it's a 2008 jackson, made in japan. has 22 frets. includes one volume knob, 3-way pick-up selector, and two humbuckers. (neck & bridge) pickups are cheaper duncan designed. i believe it has an alder body, and a bolt-on maple neck. has a black & white polka dot finish on a rhoads style v body, unfinished neck, but polka dot headstock. has a licensed floyd rose made by jackson, and jackson tuners. (look like schallers. has a thin neck with jumbo frets on a dark rose wood fret board, and shark fin inlays. came with guitar and tools.

Sound : 9
it has a perfect feeling when playing, and as far as sound goes even with cheaper humbuckers it sound alright. it could be improved with seymour duncans though. i just plug it straight into the amp, and it can be used for heavy metal to classical more acoustic like sounds. i use it mainly for randy rhoads cover and sometimes van halen tunes. i just love it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
very low string height for faster paced song/solos. (eruption or spanish fly) i haven't had to make any adjustments as far as string height, pickup height, truss rod. the neck fits tightly into neck pocket. the floyd rose recess is a little tight but the bridge doesn't hit the body. most everything on this guitar was perfect, the only thing was a loose volume knob, which can easily be tightened.

Reliability/Durability : 10
i play this guitar on gigs all the time without a back up. the hardware seems like it would last a long time. some people say the floyd sucks but i've had no problems with tuning. i don't have to tune it but once a month! the strap buttons are on there but the guitar tends to tip over when you aren't playing.

Customer Support : No Opinion
haven't had to deal with the company and hopefully won't have to. i've the guitar for a couple of years with no problems.

Overall Rating : 10
i have been playing for about 3 years, and a use this guitar, and a evh frankenstein. (homemade EXACT replica) if it was stolen i would have to get it back. i love the polka dot finish, it's shape, the floyd rose, everything about it. i wish it had a 24 fret neck, and an original floyd rose.

So this guitar i bought in early 2007 for cca 500EU. After a Squier Strat i thought it will be like a dream playing on it. BUT... Im playing everything from rock to metal and etc. this guitar has these features:One volume knob, licenced Floyd Rose, Only 22 frets but Really high something like dunlop 6000 or so (i dont know exactly but a friend of mine has a Shecter with Extreme Jumbo frets and those arent so high like these). The neck is a bolt on but it feels really smooth (for a comparison Jacksons and Bc Richs have almost the same neck feeling :D)
As you know its a V shape guitar so if you were playing standup the weight fells on the neck and the left hand must produce unconfortable strenght to hold it tight. The worse things on this guitar are for example, the 3 way toggle switch is direct under the floyd rose bar and when you need to change the position of the pickups you must be careful to not touch the trem bar. The second thing is if you are playing sitting you need an "L" formed Jack because the input hole would be directly between your legs and taht would cause pain :D
Also the stock pickups (duncan designed) are too week. I change them to Dimarzio EVO and Super 2 and the whole thing sounds 1000X better now.

Sound : 10
This guitar sounds like hell for the price. As i mentioned the stock pickups arent too good so i suggest to replace them. I played on many different amps from JSX, JCM 2000s, many LINE6s and the guitar never disapointed.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
When i got it the factory setting was a big OK. The neck was perfectly adjusted and the pickups were also. Nothing was bad. But i think that they adjusted this guitar already in the shop where i bought it... maybe. dont know

Reliability/Durability : 1
Here is the pain!!!!
After 2 weeks when i got it the neck pickup was K.O. I sent it back to the shop and after 10 days i got it back but... The metal materials on this guitar are so week that when replaced replaced the strings and want to screw back the lockingnuts i thoght they fell apart. Also the screws inside the body (the springs for the FR are connected on them) went also the same way. The input jack and the volume knob its un adjustable... always Loose. That goes for the Trem Bar too. Bodywood is light but also easy to damage it. Even a small push with some harder thing on it and you ll see the carved hole. So i suggest dont wear any "heavy metal" pyramide wrist band if you wont damage your guitar. And BTW watch out for the horn on this guitar it can broke easily.

Customer Support : 6
Never dealt with jacskon but the shop where i bought it was good... not best but good

Overall Rating : 4
If you wanna look more "METAL" then you got it!!! But if you are a "GUITAR PLAYER" then better look for a non-exotical shaped guitar and something more reliable than jackson guitars. If you want to have a RR shaped for a good price then better look for a expensiver Jackson :D

Features : 7
22 frets, Jackson Licensed tremolo , 1 volume knob, 2 duncan designed humbuckers, black finish

Sound : 8
The guitar sounded well for a $450 dollar guitar, although the stock duncan designed pickups were rather weak.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
When i received the guitar the volume knob was extremely loose and fell off, although it was an easy fix. The spot for the output jack is in a strange place and is uncomfortable when playing sitting down, as the cord pushes into your leg. The Strap buttons should be in a different position, every time i would take my hand off of the neck it would dive. i basically felt as if i had to hold the neck up and play at the same time, This to me is one of the biggest flaws. Other then that the action was set up well at the factory.

