dont know the exact year but it must be between 02-04.
MIJ(taiwan)22-fret,quilted maple laminate top tobaccoburst, the basic Les Paul D.C. set up with a set maple neck in a basswood body.
I like it.
Sound
:9
My style is rock classic, hard, bluesy, and then theres The Blues.
sometimes funk (but not w/this axe). Right now I have a crate 50W.and a crate 15W practice. no effects just O-drive and plenty of reverb. OH ITS LOUD ALRIGHT the bridge p/up screams and the neck has a bright jazzy tone and boy add O-Drive and you got a Shred. I just got it yesterday so im still experimenting with the sounds and tones but I can see why people love Les Pauls It has such a beefy full sound not brittle like strats (and yes I own and love mine).
again I like it.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:8
When I got it I immediately tuned it up (with little effort) and plugged it in...forgot to take the p/u plastic off..oops. aside from a little fret buzz everything was very good. inotation was right the action was a little high but I could play comfortably. the bridge p/up was a little too high ,hey...I got a screwdriver..prob. solved.
The guitar I purchased was a blemish 2nd ,the finish had a little chip on the back . so what, wait till you see it in 3 years...a chip dosent affect the sound... didnt like the cheezy vol and tone knobs so I replaced with some speed knobs (like Gibsons) I had lying around.

I'm gonna see how this one stands up. got a Jam session in a week and gonna take it and see (of course with a backup) the bridge seems fine, tune-o-matic. however I want to change the itsy bitsy tuners to some kind of classic Gibson style. who cares if the finish wears off ..if it sound OK. theres always black laquer paint and guitar polish. the srap buttons are solid but my strap keeps slipping off so Ill need BIGGER ones. seems dependable well see.
NO dont ever gig w/out a backup (not even If with a Gibson).

been playing 5-yrs . I own a schecter 38special, 2-Ibanez d.c.
1-80's model and 1-00' model, and a MIM Fender Strat customized.
I did my homework on this one, checked the ratings on this site,
Compared prices on J-tursers site to eBay and even bought it from the online store that was recommended by so many . I didnt get lucky I knew what I was doing. and I'd do it again if some skell swiped my axe. The only guitar I could compare this to is an old lawsuit era Ibanez L.P. d.c style (boy would that be nice). J-Turser is a good up and coming company if you want a good guitar w/out the hype price
but like everything you need to be smart and look 4 the best deal and service and dont jump at the first deal you see wait for the right one 4 u.

I play all kinds of music ( rock, hardcore, metal, blues, etc.) and this guitar has tones to match everything I need. I bought it for a backup for my Joe Satriani, and didn't expect too much at all. The sound of this thing is incredibly full, but also has great presence to it. I absolutely love the sound of this guitar. If you want something that sounds like a real les paul, buy this guitar!!!!!!!!!!!
Action, Fit, & Finish

The pickups were set very well when I got it at first. Didn't need to change much at all. I am very pleased with the durability of the guitar, but it feels weighted really funny to me. It seems like the neck and head are three times heavier than the rest, which gives it an awkward feel. You can tell that the neck was made cheaply, but it's still a very playable guitar. And plus, the awkward feel is worth the great sound this little thing puts out.

I haven't gigged with this yet, but I plan to use it for half of a show next week. I think this will withstand anything my Satriani will. With a good strap, I may not even need to put strap locks on it, because the buttons are so wide. This will be a great backup guitar. And with the sound, it might even be my main guitar for some shows.

Other than the cheaply made neck, and the awkward weighting, this guitar is absolutely everything you could need. I honestly don't think that you could get better for the price. THE SOUND IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2004 Model Jt-200-M-BK in Satan Gothic Black. Made in China of all places. Carved maple top Les Paul knockoff with 22 frets, 2 volume and two tone pots and 3 way switch like a standard Les Paul. Two open face humbucker pickups of unknown origin, Original pickups of whatever they use. Not sure what kind of wood is under the Maple top. Good tuners, probably Gotohs is my guess. Nice thin and straight neck and smooth frets with the action set real low just how I like my guitars.
Sound
:8
I play blues based rock stuff and this guitar surprised me a bit. I expected a crappy sound and bad workmanship, but as soon as I packed it up, without straining my back as my REAL Les Paul does, I could tell it was of descent quality. I sighted the neck and found it to be straight and well finished. The strings are a little light, nines I think and will be changed to Tens as soon as new ones are needed. But it rocks out. I tryed it on my Crate TD-50 C amp as well as My Marshall 50 watt and my Tube Works 30 watt amps. It sounds good on them all but seems to prefer the Marshall and a distortion pedal with some compression. Sounds tinny on the Crate amp. But on the Marshall it sounds great. Nice and bright on the treble pickup and kinda dark and full bottom with the neck pickup tone control rolled down a few degrees. Would probably be better with some EMG or Seymour Duncans but pretty good as is. All in all I am impressed with the sound. No humm or buzz at all. Very good.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The factory techs must be players too. They did a great job setting up this guitar. The action is low and fast and smooth just the way I like it. The only mod needed was a bit of tuning as the new strings stretched under my incessant bending. The pickups are set good enough to play off the rack but I will likely adjust them a bit as there is quite a bit of volume difference between the treble and neck pickups as I switck back and forth.Nothing serious here. The finish looks great unless you look critically. Ther are a few flaws in the finish but they are not REALLY bad. Most people would'nt notice and for the price, I can live with them.

