Black arch top body, neck , and hardware. Soloist style body with a reverse Jackson headstock. It has a Gibson style bridge and is string through, no floyd yay! Standard schaler tuners non locking. 25.5" scale 24 jumbo fret neck, its BIG, not an IBBY for sure. It definatley has beef to it, Ibanez lovers go home. Case was nice. Japanese manufacture good attention to detail here. 1 vol and 1 EMG 707 (active)pickup has its own battery compartment so you dont have to open the control cavity to swap it. Body is mahogany and so is bolt on neck oh yea EBONY fretboard with no inlays. Simple guitar with no frills. One trick pony.

Sound : 8
Sounds great for metal. Good tight low end, the emgs excell in this type of tone. Clean sounds, well, sound very compressed which is cool if thats what you like but I like a more dynamic pickup. Its pretty much full volume all the time. I will keep the EMG in because the heavy tones are just so good. The lead tones are awesome with lots of thick mids and sustain and very articulate. Sorry no neck pickup cheaters allowed.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Setup was awesome, no buzz, no jagged frets, played great right out of the case. Stays in tune extremely well. Everything was new shiny and perfect. Finish was flawless.. The only gripe is the size of the control cavity! Its way too big for one vol knob. It seems they used the same standard cnc program to mill all of their production guitar cavities. the neck joint needs to be updated, its kinda bulky but not too terribly obtrusive just kinda old school. - 2 points for lazyness

Reliability/Durability : 10
This guitar is so basic you will never have problems. It stays in tune, the finish is very durable.. You could definatley depend on it. Its easy to swap a broken sring because it lacks the floyd trem. Nevery play without a backup, but at this price you could buy 2.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Cool no BS 7 string guitar, not versital but if you play metal you cant go wrong. Leads are awesome, it plays like a much more expensive guitar. This is the cheapest guitar I own but it's quality is on par with a $1k insturment. Good hardware, good pickups, good overall craftsmanship, you can definatley tell that theses recieve a little hand attention in the fret job department. I hate Ibanez RG 7's so this guitar is right on time for those who dont buy into the played out (Indonisian)Ibanez line. I own 4 other high end 7 strings and 4 six strings and this one is definatley not leaving my collection any time soon.
