Features : 10
It's a unique single cutaway style with traditional vintage or historic Les Paul features, a over buffed cherry sunburst nitro finish on a very flamed eastern maple top with vintage sized small creme binding on body & neck, the body is one piece hondouran mahogany and one piece thick mahogany neck with long tenion that's like a 59LP, overall very light at less than 8 pounds. It's got a brazilian rosewood fretboard with simple dot inlay, and a nice flame maple headstock with the makers actual signature. The pickups are Duncan PAS's with nickel covers, Nickel grover tuners, Nickel Tuneomatic with brass string blocks, Light alum. stoptail piece nickel plated. It's got all the features of a historic LP but wrapped in a more comfortable package.

Sound : 10
The guitar is very acoustic unplugged and good sustain, very much like a 1950's Les Paul in weight and resonance, plugged in the Tone is great vintage LP, good sustain and dynamics in all positions, from warm to sizzle. The frets are set up with a minor slant that takes into account your fingers natural position when in play and adds to the comfort level on this guitar.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
This is a hand finished guitar, I know that the maker does not use any computer equipment and paints each one at a time so of the 3 I looked at there were very close to each other but still not like looking at Les Pauls at guitar center where they all look the same, The fit and finish reminds me of some of the old 58-59 les pauls I've seen, nice faded cherry finish and good wood grain on body & neck

Reliability/Durability : 10
It's a well made guitar, the maker has a underground reputation for building ubelievable replica guitars and has a background working in the vintage market so I would think it's got all the time proven features so I see no reason why it would not last a good 50 years.

Customer Support : 10
I've only talked to the maker once, he was very informative and nice, it's a small company so I would think based on my one conversation that support would be one on one from the actual maker.

Overall Rating : 10
It's the only guitar I found that appealed to my taste for Historic or Vintage Gibson Les Pauls but in a body design that more like a PRS single cut, I could never afford a private stock PRS with these same features as it would be a $8000 guitar from PRS and while I love traditional Les Pauls even the lightest LP is still not as comfortable in my hands as the Nunis was and for about the price of a plain old Les Paul standard I got a hand crafted instrument from a builder that I was able to talk to on the phone, So I'm happy.

The Nunis Standard is basically a Modern Les Paul.
This one was reliced.
It has a Mahogany Body, unfinished 3 piece maple neck middle piece is flamed. Quilt maple top and a quilt maple headstock cover
I believe a Brazilian Fretboard MOP blocks.
Locking Sperzels, Aged Nickel hardware Stoptail and adjustable bridge.
2 Seymour Duncan humbuckers (Antiquities? or PAF?) also with aged nickel covers.
two Vol, two Tone with a 3 way switch, wired just like a Les Paul.
It has a nice body contour to allow easier access to the higher frets.
I think the one thing I might've wanted was Strap Locks but no biggie there. All in all not a lot of features unless the relicing counts as a feature. Nice job on the top, not a very good job on the back no relicing on the neck.
This guitar also features a Nunis special which is slanted frets (minimal slant)
I'll give it a 10 to count relicing as a feature :)

Sound : 9
The sound switches just like a Les Paul, the Rhythm and Lead type sound with the mix on the middle.
Comparing this to a Les Paul, a lot might depend on the Pick Ups I think.
This guitar has a really nice Lead sound, very sharp, really cuts through the mix. The Rhythm and middle are very similar to a Les Paul I feel, with the Rhythm being a little brighter, not as dull which is nice.
One of my favorite sounds was a GMP Pawnshop Deluxe with '59s in it but that guitar also was chambered. This sound falls a little short of that but compares right up there with a Class 5 or Elegant even though I don't think this guitar is chambered.
I think the Maple neck really plays into this, giving it a bit of a brighter and more biting sound, a nice change from a Mahogany neck.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action is something you have to get used to, due to the slanted frets, the 1st and 2nd string don't always play as you'd expect, takes a little getting used to (even for a hack like me!)
Besides that the action is very good. The fit is great, it is a very comfortable guitar, I like the Maple neck very smooth and it is chunky good for my big hands.
the Relicing itself was nice on the top, not very good on the back and absent on the neck (I think on purpose) So I will subtract a point for that

Reliability/Durability : 10
Just got this, being that it is a Les Paul style guitar and very solid with a thick neck .. I imagine it'll last

Customer Support : No Opinion
Haven't had to deal with them

Overall Rating : 9
This I think is a great guitar for the bucks and a better alternative then a Les Paul for sure.
This guitar feels better, sounds better and looks about the same ha ha! as a Les Paul and price wise I think it is more bang for the bucks.
Got to get used to the slanted frets but after that very comfortable.