Reliability/Durability : 7
The Tremolo on this guitar is junk. Every time after properly setting the guitar up, when i would lock the locking nut, the strings would go extremely sharp. After a few dives with the bar the guitar would fall right outta tune. Also every time i dove there would be a ''clicking'' noise on the neck somewhere. I would not rely on this tremolo to last for very long. Other then that all the other parts seem as if they will last a long time

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with them

Overall Rating : No Opinion
If you are looking to get a good jackson rhoads guitar, i would recommend saving up a little bit more and getting the RR3. In the end i ended up selling this guitar for almost half of what i paid for it almost a year earlier.

I'm not sure of the year this one is made, but it has alder body and bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fretboard.
Satin black finish
Floyd rose lisence bridge (Jackson)
22 Jumbo frets
volume, 3-way pickup selector
2 Duncan Desing humbuckers

I like that there are no much controls in guitar. The bad side is the fretboard (only 22 frets and it's not ebony). Humbuckers aren't that bad, but I changed them to EMG HZ-H4 for little more punch.

Sound : 8
It really is a metal axe and that is what you are propably looking for if you are buying a RR-model. This one is great guitar for that purpose.

It depends what pedals you use, but I think that this guitar has nice distorted sound. And the pickups give nice harmonics. It's an metal spear after all :D The neck pickup is little farty but I never use it.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 7
I bought this one used. The fretboard was arrow straight. Pickups were adjusted perfectly.

The flaw was that bridge didn't keep guitar in tune. But with little fixing it started to work well.

Reliability/Durability : 6
I think that RX10D is another cheap guitar made of cheap parts that will not last forever. I had my volume poti broken but it was easy to fix.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 8
This is my number one guitar. I would absolutely buy anotheer if it was stolen. I give an 8 for some flaws.

I have modified my own. Now it has Black/white finish, EMG HZ-H4 bridge pickup, EMG PA2, 24 fret ebony fretboard and I changed the jack place to the upper wing. Now I would give it 11. It's the best spear I've played.

22 fret rosewood neck
1 volume knob
licensed floyd rose
3 way switch
gave it an 8 for no tone knob but i never use it anyway

Sound : 5
well buying this i assume you play metal ...
im using peavey xxl with a crate cab with celestion in it
i dont like the sound at all .. changing pu should help with that but then paying 200$ to change pickup on a low end guitar you should save and buy something better thew sound lack of brightness... not razor sharp at all

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
set up was quite nice when i got it tha action was pretty perfectthe only thing is the shitty electronic thay put in jackson the volume knob sometime cut and the selector is noisy... and i had the same problem with my slsmg and had to change pots

Reliability/Durability : 9
well like all jackson i used its feels pretty solid so thats about it.i wouldnt use without backup as i never do but this as to do with strings so ..

Customer Support : 5
duuno never dealt with them

Overall Rating : 5
well ive benn playing for 5 years and this is my 3rd guitar i also own a slsmg which sound killer with my rig and this ojne just doesnt stand i bought it in a hurry and that was a big mistake. if it were stolen id be happy ,take the insurance money and get a new rr24 .the only things nice about this one is the loook.i had a washburn chicago series that i pay about half the price and it sounded even if not better. ill never again buy a 22 fret guitar and thje weight is not balance if you let it go the headdstock go down which is annoying cuz you have to hold it all the time .sound weak.oh one nice thing i found is that the harmonics came out pretty well , bewtter than my slsmg

I got the solid black body, Floyd Rose floating bridge. It's got the three way selector switch to change between the Duncan Designed pick-ups. Has one volume control on the guitar, to tone adjustment control. Although I like a multitude of buttons, switches and gadgets, I fell in love with the simplicity of this guitar. Bought it dirt cheap at a pawn shop and spent about two weeks learning how to adjust the bridge. No problems after that.

Sound : No Opinion
Even with the DD humbuckers, it sounds better than 90% of the the high end guitars. I was jamming with a lead guitarist one night who played it for a set. He really hated to back to his high dollar guitar even though he was critical of the bridge and tremelo. With the right amp and processor, this guitar will make you proud. I play mostly southern rock and blues, it stays up with the more traditional semi-hollow body type guitars. It just doesn't look bluesy.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar was a mess when I bought it, but after the new strings and adjustments to the bridge, I knew I had me main guitar. The guitar was off balanced when strapped on, I moved the front strap knob to the neck plate (fit perfectly) and that solved that problem. It is so easy to chord and play. It bends a note better than most, that may be due to the floating bridge. Finish is great. There is no pick-guard but it still looks like new. I would actually like to see a little wear on it instead of looking like I got a brand new guitar everytime I take it out of the case.

