Who ever heard of J&D Brothers. I think it came from China. It is a Michael Schenker Flying "V" with a bolt on neck. It's got the cool black and white paint job. Real light wood with better than expected crome hardware and cheapo pickups. 22 Frets with the H/H pickup configuation. The dimentions are right from a "67" Gibson V. Looks just like Michael's V.

Medium high output low noise with some cut off in the high scratchy area. Crunch is punchy with no scratchyness. Harmonics are OK. Clean it sounds rich with full bandwidth. Not bad at all for under $200.

Good low action with minimal fret buzz. Fast enough but not like a wizzard neck. It does stay in tune well. The flaws are very noticable from the paint over runs and sloppy pick guard cutouts. It also has the worst P/U rapping I have ever seen. But the truth is I would have paid $200 for the MSG paint job alone.

For $200 bucks what do you expect. It will do fine live and take a decent beating. I would discribe it as a Ibanez that was thrown together fast. I do enjoy palying it and wished that when I was a kid buying my first they would have had so much to offer so darn cheap. I must have paid $250 for a crapy copy with high action and awful pickups when I was 12. Now for $200 you get a stay in tune low action good sounding, playing and great looking guitar with cosmetic flaws.

I compared it to my other guitars. USA Fender HM Strat, Ibanez RG570 (Japan), Dean Caddilac III and Dean Z select (Korea).
I just had to buy it just for the ultra cool looks. It plays and sound well enough to gig with just fine. Just don't be a stickler for great workmanship. For $200 I still got a deal.
