Not sure of the year but this model has been discontinued (sadly). 24 fret, rosewood board on a maple neck...heavy body so I'm assuming mahogny. H/S/H p.u. configuration with 5 way switch - volume and tone knob. Floyd Rose licensed bridge. It's basically identical to an Ibanez RG series guitar - namely the RG 550 of the lates 80's early 90's but not a basswood body.

The sound is awesome. If you play metal, rock or anything that needs sustain, distortion, etc.....this is guitar covers it. The clean sound is great too. This is mainly a metal guitar and it does it well!! I have owned and still own $600 to $1000 guitars and this one hangs with them all. I actually prefer it to my Robin Medley. It has more low end punch. and $850 cheaper!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 8
Action was pretty good right out of the box. The intonation was dead-on...I couldn't believe it!! The fretboard was a little dry but after a couple of hours of playing it got better and now I love it! The finish is good but I got this as a "blemish" model so it does have some minor flaws...but no biggie! This guitar absolutely rocks!

Reliability/Durability : 10
Built like a tank from what I can tell. No problems yet.

This is really strictly a heavy metal guitar and that's what I bought it for. You get some really nice tones with all five switch positions. All the way down and this thing screams. You can get one pretty clean sound with the neck pickup but nothing like my SG or Les Paul. This guitar was made to crunch and be very bright. The Floyd Rose stays and locking nut stay in perfect tune and the tremolo bounces right back to perfect position. I play it through a Marshall GSR50CD and just use the built in distortion channel and it absolutely kicks a@#. Excellent sustain too.

Came out of the box almost right in tune and intonated. Bridge was a little low and had a slight buzz on the E and A strings. Half turn with the allen key and it was perfect. Neck nice and straight. Really nice action even before I changed off the stock strings. Pickups were fine. As a whole the guitar was tight and straight, no buzzing or noise in the pots. Only flaw was the knob on the switch fell off, but I had that happen with brand new strats, drop of glue and done. The metallic finish is bright and deep with no flaws at all.

I haven't had it long but I've taken plenty of liberty playing this one. I treat it like it was meant, hard and heavy. The hardware seems as good as some of the more expensive stuff I've bought. Finish seems deep and can take some shots. This is my third Turser and I'm sold. Strap locks are hefty and tight. I would definitely play out with this thing, I always keep two with me anyway but I think it can hack going solo.

Lifetime warranty. I've never needed it but have a friend who needed a new jack for his, called it in to the manufacturer who sent him back where he bought it who was an authorized dealer and had it back next day.

I've been playing guitar and bass for almost 20 years. Big Ibanez and Gibson fan but at the prices of these I'm becoming swayed. I have two Turser guitars and one bass and I love all three. I still have a soft spot for my Ibanez and Gibson though. This is alot of guitar for the price. I compared it to alot of the big names and there's no comparison for the money. I specifically looked for this type of guitar so it lacks nothing. If it were lost or stolen I would buy another in a heartbeat.
