now that i took out the single coil, it sounds great!
i use a 70's fender bassman 410 combo and a few stomp boxes(mainly an old morley distortion and a danalectro fab tone)
it ain't too noisy
it is good for blues and hard rock
i wish it had a tone knob and a fixe bridge

i have been playing for 17 years and have a 1989 charvel #5 neck thru.
i would not buy another jax because the price is outrageous now. i wish i hd a prs.
