Features : 6
Made in China in 1998. This guitar is a 22 fret, 25.5" scale solidbody with two humbuckers. There is a 3 way switch, strat style, that works similar to a Les Paul's switching system. There is one volume and one tone control that works for each pickup. No name chinese pickups with passive electronics.
The body is an unknown wood but is INCREDIBLY light - the same weight as my Parker Fly Deluxe. I took the pickguard off and found routes that exposed the wood - it appears to be a sort of alderish color. The shape is vaguely PRS / LP Special - ish, with the top horn slightly elongated.
The neck is maple, with a spliced-in piece of maple for the angled headstock, similar to old Charvels. There are 22 frets on a rosewood fretboard of medium/large profile. The neck is relatively wide and thin, sort of like an old Charvel, with a satin finish that appears to be oiled.
Bridge is a hardtail Strat-style. Tuners are no name deals that hold pretty well.
The guitar is finished in a silver sparkle with a matching headstock. The pickguard is mother of toilet seat, and the hardware is chrome. The two buckers are zebra coils of black and white.
There was NOTHING included with this guitar - no wrenches, gig bag or strap.

Sound : 5
It sounds like a generic humbucker equipped guitar, which is not such a bad thing for super high gain stuff. The only problem is that the pickups are microphonic when the gain is cranked.
I've plugged it into my ADA MP-1, Marshall JCM2000, Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and Pro Jr. It sounds better through the MP-1 and the JCM2000 because like I said, high gain settings are more forgiving to generic pickups.
I can get some decent punk / ska sounds. It doesn't get defined enough for metal, but I'd use it for slide. The light body gives the sound a bit of airiness and resonance.
There are no deadspots on this guitar, which is a surprise to me at the price I bought it at.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 4
There were numerous flaws in the finish, such as sand through. Most flaws are covered up by the silver sparkles, which is probably why they chose this color.
The action was decent, but I lowered it. Like most 4 bolts, if you give the neck a yank, it'll shift. Fretwork is decent.
The volume knob shifts from the actual pot, and the 3 position switch is really loose.
In all, fairly crappy quality, but not in a way that hinders playability.

Reliability/Durability : 4
It seems to be holding up pretty well. I've played it at practice with the band and it holds it's own. To gig with it, I'd probably change the tuners and the electronics first. Structurally, though, it seems pretty sound.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have no clue.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing for over 17 years, and I own or have owned a LOT of guitars. Some of my guitars currently are in the upper levels of quality - Parker, Music Man EVH, PRS (now sold), San Dimas Charvel and San Dimas Jackson. I own a bunch of medium grade stuff like Fender SRV, Gibson Les Paul Custom, Ibanezes, and Gibson Chet Atkins. And I have owned the crappiest guitars ever built, like the Teisco.
I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with this guitar. I love the fact that it is as light as my Parker Fly Deluxe. The pickups need replacing, as do the electronics, but for $179, I'd rate this as a pretty good deal. I bought it just to screw around and because I like to hoard gear (VBG).
