Made in Korea, designed in UK. Distributed in Canada through Indieguitars.ca I think mine might have been the first in Canada. "Super T" model, 2007/2008. 22 frets, 25 1/2" scale, basswood body with veneer top, maple neck with rosewood, gold painted chrome hardware, gotoh-syle tuners.

Mine has the blonde/natural finish, with the photo-flame top. Pretty sweet looking with the gold hardware, actually

Neck single coil (strat), bridge humbucker, 500K pots

Like a tele--about the same weight as a Fender Mexican-made tele

Sound : 8
For starters, it doesn't really sound like a tele. The heavier basswood body is a bit dark. There's also quite a bit more sustain than one would normally associate with a tele.

Stock pickups--well the single coil with 500K pots is a bit bright. I swapped that out with a dimarzio fast track. The bridge humbucker was quite nice, but I ultimately replaced that with a Carvin Alan Holdsworth humbucker (very nice & inexpensive).

After changing the pickups, this axe is extremely versatile, with a very simple pickup scheme. No hum, and lots of sustain. Darker than a real tele, but bright enough to get a tele vibe. Punchy and bright enough for funk, but with enough sustain to rock out.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar was setup quite nicely. Intonation was spot on. I simply adjusted the action slightly to my preferences. No fret buzz at all. The whole thing played incredibly well. The insides are also neat and tidy. Clean routing. The neck fits snugly in the pocket.

The neck feels great. A nice, light natural finish and smooth as can be. Not too thin or thick, and very fast.

It may be a budget guitar, but they certainly did a great job putting it together.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've gigged and rehearsed with this guitar for about a year now. It's a solid, solid instrument that plays great. It's not the hippest guitar in my collection, but for some weird reason, I keep coming back to it. It kicks *** at gigs--I know it'll do exactly what I want it to do.

Saw this guitar in Montreal during the Jazz Festival at the Indie Guitar Booth, and after trying it I knew I had to get one. Paul's a great guy, it was really good chatting with him.

Overall Rating : 9
I have a lot of guitars, and have been through my fair share. I'm never worried when I take this one to a gig, mainly because it sounds and plays great, and it's rock solid. And really, that's all that matters in the end

This is telecaster style guitar i got one of the early editions which they dont do any more which has binding round the top.The pickups are not standad tele there is a a humbucker at the bridge, and your normal single coil at the topThe body is maple with a flame maple top finished in a dark grey sunburst like some lold les paul customs used to have.It has a traditional style scratchplate but again with a twith it's silver perloid. It has a nice chunky yet fast maple neck with a rosewood board. It has all the typical hardwhere and controls of a tele, volume and tone with 3 way switchand all the hardwear is gold plated. The look isn't too everyones taste and im not overly keen on the hardwear

Sound : 6
I play mostly classic rock and a bit of blues but i do like to drift in to the heavier stuff . I run it through a fender frontman practise amp and just use the distortion channel on that. This guitar has a nice accoustic sound to it and is great at the bridge humbucker and gives a really nice sound(think intro to mettalica sanitarium and led zeppelin babe im gonna leave you)and as soon as you add distortion the bridge humbucker turns in to a crunch machine ,however switch it onto the rythem pickup on eaither channel and it's terrible it is way to thin with no trace of a nice blusey tone. This i was dissapointed with but other than that it's a generally good sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 4
The action was rubbish ,i tried out with my friend (also a guitar player) lots of indies and all of them had fretbuzz on the second and first string, this is due to incorrect nuts ON ALL OF EM!.Also it is impossible to keep the first string in tune nomatter what strings i used. The pickup height were to low for me but there easily adjusted .The tuning pegs and all the hard wear was spot on

Reliability/Durability : 5
I wouldn't use this on a live gig because of the lack of different tones avaliable plus it wouldnt hld tune for more than one song .The front finish isnt solid i's already been dented and cracked twice and thats down to me just resting it on the amp for half a minute ,god knows what would happen on a stage

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with em

Overall Rating : 7
I've been playing a while and this is my second guitar (first was a cheap one off my uncle. if it was stolen i would be annoyed because i would have nothing to play ,i wouldnt be annoyed that that particular guitar was nicked .I would save up for an american strat hss (what im doin now) Having said all this the guitar does have a nice feel to it and the bridge pickup is nice and for #239 you can't really complain