Reliability/Durability : 9
The guitar withstands live playing like a champ. The only thing I don't like is that during a live gig, on a rare occasion that a string breaks, it will take you a long time to re-string. Better have a back up guitar (should have one anyway).

Customer Support : No Opinion
Bought it used.

I have been playing 40 years and have owned 20 or so guitars. All I want is Jackson guitars now. I love the playablity,

Year made: 2001
Frets: 22 Jumbo
Controls: 1 volume, 3-way toggle
Pickup config: H/H
Pickups: Duncan Designed 103 passive pickups
Body wood: Alder
Neck wood: Maple
Finish: Black
Bridge: JT580 Deluxe Tremelo
Tuners: Die-Cast
Scale: 25.5

Sound : 8
The Duncan Designed 103 pick-ups arent really to my likings....they arent heavy enough for me....but they are good pick ups even though they dont fit my style. I changed the pick-ups with a pair of EMG 81 and it gives a real nice sound through my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The action was quite nice...it didn't have any flaws when i got it from the distributer and it doesnt really have any flaws...there is some neck dive but not that bad

Reliability/Durability : 10
I didnt have to install strap locks on this guitar unlike my Ibanez because the strap buttons are quite big and strong so my strap will hold during gigs...on my Ibanez my whole strap button and nut ripped out of my guitar..It is my main stage guitar, and i dont really have a back-up because my other guitar I use in the songs with a different tuning

Customer Support : 10
Since the store(Kees Dee) where I bought it from didn't have it in stock, they ordered one from the distributer and it arrived a week later so everything went perfect. The people were very friendly and helpful

Overall Rating : No Opinion
If it was stolen i would buy a new one...but if it was stolen and i had enough money then i would buy an ESP Alexi Laiho Signature Serie...

OK. YOUR BUYING THIS GUITAR FOR ITS RADICAL BUT ELEGANT STYLE. OTHER GUITAR BRANDS (BC RICH, IBANEZ ) TRY TO BE AGGRESIVE BUT THEY LOOK VULGAR. IBANEZ ARE TOO LARGE FOR MY LIKING. SO PHYSICALLY THE JACKSONS WIN. HOWEVER IF YOU PLAY THE JACKSON RX10D YOU WILL BE SURPRISED THAT IT PLAYS VERY FAST. SO AGAIN THE JACKSONS WIN. OF COURSE BUYING A GUITAR IS A VERY PERSONAL THING NOT EVERYONE LIKES JACKSON. SOME PREFER FENDER. IF I HAD A MATE AND HE WAS NEW TO GUITARS I WOULD 100% TELL HIM TO BUY JACKSON. THE RX10D IS SO AGGRESSIVE BUT REMAINS ELEGANT. AWESOME

Sound : 5
THE STANDARDDUNCAN PICKUPS SUCK. VERY AVERAGE. SO I PUT EMG 81 IN. THIS GUITAR NOW ROCKS, BIG TIME. I HAVE TO GIVE THIS GUITAR A LOW SOUND RATING BECAUSE OF THE DUD PICKUPS THAT COME WITH THE GUITAR. MY ADVICE PUT IN EMG 81 AND ROCK. SO I WILL GIVE THE RX10D AN AVERAGE SCORE ON SOUND BECAUSE OF THE POOR STANDARD PICKUPS. HOWEVER WHEN YOU PUT EMG 81 IN IT CAN BEAT ANY GUITAR IN THE WORLD.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
VERY FAST NECK. REMEMBER THIS IS NOT A TOP OF THE RANGE MODEL. BUT YOU GET A VERY, VERY RESECTABLE GUITAR. I THINK THIS GUITAR IS SO HOT YOU WILL NEED OVEN GLOVES TO PLAY IT. THIS GUITAR IS BUILT LIKE A TANK. VERY WELL BUILT. I PLAYED A LTD KIRK HAMMETT MODEL. IT COST TWICE THE JACKSON BUT I PREFERED THE JACKSON FOR PLAYABILITY. OK THE LTD HAD A BETTER SOUND, BUT AFTER INSTALING THE EMG 81 THE JACKSON BLITZKREIGED EVERY OTHER GUITAR I HAVE PLAYED.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
WHEN YOU BUY JACKSON YOU ARE BUYING THIS BEST. EVEN A JAPENESE BUILT NOT SO EXPENSIVE MODEL LIKE RX10D. ITS A TANK.

Customer Support : No Opinion
NEVER NEEDED IT

Overall Rating : 10
THIS GUITAR HAS THE LOOKS. IT HAS THE VERY FAST NECK AND COMFORTABLE PLAYABILITY. THE STANDARD PICKUPS ARE AVERAGE. YOU NEED AND MUST INSTALL EMG 81 ACTIVE PICKUPS. ONCE YOU HAVE DONE THAT YOU HAVE A WORLD CLASS GUITAR FOR POCKET MONEY. I WILL DEFINATELY BUY ANOTHER ONE IF I LOST MY RX10D
