/o a backup.

Made in Indonesia, 2007. Model name is Xiphos. Weird shape guitar, designed by Ed Laing for Necrophagist guitarist Muhammed Suicmez (outstanding shredder by the way!). I deeply investigated the guitar before I bought it, it has a nice story, go to http://www.ibanez.com/eg/xiphos.aspx and watch the video. I also heard that there are Japanese versions available too but no idea how much they cost. I bought mine second hand (only used for 2 weeks) from one of my friends who bought a real bargain USA Jackson from Ebay about the same time he received this XPT. I paid 350GBP for it but usual price for the new ones is around 450GBP here in UK (cheaper in USA : 650$ new). A nice bargain for me.

Finish is called red chameleon, guitar changes color according to the light angle, it is mainly red but under stage lights it changes from red to yellow, green and sometimes a weird greyish color. Really cool. Body is mahogany and it is kinda heavy. Neck is thru, 648mm (25.5") scale and it has 24 jumbo frets, just like some RG models, with shark inlays. Quite fast and comfortable neck, a little bit wide for me but that's OK, wider space between strings gives a little more clarity on each note, I suppose. Action was very low when I got it that I had to heightened the strings a little, low E string was rattling like crazy. Now it is perfect and the action is still quite low without any buzzing. It has 2 DiMarzio Activator humbuckers, 1 volume and 1 tone knobs, plus a LP style 3-way selector switch below the knobs (bottom of the body). This is a good idea since I usually hit selector switch by mistake while performing live, now I will not, because it is really far away from where my right hand is. Bridge is not my favourite, it is Edge III, but it does the job well.

Sound : 10
Guitar has 2 DiMarzio Activator humbuckers, very strong sound and not muddy. Crystal clear. Especially bridge bucker sounds exactly like a properly fitted EMG81, but of course it is not an active pickup which I like most, because you don't deal with a 9V battery. It is a perfect fit for me since I play strong guitar music and I am into heavy metal, trash and sometimes death metal. Both buckers are quite silent without any humming, they are very stable and not microphonic. Impressive pickups.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Perfect. Everything is cut, placed and finished perfectly. You can hear a selector click sound on most of the guitars but not on this one. Pickups are placed correctly and routing looks very good without any flaws. Because neck is thru and the heel shaped pretty good, there is nothing to stop you when you get higher on frets. Nice and smooth.

It has a gothic style feeling on it although it changes color under stage lights but maybe that's just me. Finish is really cool.

I've been playing since 1991. My main guitars are: a Dean Razorback Explosion (2006 Chinese), a custom shop ESP Horizon (1995, USA) and a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser FR (2007, Korean). My main FX unit is Zoom G7.1.ut and I mainly use a Marshall JCM800 for live performances. For practice, I use a Fender 30W.

It is a comfortable guitar and built with good workmanship. Neck is impressive as well as the sound. Body/neck joint heel shaped so perfectly, there is nothing to stop you when you visit the rusty end of the fretboard. Very comfortable neck with butter smooth action. Frets are very high quality and probably will last for a lifetime. I am not a big fan of Indonesian guitars but this is a nice one.

This is a heavy metal guitar, I don't think it is good for any other style, not only because of it is extraordinary shape but also because of the sound and tone properties. It is strong and it has all the roars and growls of a heavy metal guitar. Perfect for Dimebag, Scolnick, Friedman, etc type shredders. I think it is especially designed for live playing but I really find it comfortable to play while sitting too. The overall shape reminds me Jackson Warrior a little, but it is better for me. It fits better anf feels right.

The only thing about this XPT700 is the bridge unit, I really don't like Edge III tremolos, they have a lot of parts and pieces, I like more plain units like original Edge tremolos or the first Floyd Rose ones. But it doesn't interfere with the playability anyway, it is just my personal opinion. Bridge is quite solid and guitar definitely stays in tune for days.
