I don't know a whole lot about this guitar. I bought it at a pawn shop for $250.00 and it didn't come with any info.
From my research, it appears to be a MIJ, alder body/maple neck guitar made in the 90s. The body is really light and comfortable to play. The neck is awesome!
It came with a Duncan bucker (possibly a Duncan Distortion) in the bridge and the stock (I think) Jackson bucker at the neck and single coil in the middle position. They all sound great.
It has one tone and one volume control. I will need to replace the vol. pot since it's pretty much blown. It cracks and pops like a demon and only works about 15% of the time. I have to keep the guitar turned up all the way to get it to work. This is not the fault of the guitar or Jackson, it's just an old, dirty pot and I expected as much from a pawn shop guitar. No biggie.
Floyd Rose licensed locking tremolo. It works fine and I already did a string change with no issues (other than the usual pain of changing strings on a FR guitar). It's missing the arm and mounting screw, but I've already ordered a replacement from ebay.
The guitar is a 'super strat' body style, jet black with black hardware. It's in really good shape and looks beautiful.
Rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and small, dot inlays over to the 6th string side of the neck. I like these, understated inlays more than I thought I would. I was always a sharkfin inlay guy, but these are pretty cool.
Reverse headstock and Jackson tuners. The truss rod requires a socket wrench instead of an allen wrench. This is a pain in the butt.

I was looking for a metal guitar and I found so much more.
The Duncan bucker is awesome (hey, it's a Ducnan, right?). It screams and has a nice organic crunch that is great for heavy music.
The stock Jackson pups are OK. The neck bucker is warm and full with a nice bass response, but it ain't gonna' be playin' any jazz. It's too cold for that. But who buys a Jackson for jazz anyway?
The single coil is nice and crisp with a glassy tone. Running it through a clean amp will produce a nice treble bite and a poppy, tight low end. It's almost into Stratocaster territory. You can get a country rhythm tone or a blusey sound out the middle pup and middle/neck respectivly. The bridge/middle setting will give you a nice, crisp metal tone that brings to mind, Megadeth and Exodus.
The Jackson pups hum a little but the Duncan is quiet.
The thin, light body with all the routing makes for a prety bright tone overall. It effects the sustain a little too, but I have a Gibson Les Paul for that anyway. I needed a guitar that I could run through a dirty amp to hammer out choppy riffs and faster stuff. This is great for that. There's a reason why Jackson is a dominate name in the world of metal guitar.
A lot of folks have been talking bad about the quality of Jackson pups, but I think they're decent. This is a versatile instrument.

I bought it from a pawn shop and the previous owner took really good care ot it. The action is low, a little string buzz, but it doesn't come through the amp, no worries.
The finish is good and everything is nice and tight as it should be. No gaps or lose screws anywhere. No glue marks.
Other than the missing tremolo arm/screw and the bad volume pot, there is nothing wrong with this guitar.

I think this guitar will be a good daily player with no issues. I'd depend on it while gigging, but anyone who doesn't play with a backup (especially on a Floyd Rose-equipped axe) is asking for trouble.
I like Jacksons and always have. They are solid and tough. Built to last and will offer a lifetime of great playing if maintained well.

I've been playing for years and I also have a Gibson Les Paul Standard, an Agile 335-style, a cheap acoustic, and a home made Telecaster. I play through a 30 watt ss Kustom 1x12 and a 12 watt tube Kustom 1x8 (I love small amps!). I don't play with a lot of effects, but I use a Danelectro Fabtone for metal and a Small Stone phaser pedal for space rock. I also use a vintage Cry Baby, but it's more for shaping my tone than a wah.
I use GHS strings on all my guitars. They are the best I've found. This Jackson is strung with a custom set of .010, .013, .017, .023, .032, .047. This seems to be a good metal guage set for me.
I love this guitar for a number of reasons, but the neck most of all. Anyone who has ever held a Jackson understands that they make the best necks in the business. They are fast and smooth and are perfect for playing a number of different stules.
I think that if this guitar were stolen, I'd be really pi55ed, but I'd get on with my life and buy another Jackson as a replacement.

I don't know exactly where and when my guitar was made. It doesn't matter right now anyway.. It has one-maple-piece neck with 24 jumbo frets and small side dots on rosewood fingerboard, poplar or alder body. All mechanics are black. Floyd Rose bridge is the best working tremolo i've ever seen and i/ve seen 'em all. It has H-S-H pickups, but i changed humbuckers into DiMarzio Evolutions and made my custo coil plitting system. The colour is really strnge: i's something between black, dark metallic blue and dak metallic green- cool!!!

With the stock pickups it would be 5, but with DiMarzio Evos this guitar really screams!!! I can dial every tone i want: from high-power humbuckers to strat single coils (exeptionally 2. and 4. position- you know what i mean) and some of clean cool PRS-like shemes too!!! It has a lot of sustain, that i'd expect from set-in constuction. I tune way down to C and sometimes i can get a little bit muddy- that's why i didn't give it 10.

I've bought it used in poor state. It was a hard work to set it just right (and customise it of course).

I've played many concerts with my band and this one really can take all the abuse without any lack of tunning.

It' a great professional axe!!! It has the look, tone, playability and stability. It has its own character and with Evos it will tell you every mistake you make. It's not easy to handle this little monster, but if got balls you can burn!!!

I am not completely sure where it was made or its year, But it has 24 frets on quick neck,It has a beautiful sunburst green finish,It has a three way pickup switch, one volume control and one tone control,With two jackson humbuckers a quilted top finish also with a licenced floyd rose tremolo system and locking nut the frets are jumbo frets very comfortable to play.My guitar came with a strap and strap locks however the strap locks are not the ones I would prefer they are dimarzio strap locks but they are just a screw and a couple of spacers for each hole.It also however came with a jackson molded hardshell case and two allen wrenches.

As far as the music I play it is perfect,Heavy 80's metal,However not so good for really clean tones because of dual humbuckers can't really clean it up but perfect for metal. As far as effects I am using A boss metal zone pedal with a jim dunlop gcb-95 wah wah cry baby and playing through a fender cabinet could use noise reducer but has a really warm sound I really like the guitar.

I bought this guitar used from a guy and really the only thing wrong with it is it needed new strings and had one tiny little ding down by the input jack.Other than that the finish is beautiful and guitar was in exellent shape.

I think that this guitar would definitly withstand lots of live playing.Good solid hardware and good solid finish, the strap locks on it are in the process of being replaced only because they are not the kind of strap locks that I prefer.I believe that this guitar I could without a doubt depnd on,However I would not play a gig with only one guitar for the reason if a string broke,We all know that changing strings on a floyd rose isn't a really quick process.

Bridge pickup lacked clarity in both presence and low-end.
Neck pickup produced a warmer, mellower tone.
Middle posistion lacked warmth in the higher frequencies.
Useable with tweaking. Fairly quiet electronics.
Not the greatest tone for a rock sound, I'd change the brige pickup to
favor a better response in both low end and presence.

Had to put a shim at the heel to get the best action.
Truss rod could've been slightly tighter.
First fret and nut relationship slightly out.
Filed at the low F to stop open E buzzing.
Sounds great now...
Great looking guitar. Very sexy.

This guitar, once set up properly will do fine as a gigger.
Very solid feeling for a reverse headstock type guitar.
Grain was well selected on the neck, which is very straight.
Excellent large strap buttons.
Need a backup with any "floating" type tremolo equiped guitar.
Nice finish.
