The guitar we are looking at here is a 60s beginners guitar which is unfittingly named Immortal. It is cheaply made and without any real quality as far as playing it or sound goes. This one is red and white and silver and has a short neck and small tuning keys. It has 2 double coil pickups and a wooden bridge with stationary string points. It has the output jack on the side and has a plastic nut.

I have been able to coax tones from this junky guitar that work pretty well with early eighties punk rock tunes. Besides that, the sound is inferior to any other guitar in my collection.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:

The action is poor and the adjustments are weak. Novelty is the only value of the Immortal.
Reliability/Durability

NOT FOR STAGE USE. It does come on and everything works but it is such a junky instrument that I would not ever trust it.

I've been playing since 1978 and own 17 guitars and 3 sets of drums. All guitars and drums are pre 1975 issue. The Immortal is not seen much so it has a place in my collection. All collectors should have at least one novelty piece.

I have had this guitar for 11 years and I do not know what year it was made. It is maroon(burgandy) with white pickguard and white pickups. The pickups are double coyell AND the bridge is made into the body. Hardware is inexpensive looking.

I think the immortal sounds ok if you are playing raunchy old pop rock or punk. It does not have a great sound at all. It is not a guitar for jazz or funk.

Action on the immortal is good enough to play but not great. Neck is warped and it won't tune up just like it should. ?The maroon body is pretty.

I don't use this guitar anymore. It is out of adjustment like I said earlier.

Immortals are hard to lay your hands on so they are interesting but to use one to play regularly would not be a good idea. I have a Fender Jazzmaster and a Niven 12 string. I have been playing 18 years.
