Same as mentioned in other reviews. I got the cherry sunburst w/ trapezoid fret markers. They are made of plastic and look good from a distance. Mine is a blem so it has some finish mistakes but you have to really look for them. The top does not have the flame like the deluxe model but I can live without it.

Pickups sound very good for a guitar in this range. I have owned a few different LP type guitars and these actually sound the best out of all of them. Clean tone. With gain, the bridge rocks. The neck is warm and clear w/o being muddy. The tone knobs work very well.

The shop I bought it from on Ebay must have set it up prior because it plays great. The intonation and action is spot on which is unusual for a Chinese guitar. Frets are smooth as well. I adjusted the pickups to my taste and it's ready to rock. Seems a little lighter than your typical LP.

Fells pretty durable. Hardware is inexpensive but works fine so I'll keep them.

I've been playing for a few decades. I have had many different guitars and a few of them were LPs. I've had an SX, Agile, Epi, and a 70's Ibanez and Aria. I sold them all due to the weight being too much for my neck and back. This one feels just right and sounds great for my taste. This is my 2nd Turser guitar (other is a Tele) and so far I am impressed with the quality and value. I enjoy budget priced guitars and this is one of the better ones I've owned.

My JT-220 was made in China and is a 2009 model. It has 23 thin frets with a rosewood fingerboard. The body is a standard cutaway LP type with a sunburst solid top and wood grain back. It is in a beautiful vintage sunburst finish (great finish). It has a standard Tune-O-Matic bridge. It is a good Les Paul copy with die-cast tuners, two closed humbucker pickups, two volume and two tone control. It has a cream pick guard with matching color on the three-way selector switch.
I did not get any accessories. I purchased online and the investment was less than $200 with shipping.

I play classic rock, rock-a-billy and blues. It came pretty well setup but I lowered the strings a little. I use a Line 6 Spider II amp that has 75 watts and this guitar smokes. It has great sustain and has a very rich sound. The guitar rocks out and I am very happy with it.
With the Line 6 this guitar sounds awesome and I can model almost any sound I want.

Out of the box, the setup was real good. I lowered the strings but the action was great, the neck was arrow straight and the pickups smoke. For me, I probably won't make any changes except I might eventually put in an open Seymour Duncan pickup at the bridge.
There are no flaws with this guitar.

I have played the guitar for many hours with no need for tuning or adjustment. The hardware is real good for the price and I don't think I will change anything there. Everything is solid and this LP copy will bring me joy for years. I will use this in gigs along with an Epiphone Les Paul and a Washburn Acoustic/Electric.

I have not needed any support but I have gotten an inquiry from the music store I bought from asking if I was happy. I am confident in their support as well as what I have read about Jay Turser.

I have been banging on the guitar for over 30 years and I love this guitar. I am not going to lie and say this is just as good as a Gibson Les Paul but it IS as good as the Ebony Epiphone Les Paul Standard I have. One of my local music shops has a 92 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Cherry Sunburst that I have played and it rocks. But they are also asking $2,000 for it. If you are a good to great player and have $2,000, you can't go wrong with Gibson. However, for $200 this Jay Turser JT-220 Les Paul copy will serve you well. It is great and affordabe for beginners and will give them a great sounding guitar to develop with. I would buy another JT-220 in a heartbeat.

Bought this Jay Turser JT-220 in Vintage Sunburst. I paid $190 including shipping. It is a 2009 Model Les Paul Copy. It was made in China. My local guitar shop has a 1968 Gibson Les Paul - Vintage Sunburst in a glass case and it has always been my dream guitar but the asking price is $6,500 and I am not worth it.
My Jay Turser is a beautiful Vintage Sunburst, maples with rosewood fingerboard. It has block pearl inlays and 2 humbuckers.

For the price, the sound is awesome and has great sustain. I use a Line 6 Spider II 212 and this guitar rocks. Did some adjustments out of the box and played some AC/DC and rattled the house.
I have an Epi Les Paul Goldtop and I just sold an Epi Les Paul Ebony Standard and the JT-220 is every bit as good as the Epi.
If I could afford it and was a better player, I would want a real Gibson Les Paul. That being said, this guitar rocks and is a great guitar for anyone that doesn't have a lot of dough.
Out of the box the guitar plays well and with a little tweeking I set it up to my liking. I won't do it but if someone were to put some better pickups in, this guitar would be awesome.
I can't tell you how surprised I was by the sustain.

The guitar was setup pretty good out of the box but I lowered the action a little. Neck was perfect and straight. Came with D'Adarrio strings and they were fine for my taste.
The pickups were right on and sounded great and the electronics were solid. It has die-cast machines that I like better than the ones on my Epiphone LP Goldtop.
The guitar is solid with a beautiful finish and binding. You can get it in Cherry Sunburst, Ebony and Vintage Sunburst. I always loved Vintage and she is beautiful.

I think this guitar will stand up to live playing. For someone starting out, this guitar would be awesome for a bit until they could afford a real Gibson or Fender.
The hardware is really good for the price of the guitar and the die-cast tuners will last a while. The strap buttons seem solid and I i believe the guitar can be depended on.
This will be my main guitar for jamming and playing out.