I have not played out with it yet but I am confident it is up for the task. It is light as can be, must be the wood, Not sure what it is, but I am sure it ain't mahogany, but it feels solid enough. Sure is easy on the neck and shoulders. I really like that a lot. The neck joint is nice and much thinner than my other guitars are so you can actually PLAY notes past the fifteenth fret. I like that. It always seemed a waste of good neck, frets and string length not being able to play in the upper register on A Les Paul if you are not in possession of Frankenstein hands that can reach around those huge neck joints. This one is actually playable. What a novel idea. The hardware seems as good as what is on my Strat or my Epi LP. Finish is good except as already noted above. The strap buttons are okay but I will DEFINATELY put a Straplock system on it before I play out with it because the neck position button is prone to losing my strap if I go bonkers on the guitar. It seems kind of high up on the body so it wants to pull away from the strap. But they seem solidly planted in the wood. I feel certain the strap button would stay in the wood after I dropped it on the floor because of the poor positioning of the button. I ALWAYS carry a backup with me because even the best of guitars will crap out once in a blue moon and it is ALWAYS during a gig. Strings break, etc. But i am sure this guitar will do fine in the field.

Playing twenty plus years. Own a Tube Works 30 watt amp, A Marshall 50 watt amp, a Crate 50 watt amp, MXR phase 90, Boss CS-2 , cry baby wah, dunlop volume pedal , Boss G3 multi effects, and a bunch of other stuff. I have an EPI LP Studio, a Fender Mexi Strat, a EPI LP JR , a Squire strat, a PRS, and a couple of acoustics. My fave acoustic is my Crafter. I would buy one of these in a minute. They seem really good for the price, light and smooth playing and cheap. The low action and light weight are really nice on this guitar. The company ought to put larger guage strings on it, but maybe they are afraid the neck would warp. Who knows? All in all, I like tis guitar. If it is lost or stolen, I will not be heart broken but it has good sound and good feel and has a lot of music in it.

This is the first guitar I ever owned. Its a year 2000. It has alot of nice features. I love the light weight body and I have never played a guitar under $500 with a neck that compares to this one. You can read some other features described all over the place.

I play punk-influenced music, some would call it indie rock. For me, the treblie pickup is perfect. I play with the tone knob on about 8 and it sounds as full as you can get for this price.... alot better than the standard strats if you ask me. I kind of think the rhythm pickup is a little weak, but instead I turn its volume to 0 and use the pickup selector as a cut off switch. I reccommend it to anyone who plays in an environment that feeds back.
Action, Fit, & Finish
:8
It plays incredibly. I love it. However, I do have a few complaints. When I first got it, the pickups needed to be reset into the body. Also, anywhere past the 12th fret, the fret buzz like crazy. I need to get that fixed. The action on it is awesome. The bridge is tarnishing and has slowly worn in (enough so that my A string breaks every 2 weeks. To fix this, I just put a small piece of paper under it to take care of it.) Yeah....

Very reliable. The back of the body is very undurable... yet the front is beyond durable. Everything else is perfect.

This guitar will be 3 years old in 2 days or so. I love it. Sure, the frets need adjusting, but who cares? Nothing plays quite like this guitar. Its my primary guitar for so many reasons. I plan to play it for the rest of my life, or at least until I can't any longer. I would reccommend it to anyone, especially a beginner who is looking for something who they can play for hours and still want to play more.

2003 Model, Les Paul Copy. Double cutaway style, 2 humbucking pickups. Pickup selecter switch, 3 positions, 2 volume 2 tone controls. Transparent amber finish, is absolutely beautiful, 100% better than in the pictures. Did come with a hex key for truss rod adjustment, and a free cord which was a nice bonus. 9/10, it's a Les Paul, what else do you expect? Much lighter than the standard LP copies.
Sound

I'm much more impressed with the tone from this instrument than from my 98 Epi les paul...and this cost 1/4 as much. It can range from a full, mellow sound to a bright tone...I may throw some 57 classics into her, just to see what it does.
Action, Fit, & Finish

Factory set up, I have no complaints. Action was perfect for me, but I like it a little higher than most, I think. The bridge pick up needed to be lowered a little, and the neck raised, but again, those are personal preferences. There were no flaws with the binding, the fretboard, the nut, or the saddle...the guitar was as close to perfect as you can get.

Everything seems very sturdy, the finish seems thick, strap buttons solid, I don't gig yet, but the general consensus is DO NOT EVER EVER Gig without a backup.

I've been playing for 5 years now, I will buy another of these very soon, regardless of whether it is stolen or not. I love everything about this guitar, although due to the style, it's a little hard to sit and play. The finish again, is just beautiful...a rich Amber flame top. I'd love to get one in red.

