The guitar has the same features as a real Stratocaster.

Sound : 8
It sounds very good when you play rock, blues, and that kind of stuff, but when you want to play heavy metal it sounds not good. All by all, after some finetuning it's a great guitar with great sound!!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Everything was ok. But i had one problem: The safety plastic was fitted around the knobs, and you have to take time to get it loose. Very frustating.

When you get a look on the details, you see that it's very good finished. Nice, and very sollid!!

Reliability/Durability : 8
I don't play live with this guitar, i don't think that it's made to play live. But it could, if you want it. As beginner guitar it's very good, better then most of the beginner guitar!!!

Customer Support : 8
I purchased it by a big music store in Germany, they have 3 year warranty, and 30-days-money-back. But from Jack and Danny there's no warranty.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
Overall it's a good guitar, special for beginners. I use it with a Behringer AC-108 Vintager Combo. An i can say you that that's a nice combination!!

If you are a beginner, and want a good guitar, better then the most beginner guitar. BUY THIS

this is a strat copy.

1 volume control,2 tones
22 frets
s-s-s
rosewood
included a lefty whammy bar

Sound : 10
it's a very versatile guitar,suits all musical styles(rock,blues,metal).
beautiful warm, clean sound and very nice distorted.i'm using a FAME amp, kind of crappy, and yet produces very good sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
the guitar was set up just fine, not too high or low.
whammy bar can't get in place easily and even if it does it gets stuck and this can be very frustrating.one tone knob does not work since the day i bought the guitar brand new. other than that it has no flaws in gear or appearance.

Reliability/Durability : 8
i really doubt if the whammy bar will handle much, since it takes a huge struggle to get it in or out and it's already wearing out.
the strap buttons seem solid and trustworthy and i personally believe that it could handle a gig,if treated carefully...however if i were you,i would have a backup guitar just in case.

Customer Support : No Opinion
i bought this from musicstore.de(great shop, really helpful)so i can't really talk about the company.it had a 2 year warranty.i thankfully haven't needed repair yet(after 4 months) but the communication with these guys is just great!!
i've visited the jack and danny official site and it's no good.thank god i don't have to deal with them if something goes wrong...

Overall Rating : 10
i have been playing acoustic guitar for a year and i own an ibanez acoustic and a yamaha classic.this was my first electric guitar.for this reason i tested several other models at the same price like the yamaha pacifica and fender squier.the j&d is a lot better than the other two.
i really like the sound of this guitar and i believe it's a great choice considering its cost.it is very well made, and the quality of it is really satisfying.
if i lost it i'd be really sad, since it's a great bargain and propably run off and buy it again.

Don't know the year, at least 1 year or older before I got it brand new.
So I'm assuming it was made in 2003.
I believe this is a Taiwan brand.

Strat copy, with a few universal things.

Made in China
22 frets
1 volume, 2 tones
s/s/s
Rosewood
Silver finish
Medium/Small neck
Left handed Whammy Bar (WTF?)

FOr more info, check out their website.

A guitar can produce as much as the player can produce. Been playing Acoustic for 3 years, this is my first electric.

Versatile- I can play blues, jazz, rock, metal with it.
Used a Roland Cube 15 amp. Going to get a different amp soon.
It has a deep sound, haven't experimented enough yet (had it for only 2 weeks).

Depending on the amp, obviously you can produce a variety of sounds.

Overall, very clean and warm tone.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
Action is set up well by the factory. Action is not too high or low, perfect for my playing style. Electronics appear to work accordingly. Aside from seeing leftover glue near the nut, everythign looks in order.
One thing that made me really mad was taking off the plastic protection on the "pickguard." Make sure you rip it off carefully of some of the plastic will get stuck under the knobs.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I'm a pretty careful person, I don't see why this guitar couldn't handle a gig.
Caution about screwing in the Whammy Bar. I over did it a few times and the bar was stuck in. Strap buttons appear to be solid. The guitar its a bit heavy though. I would use it for a gig.

No warranty, nothing. Got it for a really cheap deal. I bet the dude that sold it to me hijacked a J&D delivery truck and stole the inventory.

They do have a website, but it's completely useless.

As mentioned before, played Accoustic for 3 years. I have two other guitars, Yamaha f310 (Acoustic) and a Yamaha c-10 (classical). Used it on a Roland cube 15 amp, and it worked GREAT. Being a beginner as an Electric player, I wanted anything to start me off. I was looking for a Yamamha Pacifica 112 or 012 to start me off, but this guitar exceeds the sound of that. I tried both guitars. I liked this on more because of the tone this guitar produced. This guitar had an extra tone knob. Along with the tone, this guitar was cheaper than the Yamaha. I got it brand new for $195 CDN without tax. A deal like that is pretty hard to find around here. I also tried the Ibanez budget strat, and this guitar is by far better than that.
I love the overall quality of this guitar, with the sound it offers. But I absolutely hate the damn lefty whammy bar they gave me. I would also have like it more if it had at least one humbucker, like the Yamaha and the Ibanez. But, its something that I can live without.
If this were lost or stolen, I would kick myself in the nuts for losing a guitar. I would probably get another one though, simply because of its value.

This is a very decent guitar. A great thing about manufacturers that are not too famous is the quality of there guitars.

It was made in China. It looks like a Stratocaster. It's laminated. 1 volume 2x tone controls. Its a s/s/s pickup config. Neck is maple with rosewood fretboard. No idea about the body. Finish is black. Origonal, no frills bridge with tremolo. Alright tuners, not great. Neck's tiny. It came with strap and lead.

Sound : 10
It's a srat, suits rock/blues/metal ok i suppose. I'm using a Peavey Rage with it. All fine.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Set up fine, feels great. well I tightened the tremolo up too tight and and now the inside of the bridge is thread-bare but it still screws in and works. It's all great.

Reliability/Durability : 7
Do not play it live. It seems like it will survive bedroom jamming and practising. The strap buttons are great.

Customer Support : 5
There was no instructions, a piece of cardboard with chineses writing on it though. The shop gives a 2 year warranty.
IF ANYONE KNOWS THIS COMPANY'S WEBSITE PLEASE E-MAIL dredge@t-online.de PLEASE!!!

This is my first electric. I got an aucustic but it sux ass. I'd buy this guitar again if it were stolen or lost, because it's soooo cheap. I love the price, hate the fact the company (J&D) is not well known and it has no website. This is as good as a squier strat and Jackson JS-1. I wish I had a Gibson Les Paul.
