U.S.A. made Randy Rhoads offset flying V; 22 Frets; 1 volume and 2 tone controls (1 for each humbucker); Pickup Configuration: H/H; Neck: Duncan SH-2, Bridge: Duncan TB-4; Body: Poplar; Neck: Maple; FingerBoard: Ebony (Pearl Sharkfin Enlays); Tremelo: Original Floyd Rose (Locking System).
Included a hardshell case the size of California and all the necessary tools to tweak the guitar (minus Screwdrivers).

Sound : 9
The sound is absolutely great, and quite balanced despite it's 'Heavy Metal' visual tendencies. The clean tone is quite warm and clear and distortion is prettier than a $5.00 whore. I love the fact that it is one of the best Metal axes I've ever played, and that it is not limited to just that. The Duncan pickups really add a lot to this Guitar's sound.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar came perfectly set up straight from the factory, except I had a huge problem with it. It came set up for .09's and I prefer .10's. After quite a few adjustments to the spring tension and the truss rod, things were great again.
I strongly suggest that anyone who has never used a floyd rose before, and requires changes made to their guitar configuration to take it to a professional and have them show you the ropes. It is a VERY delicate system and if it is not set up properly, you'll hate this guitar (and any other with a Floyd Rose system).
All in all, it is very customizable and will work perfectly if tweaked properly.

Reliability/Durability : 10
I've gotten pretty drunk and bashed this thing into walls by accident. I always faint when this happens because it's one of those guitars that is just so pretty you don't want to see a blemish in its entirety. So, I guess I haven't hit it hard enough yet. Funny thing is, I've actually taken paint off the wall with it and it didn't harm the finish. I'm quite lucky its finish is so solid, 'cause I'm very anal when it comes to the appearance of my guitars.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had to deal with the company yet; had it for 8 months and it has been smooth sailing so far. There is a short term warranty for 1 year and I believe there is also a limited life time warranty.

Overall Rating : 9
This guitar is very solid for what it is. I couldn't expect anything more from it. I give it an overall 9. For live purposes a 10 and studio purposes an 8.
If my guitar was stolen, I would hunt the man/woman down and impale them with the long fin of the 'V'. If it were lost, I would drink lots of alcohol and cry myself to sleep for a few months. After washing enough dishes and playing enough crappy gigs I would buy another.
What I love most... is the most elegant part on the guitar (and many other Jacksons) is the Ebony fretboard. It is amazingly smooth and completely comfortable.
What I hate most... is that I freak out whenever I accidentally bump into something. This guitar is just too pretty to scuff.
For me, it's a live guitar; bottom line. It may find its way into the studio, but I can think of other guitars that have more 'signature' tones. You probably won't find much appeal for this guitar unless you're into heavy metal, but just bear in mind, looks can be decieving....

I see nobody else has posted for this Jackson...Sooo its a 1994 solid bodied 24 fret wonder USA MADE with the shark fin inlay's usually it has the 3-way switch and 3 knobs which control the humbuckers ...BUT Im left-handed sooo i guted the cavity and machined a new cover to fit only 1 knob and the switch and I am mucho happy with it now. I has the floyd rose (which is a total BITCH till you play with it for a day or two(or three!?) I got really lucky with the pickups, I got mine with bill lawrence pickups already in it(great metal pickups!) Ebony fret board (the coolest thing about this is that its always smooth and pretty(with some help from me,(lemon oil) Basic jackson tuners And the neck ...Man the neck is the coolest thing on it!..I am accostomed to gibson necks but I love the feel of my jackson neck THERES NOTHING LIKE IT .....

Sound : 10
Well.... I play pretty heavy music (percussive palm muting metal ) and the Bill Lawerence pickups are killer 'Cause they resonate every small aspect of your playing....There tops man.. The guitar is made of poplar(Never heard of it till I got it but it sounds great) so no complaint here........The sound is rich but only a little bit of variety here,.. But I have other guitars for the other tones I need...

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action is extremely low (floyd rose say's Im welcome)I bought it used and Im not a clairvoiant so I dont want to guess if it was set up perfect new or not. All the holes and cuts are perfect(Its a hand made USA Jackson...flawless ...now the only problem i have with this guitar is the finish....not the color but the saran wrap type SHIT they put on it its flaking and peeling around the edges of the humbuckers and cavity cover. (OH MAN IS IT IRRITATING)...ALSO THE HORNS ARE VERY SHARP SO'S YOU HAVE TO WATCH THEM AS WELL FOR DINGS AND WHAT-NOT....)

Reliability/Durability : 8
Had it for a while its very durable(except for the SHITTY finish on it)....yeah I would use it without a back up..

Customer Support : 8
Took a little while but there pretty good

Overall Rating : 10
Not much I love this guitar I am going to get another one with a hard tail , but if it were stolen I would hunt the person down like a dog ....But till then I would play me gibson's
