They warn you not to be too glowing with your reviews, but I'm going to be. I had played some of Jim's guitars so I knew pretty much what I wanted. Jim doesn't say "here are your choices", he says "What would you like? I can do it" Jim allowed me to pick out every feature and detail and he made it exacly as I wished. I knew this was going to be great when I went to Jims workshop near Marietta Georga and he was showing me blocks of wood to choose from that this guitar was going to be something special. I picked out this slab of flame maple and he turned it into the most incredible neck you have ever seen!! 22 frets (med jumbo), with a hard v that is perfect for me. Jim asked that I come early to pick the guitar up so he could reduce the v if needed. The body is made from a beautiful piece of solid swamp ash with a blonde finish. The guitar has 3 noiseless pickups, a 5 way selector and three volume/tone controls with a 20db boost wired in. He put Sperzel tuners on it, strap locks and supplied a great hardshell case to go with it.

Sound : 10
I play this straight into my Marshall JCM 900 and it screams. I can be playing a clean rhythm, hit the 20db boost and it is another guitar altogether. It rings with tonal clarity through it all. I can't do it justice with words, you need to play and hear one.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
I love the feel of this guitar above everything else. If I could never plug it in it would be the guitar I picked up because it feels plays so good. When I picked it up the action was perfent. Jim explained that because it had just been made some minor adjustments might be made over the first few months. I had a bit of fret buzz develop at the 3rd fret that Jim fixed with an 1/8" turn of truss rod.

Reliability/Durability : 10
The guitar is as solid as a rock, and I have no doubts that it will hold up to the road. The hardware is top notch and I can't wait to see how this finish ages it is just going to get better looking with a bit of time. I practice with this guitar without a backup, but I always have another with me at a show.

Customer Support : 10
Jim has contacted me several times to make sure everything is as it should be, and made it clear he will stand behind this guitar as long as
he is breathing.

Overall Rating : 10
I've played for 20 years, I own a 83" Fender strat elite, 63' Gibson Melody Maker, 1933 National Duolian, 1987 Taylor 410. I love everything about this guitar if I lost this I would order another as soon as I could. This was a gift to me from my wife, I don't know what she paid but it was worth it. I would like to thank Jim for building my perfect guitar.
