This guitar is my first guitar, it don't have alot of features, but from what little i know, i can say some things about it. first off is that the neack and headstock are just plywood, but it sorta looks solid. the bridge pins scare me though, i often feel they are pridner gonna come flyin out of the bridge, when I tighten a string, they do their little thing.
I give it a six, cuz i don't like the polywood, or the pins, but it's only my first guitar, so mebe I'm wrong. lol.

The sound is good, not that i know what a "good" sounding guitar should saound like, but it does sound quite nice, now that I finaly got it tuned after my first lesson. I've only took one lesson to date, but whatever. I give it a six, cuz my teacher's wifes gutiar is a little black 3/4 sized one that sounds amazing, and it isn't as good as that one. Uh, not that I know what an amazing one should sound like.

I think this guitar is not the greatestly put togethered guitar on the market. let's face it, she aint no fender, but it's held together since september. the biuldage on the inside is kinda choppy, and there is a little bit of white flakiness on the thingy at the bottom of the neck, which i hope does not mean the neck is coming loose ;) I give it a four cuz it was definetly not the best biult guitar out there, but hey, comin from me, that's actually not toooooo bad. oh, btw, i really like the dark blue finish, and it's glossiness, too.

well, hmmmmmmmm. I would honestly have to say this guitar, uh, um I don't actually know if it would stand up to live playing, and conmstant tuning, and stuff. Like I said, the neck's little flakiness, and whiteness, in the paint kinda makes me suspicious. so, uh yeah, ill give it a four point five, so yeah.

well, I dunno, i bought it from the music store in town (a small town) and they have been giving me deals on cases, straps, picks, acc, and CDs. I kinda ended up paying like 250 cdn for it, but i found oput you can get it for 50 usd, so like 60 or 70 cdn. Oh well, Golden BC really rips you off, nomatter which store. so, ill have to pay Off the wall entertainment my respect, for giving me all the deals on stuff, but take back the good rating for the B.S. rip off of a price!!!, so I was gonna say six, but now it's gonna be something like four, OR LESS!!!!

I have only bin playing since september, (it's like, uh, january now), and have only had one lesson sop far, but I think I like my guitar from what I know of it. If it got lost or stolen, i dunno if I would go back to my home town to buy it, i'd end up goin to calgary to buy it. I bought a strap, when I was still a super noob, but there aint no strap peg on the other end of the guitar, so I had to TIE the starp to the neck, above the nut. I hardly use my strap anyways. DAGNABIT!!!!, I ended up spending a whole cotton pickin bunch of gol darn money on the stupid thing, and then found out i got ripped off. but i love my guitar, and i treat it like my little baby girl, shes a gooder, that's fer sher.

This is a Jay JR. JRD dreadnaught acoustic guitar. The top is basswood, suppsodly. It's plywood I think, but looks like it's solid.
It's your basic acoustic guitar, nothing fancy.

I paid 66 U.S. for this on Ebay and got my money's worth in the sound department (I've found out after that you can buy this guitar for 50 U.S. at a dealer's. That's life.)
For a guitar this cheap, I am VERY pleased with the sound. Every guitar maker produces some stinkers and some winners. This one is a winner. Though not as good as an Arts and Lutherie or Seagull or Norman, it sounds better than most Samicks and Yamahas I've played.
It has a good bass end when you have medium low tension strings with a thin nylon pick. That's my ideal sound right there.

For a guitar this cheap, the action is surprisingly good. Some of the internal joints are rough. That's my only problem here. And I hate the glossy finish, but that's no different than any other guitar with a glossy finish. I much prefer the satin finish on an Arts and Lutherie, but I didn't have the money kicking around.

I baby this guitar, but yes, I would rely on it gigging without a backup, except for the broken-string factor. I dunno how good the finish on the sides and back is. I haven't had a problem with it yet, and I've had it for 10 months.

I called their toll free number and got right in touch with the people I wanted. No Problems. Nuff said.

I haven't been playing guitar all that long, but I've been playing it intensively for months. FOR ITS PRICE, I would put my guitar ahead of anything I've played. IN ITS PRICE RANGE. It can't compete with a solid top guitar, but it sure is enjoyable, and sounds really great.
The 9 rating is for the price-sound ratio.
