Jackson Floyd Liscenced Locking Tremolo. DK Series Dinky Body (Actually the same shape as a Soloist. Jumbo frets on a satin finished neck. Great for Distorted rigs, but muddy as hell in the neck and middle positions. A good or bad thing depending on your tastes. In all the different amplification scenarios that I've used it in, its quiet. No hum or crackles, short of the slightly defective volume pot. No major complaints in my opinion.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Excellent set-up and fit & finish. Only the slightly defective volume pot as far as problems or issues are concerned.

Reliability/Durability : 9
Meets or exceeds all my needs for this category.

Customer Support : 9
Haven't needed any.

Been playing a long time... 17 years. Otherwise I absolutely love this guitar.

This guitar is basicaly a DK2 with some added features. It has a natural finish with a lace wood body and a flame maple top. It has a Duncan Design humbucker at the bridge and Duncan Design hot rails in the middle and neck positions. Chrome hardware and a Jackson Floyd for a bridge. Maple, bolt-on neck with 24 fret rosewood fingerboard with M.O.P. sharkfin inlays. Overall, a very beautiful guitar! I only give it a nine in this category because it can't walk the dog or take out the trash.

I use this guitar for mostly rock and metal but a little blues here and there. I replaced the stock HB with a Seymour Duncan JB and it sounds great! The two hot rail pickups are nice. You get the warm tone of a single coil without the hum. Definetly a nice feature.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
If you've never played a Jackson, the action dosn't get any better, period. This thing is lightning fast, but most Jacksons are. The finish is beautiful. This guitar looks better than PRS guitars that cost twice as much!

Reliability/Durability : 8
Everything on this guitar is solid. Well made considering it's not a U.S.A. made Jackson. I needed some fret work done on it recently but I think that's related to a year and a half of playing it and changing climates (I moved from muggy Florida to bone dry Colorado).

The guys at Jackson can be hot or cold. I e-mailed them once to find out some more info about the guitar and didn't hear a response. I e-mailed them again about a month after that and then they got back to me. I found out that there were only 300 of these guitars made!

For the money, you can't beat this guitar. Minutes before I bought this guitar I played a $1600 PRS. The PRS had average at best action. PRS idea of "flame maple" was washed out and not even close to bookmatched. You could see a glue seem at the neck/body joint on the PRS as well. My jackson not only looks better than guitars that cost twice as much, but it plays a hell of alot better too. I have definatly gotten my money's worth out of this guitar. Next step will be a U.S.A. made Jackson.
