I bought this guitar 3 months ago in a huge mall in Cologne. Cost me about ? 180,-. This model comes without a case for the instrument. It has a quilted top finished in transparant blue. The shape of the body is PRS like. No bindings and 24 frets. A strat lookalike tremelo system whech works properly. The Duke 10Q comes with two humbuckers a 3 way selector and 1 volume and 1 tone control. Nice feature is that the headastock has the same color as the body. Looks very expensive.

Sound : 8
The sound is pretty thich for a small guitar so I guess the humbuckers do their job really fine. I mainly use the guitar for one special song which requires a nice and warm sound. Normally I would use a Gibson Les Paul for it, but I just like the looks of the guitar as it looks really exclusive. I play it on a Marshall JTM45 MKII model from 1997. The marshall is in a clean sound. My overdrive comes from a Mesa Boogie V-twin, programmed in a Boss GT 5 and Morley Bad Horsie makes my wah wah sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
I nearly didn't do any modifications on the guitar before playing it live. As a matter of fact, I just took it out of the carton box, tuned it. Tried it, put it in a case and the next time I played it was at a gig for 400 people without any problems. After that I switched the strings from thin to rather thick and de-tuned it to D-minor. No problems at all!

Reliability/Durability : 8
As I just own it for a couple of months I'm not sure if this guitar will last for a livetime but hey. For 180 euro's I will buy a new one ones my first string breaks. The hardware looks and sounds pretty solid and I wouldn't hesitate using it a full gig without a backup guitar.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had any problems with J&D guitars. I own several of 'em now for some years.

Overall Rating : 9
I recomend every guitar player at least to try a Jack and Danny. A friend of mine tried a Les Paul model and thought it would cost like 1600 euro's. Besides that he works in a guitar store and is really excperienced.