Standard Les Paul set up, you know the details...I think it's a 2000 model or so, double cutaway, (makes it a little different from everybody else's les paul copy; I like it!) flamed maple top, transparent red color. gorgeous. gave it a ten because...well, it's exactly what I expected.

This guitar has absolutely gorgeous tone. Honestly, I've always been a little frustrated with les pauls because I can never get any kind of a crisp, clean tone out of without running them through some kind of effects processor. They have a real rich, full, deep sound that I love, but for definition and attack...they're usually really lacking. This guitar manages to maintain excellent tone definition, and plugging it straight into my amp I can get a crystal-clear sound while still maintaining that warm les-paul sound. Two thumbs WAAAY up.
Action, Fit, & Finish

I bought the guitar used, so I honestly can't tell you anything about factory set up. However, the guitar shop had the action set up pretty well. There is some fret buzz when you play just about anywhere past the 9th fret; I'm going to sand down the frets today. There are absolutely NO finish flaws; this guitar is immaculate.

This guitar seems to be built very sturdily. I would definitely play it live, without a backup. I know, I know; that's supposed to be a cardinal sin. I've played too many live gigs to count, and never play with a backup. Only once did that backfire on me, and actually, it wasn't me it backfired on; it was the other guitar player in the band. We were playing a Battle of the Bands gig, and when his guitar crapped out some random guy in the audience sticks a guitar up in the air and says "hey, you can play mine"! Problem solved. Great strap buttons, solid finish, etc. etc.

I've been playing about seven to years, and I've owned too many guitars to name. An american tele, a sweet thinbody ibanez with too many mods to name, fender acoustic, alvarez acoustic, some harmony piece of...well, you know, etc etc. If this guitar were stolen or lost, I would definitely buy another. For the price, it's simply incomparable to anything else. This guitar beats the you-know-what out of epiphone les paul copies, and for that matter, out of any other les paul copy I've ever played. It's lighter than a gibby, which I really appreciate, but doesn't seem to sacrifice any tone or playability. It's got everything I need, and no extras. Great sounding pickups, great sounding guitar, good all around. I'm probably going to pick up one of Jay Turser's tele copies next; for $100 used, you simply can't beat that.

This guitar is definately worth the $240 bucks i payed for it. 2000 model double cutaway les paul copy, Mahogany body, beautiful flamed maple top, translucent red finish with neck and body binding. Not as heavy as one would expect for a guitar this thick, because it has parts of the mahogany body carved out underneath the carved maple top. Gold hardware, 2 humbuckers, 2 vol, 2 tone, 3 way switch. 22 fret set neck, thinner than on my epiphone SG, plays very well, very comfortable. Suprizingly nice tuners.

The stock pickups on this guitar are very trebley, which i have always gone for in gutiars, but in the bridge position it is kinda harsh with the tone all the way up with my amp overdriven. Sounds awesome with the tone on about 7. I have never had a guitar where i could find any use for the neck posotion, but these pickups have enough high midrange for me to get a nice sound out of em. Really nice clean sound, which i am not used to with humbuckers. Awesome crunchy distortion. Definately good for punk and ska.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The guitar was nearly in tune, intonation was surprizingly on target, and the action was low. I was expecting to have to set it up as soon as i got it. The finish looks great, really nice color. the frets are perfect, definately better than higher end epiphones that i've played. controls were all tight and nice, even though when i opened up the back of the guitar the pots were the cheap tiny kinda, i guess i will replace them when i get more money. The wiring is clean and well done, the electronics don't buz at all. The only problems i found with the guitar were the ocasional bleed over of the red stain onto the body binding, not really a big deal, and the plastic cover over the control cavity was crappily cut, and was way too big for the space. I had to pry it off using a butter knife then file it down to fit better. Overall, definately great work for a guitar in this price range.I would give the guitar an 8, but I was so impressed by the quality of the fretwork and it gets extra points.

I got the guitar recently and i havent gotten the chance to gig with it. I replaced the strap buttons with big ones that came off of an old charvel 5 minuites after i received it in the mail. The finish on this guitar seems to be absoloutely impossible to scratch or ding, but we will see, my guitars seem to love to jump off of beds and out of stands. The hardware seems to be high quality, but i am sure the gold will rum off soon. The neck joint seems more solid than that of any other guitars that i have played. I would definately play out with this guitar, but as always, i would bring a spare incase i broke a string.

I have been playing guitar for 7 years, and this is definately the nicest guitar i have ever owned. I have a japanese bc rich eagle bass, a charvel charvette, and an epiphone G-310 (SG copy) I wish the guitar had chrome hardware instead of gold, although the giold definately looks killer, and i wish it had had a pickguard like in most of the pictures I have seen of it. I know that i will soon be in love with this guitar. It is definately 10X better than the epiphone les paul standards or G-400s that my friends play (and payed over 2X more money for.) Great value all the way, i would recomend jay turser guitars to anyone looking for something dependable and great sounding and plaing for little cash. I would always recomend these over anything Epiphone is putting out.
