Features : 7
24 Frets (a little small), 7 strings (only important thing), H-S-H, 2 potis, 5-way switch and I don't know the scale.. That's all, I think..

Sound : 3
Worst I've ever heard from one of mine guitars. It's really bad. I hope it's only because of the pickups. Maybe I'll purchase sometimes new ones.
I play a Marshall MS-2 and an ENGL Screamer Top and

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
Neck was alright, not really 'fas', the top is only a cheap veneer. The funniest thing is, that the 'fretmarkingdots' doesn't are in a row..

Reliability/Durability : 5
I dont's think, that I ever would keep it as a live-backup. Only bought it to se, if 7 strings fit to me, but I wouldn't trust in it, live.
The stap buttons I changed into Schaller Strap Locks so I can't say a thing 'bout the old.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never to deal with them, but the guys at the Musicstore Koln (biggest dealer) don't seem to be friendly.

I own it since some month and it's enough. Think I'll resell it.
Just wanna try 7-stings and now I'm about to buy a real one!

I don't think you should buy a J&D 7!

This is a 7 strings guitar with a solid body, very beautiful blue sunburst, 2 hambuckers 1 single coil, tremolo system, rosewood fretboard, etc... the fretboard is very light and thin comparing to many other 7 strings guitars that i've seen, and one of the reasons that made me buy it instead of an Ibanez RG7 is because when you're bending a string up or down, other 7 strings guitars turn out to be heavy hurting your fingers and eventually breaking the strings...

Sound : 9
I use this guitar in 2 different projects of different kinds of sound, jazz and metal. The clean sound comming directly from my Marshall JTM 60 is exelent for jazz, the medium frequency notes are completly deffined and clear, the response is beautiful between the 6th and the 12th frets. In metal... WOW clear sharped and powerful low frequency notes with almost any distortion. The only thing that turns out to be, well, not so good, is that in heavy distortions I can only use the rear humbucker in order to get a deffined low frequency sound... but what the heck!!!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar came with a premade setup compiling 2 beautiful ideas, one is the central humbucker coming on a diagonal position not like most guitars: II I II but instead II / II. The rear humbucker comes on a higher position wich helps you to get great deffined sound and harmonics at almost any fret... The guitar body well, you'll have to buy one to see!!!

Reliability/Durability : 9
Besides the guitar been cheap, the provided hardware is exelent and did not yet showed any signs of damage. To prove it, I have this guitar for almost 7 months and I did not yet changed any string, although i play with it every day! Strange hum :) ...

Customer Support : 10
Never needed anything although it comes with a 2 year warranty wich i don't think i'll ever need!

Overall Rating : 10
Check the price (bought new) and read my opinions. Anyway I have a Fender Stratocaster USA Plus on her original case for nearly 6 months because I started using this J&D guitar so that must justify something!!!