I would buy this guitar again in a heartbeat. Jay Turser won Guitar Player Magazine's Readers Choice award a couple of years ago and that is how I noticed them. I had been wanting to buy one but hadn't needed to until now. I had a friend who wanted to buy my ebony Epi so I sold it and bought this and still had over $200 bucks left over and this is a better guitar and looks better.

Standard LP copy, Alder body, 22 frets, 2 volume, 2 tone. I bought the Cherry burst. Not a perfect finish on the neck binding, but overall a beautiful guitar for the money. It came with truss rod wrench and the obligatory cord.

I play metal, rock and blues. This guitar has a nice classic rock sound to it. Pickups are pretty clean, but for the price, I was pleasantly surprised. Electronics and pu selector swith are nice and smooth, no noise at all.
I play this through a Marshall, very classic Rock tone. The neck pickup is nice and mellow and the bridge pickup is pretty bright.
Easy player, great neck. My dislikes would the cheesy pickguard Les Paul's have. The Pickups will probably be replaced for something a bit more crunchy. The tuners may go as well, they work ok but are not real tight.

Surprisingly, the guitar was pretty close on the setup. I let it sit out all night so the wood could settle in, a little fine tuning on the bridge and a quarter turn of relief on the truss rod, and it was perfect.
Intonation was spot on.
I readjusted the pickup height of course. There were very fine scratches in the finish, I imagine from shipping. I worked those out with wood polish. No other flaws other than the binding on the neck isn't very smooth, but you really have to look for it.

I think this guitar is gig worthy with better pickups. The hardware is fine, no issues there. Strap buttons are nice and solid.
Nice glossy finish, It would last. I would never gig without a backup.
I don't see this nice axe going anywhere soon.

I have been playing over 30 years, this is my fifth guitar with another on the way. I have a Marshall combo with a 2-12 Marshall cab underneath, pedalboard, practice amp, blah blah.
The JT exceeded my expectations quite honestly. I mod everything I own, but all I expect to do with this is change out the pickups, and possibly the tuners.
All these years of playing and this is my first set neck guitar. I have never owned A Les Paul style, So this is a first. So far I'm digging it.
I chose this for the bang for the buck. I also wanted a set neck. I did the usual comparisons, SX, Agile, S-101, Etc. Jay Turser has a good reputation, so I thought I would take the plunge.
I something happened to it, I would replace it. I'm looking forward to putting some new pup's in this baby and Rockin' on!

I am not really sure what type of wood these Jay Tursers are made from I am a Strat man. But by the weight of this guitar it feels like a quality wood was used in the production of the JT 220. It has a quality feel not to heavy and not to light, just about right for someone who is used to playing a Strat. I am very pleased with the quality of the wood if I had to guess I would say it is Alder as I have played a veriety of guitars some Koa, Maple and Ash.
It is a single cutaway, Sunburst finish with standard production tuners, slin neck with 22 frets all around your standard LP copy.

I must say that I did not expect this guitar to sound so good for the amount of money involved here, I play your regular mix of Rock and Blues through a Line 6 Spider III 120 with 2x10s hooked up to a Line 6 FBV Expresion board and a Ibanez TS9.The volume and tone controls have a good feel and sound, nothing scratchy. The pick ups sound just fine to me.. again for the amount of money involved. Over all a clear bright sound on the low end volume and not a lot of break up or distortion up when it is dialed up.

The factory set up was in the ball park. action was a little high and the bridge pick up was a little high also but that was a quick fix. The only flaws to an almost perfect finish was inside the cutaway and that was a sleight run in the clear that appeared to have been wet sanded and buffed out however the run is still slightly visable. The only thing here that I will change is to put a roller Bridge on it as the saddles are not that good from the factory, but then again what can one exspect for the price.

I just got this guitar and can not say what it will take abuse wise on the road or hard giging but the hardware seems solid enough and the finish is plenty thick.. great depth of gloss.. take it from someone who has refinished for a living, cars and guitars. The strap button seem solid. At this time I can't give an answer to how dependaple it is or if I would use ir for a gig without a back up. I would and will use it as one of my backups though.

I took my first guitar lesson in 1966 and played hard for 10 years and then as many of us have I figured I would never make a great deal of money at least not enough to support a wife and child without killing myself on the road. I continued to play through the years and over the past 5 years am back at it full bore and wide open. I own 2 Stratocasters 1 I bought new in 73 and 1 I bought new in 84. I love them just as much as I love my wife especially the 73 that is hot rodded to the max.
If this JT220 was stolen I would buy another without question because.. for the amount of money I spent bran new I don't thnik it could be beat hands down. The only thing I don't like about it is the bridge and I compaired it to a few Epiphones i have picked on at the locial guitar shops and chose this one for the price and I think it plays better than a few of the Epiphone LPs I did play.
I will close by saying that if you don't want to dump a ton of cash on a high end Gibson, Epiphone, Grass Roots (ESP) Cort,Agile,Zemaitis ext. ext...For less than 200 dollars this is a great guitar.
