The sound comes from the PRS pick-ups and Inspire did an amazing job at adjusting them. In short, unbelievable sound from clean to crunch to metal. Playing through a Line 6 Spider (2 10' Celestians) and I am in heaven for sound! I have never produced better and rarely heard as good a sound.
Action, Fit, & Finish

One of the fastest guitars I've played. Pick harmonics are effortless and the action is perfect. Finish is unbelievable and I'm scared to hold it sometimes because it is just so beautiful. What really sets this out is the finish on the neck. It's not only beautful but I think it enhances the playability of a standard maple neck. As this was a custom build and the first for the configuration, I was not suprised to see that the bridge and intonation needed to be tweaked. See customer support below.

Guitar feels solid. Reminds me of a Gibson feel, plays and sounds like a PRS.

This is what truly separates the great from the mediocre. The bridge and intonnation had to be adjusted as I have always played Floyd-Rose tremolos and play them like FRs. The PRS-style bridge was strange for me (even the I ordered it that way.) Inspire Guitars was amazingly curteous and responsive to my concerns taking the guitar and making the adjustments within a day. I would buy again based on customer support as it feels like your dealing with a very professional company.

Been playing over 20 years and have played professionally for many of those years. I have played many guitars from Fenders, Charvels, Gibsons, PRS and Ibanez. This one plays as good if not better than anything I have played. If I was stranded on an island and could only have one, this one would certainly take the lead. The best part is that for the money, you absolutely cannot get a better instrument, period. I am considering getting one or two more before the demand goes through the roof and the prices triple.

Made in 2004, New Sonic Model from Inspire Guitars. The Sonic I got came with a carve flame top, a wilkonson trem and gold plated paf pickups. The neck is actually stained maple the same color as the body a really cool look. The headstock is also flamed. The tuners are perloid and the dot inlays on the neck are pau pearl. Actually the model and color I got is the same as the one displayed on the main page of the website. 24 frets, It came with an awesome tweed case. The Sonic is kinda like a carved top strat sort of. The guitar also came with a series/parallel switch.

The Paf's sound as you would expect. It's warm, rich and crunchy. I'm very pleased with the tone. It's sounds much like a Les Paul type sound. The guitar is incredibly lite, I was amazed at how it sounded. I hate the weight of a boat anchor guitar, like a Les Paul.
The series switch is cool, it really changes the sound of the guitar. The guitar is really quite. Inspire must shield their guitars really well.

What can I say here. The guitar is absolutely beautiful. The website doesn't lie. It's a work of art. The setup and action was great. The Neck was smooth and their were no flaws inthe finish. The top has to be "10" the book match is so good it almost looks like 1 piece. Everytime a play, people come up to me and say how beautiful the guitar looks. It's a vintage amber flame just like on the website. www.inspireguitars.com

I've had it for 2 months. Hasn't let me down yet. Stays in tune as you'd expect any wilkoson trem guitar would.

I did email them a few times and they replied the same day, asked questions before I bought it. They do have sound files of each of the models so you can hear what the guitars sound like. They do have a money-back policy so I thought it was pretty low risk. All in all a custom guitar for about a 1000 bucks is awesome.

I've been playing for about 4 years. I own a schecter eletric and a ovation acoutic. I was kinda of bored with the same old "manufactured" junk guitars. I wanted something nobody else had, something unique, well I got it. It's awesome. The other guitar player in my band is jealous. What can I say. I had a about 1000 bucks saved up and I couldn't afford a PRS, and Strat was about 1200 bucks for a good one. So I got a great deal.
