Great quilted top, looks good. Floyd Rose trem is good and tihjt feeling. Pickups sound very good. I use this guitar a lot more than any of my 24 others except my 62 Strat (orig not reissue) but I don't like to travel with the Strat.Too many sticky fingers, if you catch my drift. The only problem I've had is the volume and tone pots have had to be replaced (under warrantee). Scratchy pots now better.Good feel and sustain. I love the wide, flat radius neck, very fast.

I play in a GB band and a Classic rock /Blues ban so I cover a lot of material from Jazz to Van Halen to Gary Moore and Koko Montoya and this thing pretty much cuts it all. I play mainly through a Rivera Sedona amp (great for electric AND acoustic sound)and use various pedals ( tube king, TS808 SD1 GT5) and it's real compatible with them all.Can cut Strat and Les Paul sounds with the pick up configurationI've done some work to the Floyd bridge (insert blocks and saddles)to keep from breaking so many strings. Much better now. This isn't the top line Rose bridge but it is better after a little attention.

Finish and set up were very good for a guitar in this price range. I've played PRS's that needed more work. The only thing tht neede attention were the bridge saddles and blocks. And that was Floyd's fault. I'm sure they are out straight on production but smooth these things out at the factory , please. Beautiful finish and fit, neck adjustment and PU height.

I play 2-3 nights a week and rehearse at least once, practice every day and this has withstood everything except the volume and tone pots, which have been replaced with aftermarket. Could be I got a bad run as these things don't usually wear out that quickly. nothing else adverse here.

Warantee fix was almost immediate. the Guitar center repair gut fixed it on the spot, but I also buy $50,000 of recoring equipment a year from them. Could be some special treatment there!

This is a 2000 Jackson made in Japan. OK - made in Japan, but this actually is of impressive quality. It's got a 24 fret Maple neck with MOP (not plastic!) Sharkfin inlays on a Rosewood board. Very cool feature is the bookmatched natural finish Flame Maple top with Austr. Lacewood body. It's got the DK body (super strat.) It is equipped with "Duncan Design" pickups, in a H-S-S config w/5-way switching, vol and tone controls. Jackson FR liscensed trem, Jackson tuners. Purchase price included a case.

I use this guitar to play everything from Aha to Jane's Addiction to Lit. I use it through a Line 6 Flextone. There seems to be a bad ground in the guitar itself. The bridge pickup is weak, but the two rail style single coils sound great. I am replacing the bridge pickup with a Dimarzio PAF Pro.

Unbelievably, the guitar was set up well, which probably had something to do with the fact that it's such a sweet looking guitar that everyone wanted to play it. The "Guitar Center Anniversary" "inscription" on the truss rod cover is hokey - it's a cheesy sticker. Otherwise, for a "Guitar Center" bought guitar it is actually pretty nice. The body finish is nice.

It better hold up live, that's why I bought it. The finish on the trem looks weak, not a durable as the old Chrome FR. I replaced the stock strap buttons with a DiMarzio strap. I would use it without a backup.

No problems with the warranty yet. However, the customer support through the internet is terrible. I have emailed them on several occasions for info and have recieved no response. I imagine that if I bought a Soloist or some other 1k plus guitar I would have gotten more attention.

I have been playing for 13 years, and have owned/played Charvel, Ibanez and Fender guitars. I love the finish, and I am looking for another Dinky style Jackson with a Quilted Maple top, if it's exactly like this one I'd be happy.
