This guitar was sent as a replacement for a defective JB Player Artist.
I bought the Artist back also, and it is a fabulous guitar.
As for the Tele. It is the custom red wine finish, 22 fret Tele with gold
hardware, through the body strings.
Frankly, the only good thing about the guitar is the finish on the body.
I have had to replace the nect with an EBAY Squier neck, the pick guard
was defective, I've replaced it with a Stew Mac cover plate for Teles on the neck pickup. The alignment of the bridge is off by micro meters, so
the strings have unusual tension, I will eventually replace the bridge.
The neck pickup has no significant volume, but the bridge pick up and the middle selector switch give me a decent amount of volume.
I am rating this only because I believe JB Player needs to know their
quality control was out to lunch on this one. Since it didn't cost me
anything but shipping, and I have modified it totally, it is a keeper
due to the beautifuly finish on the red-wine model with white binding.

It suints my music style for which I use this guitar, which is contemporary Christian/country.

Flaws....pick guard, neck pick up, neck, volume and tone controls,
bridge, alignment.

I only use it as a different guitar from anyone else's.

At Least JB player stood behind their product by sending this guitar
free, though I had to buy the other guitar back for $60.00, which was
the best $60.00 I ever spent

Overall Rating : 2
I've played guitar for 43 years. Owned up to 110 guitars and basses,
still own about 65. I would not cry if this guitar were stolen, but
I'd be upset.
I own several strats and teles. The only thing I like about this one
is it's color. I wish it had decent pickups and controls, and was
properly aligned for string placement.

This guitar is Korean made, I believe in 2001. It is an awesome replica of the Fender 52 Reissue. It has 22 frets, solid top, absolutely beautiful natural grain color with a black pickguard, maple neck and maple fretboard. The finish is incredible. It has the standard telecaster configuration with the exception of having two Fender Vintage Noiseless Pickups which are stacked passive humbuckers, although I will say that the two single coil pickups that came on it were excellent. Has one volume and one tone control and a 3 way selector switch just like any other straight telecaster. I also converted this guitar from string through bridge to string through body. This guitar is probably made from Korean mahagony and again, the finish is exquisite, you can see the grain through the finish just as you can on the Fender 52 reissue. Body style is standard telecaster style. Tuners are not locking but this thing stays in tune incredibly well and the neck has jumbo frets. It came with a very nice hardshell case when I purchased it. It was relatively inexpensive, costing $235.00 brand new, including the case. I've put about $250 in it with the string through body conversion and vintage noiseless pickups. It makes my Fender American Deluxe Telecaster sound like a piece of crap. Absolutely the best guitar I have ever played. I am extremely impressed with JB Player and understand why some well known musicians are now switching to JB Player.

I play just about anything from country to heavy metal. My passion is Steve Earle type stuff, rockabilly, classic rock and alternative country. Every once in awhile I get in a mood where I have to do AC/DC or Metallica type stuff and even grunge. This guitar can do it all. With these vintage noiseless pickups installed, it is much more versatile than my stratocaster, even with the standard 3 way selector switch. Understand that the only real difference between these vintage noiseless pickups and the stock pickups that came with this guitar is a little noise reduction. That noise was bearable before. There is absolutely no noise now with these new pickups. At the bridge position, this guitar sounds like the telecaster we all recognize. That classic tele twang with the treble turned all the way up on the tone knob and is perfect for country type leads. It is very bright. Turn it down about half way and the twang is reduced to that similar on the bridge position of a stratocaster or Les Paul and is perfect for heavy metal leads and is very rich. In the middle position, drawing off of both pickups, this guitar is great for classic rock with the tone knob about halfway. Turn it to treble and it works great for grunge and punk. Turn it to the neck position and it is absolutely awesome for blues on clean. This guitar is beautiful at any setting with your amp on the clean channel. Turn the distortion on and it is awesome. The sustain on this guitar is absolutely incredible. Makes my strat sound weak. I'm using this guitar through 4 different amps being a Marshall G30RCD, a Marshall Valvestate 15, an Ibanez Tone Blaster 15R and I have one of those little Marshall MS-2 Mini Amps for when I travel, which is a lot because of my job. I can do anything I want to do with this guitar. If it weren't for the fact that I couldn't stand to have just one electric guitar, I would sell the strat and keep this one. I am selling my American Deluxe Telecaster. This one puts it to shame. I love everything about this guitar.

When I got this guitar, the setup was pretty crappy. Strings were way to high and were really shitty and the intonation was way off. I was dissapointed, but it was so damn beautiful I had to keep it. Nothing else was wrong though with the setup and there were no flaws whatsoever. Stock pickups were good, but I wanted a little more so did the conversion to the noiseless pickups and although the sustain was excellent, I converted to string through body, mostly because the guitar will last longer. I give it an 8 because of the crappy setup and strings.

Reliability/Durability : 10
There is no doubt in my mind that this guitar would withstand live playing. It is solid as a rock, heavy as hell and the hardware is very high quality for a guitar made in Korea. Finish is pristine, strap buttons are solid and I think the quality is better than my Fender, which by the way cost me over $800 more than this guitar. I don't perform anymore, but, no one would go onstage without a backup.

I bought it off ebay, so I never dealt with customer service. The guy I bought it from was really nice though.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing nearly 40 years and used to be a professional musician before I realized I was starving to death. In addition to this guitar, I own a Fender American Deluxe Telecaster, which I am going to sell. I also own a Fender Deluxe Powerhouse Stratocaster, a Takamine Acoustic Electric Guitar and a Takamine G530 Acoustic Guitar. There is nothing I wish I had asked before I bought it and thought I was just getting a cheap tele clone that I could take on trips with me and not worry about screwing it up. It exceeded my expectations. If it were lost, I'd cry and get another one. If it were stolen, I would track the guy down and drag him to my ex wife's house and make him live with her forever. That would be worse than death. I love everything about it.
