Update to my 9/9/2002 posting
this is a jt 270f blue sini hollowbody
f holes rough cut with overspray inside
Sound
:10
fortunately all i changed was the strings to fender bullet 9's
changed the truss rod adjustment, adjusted the bridge, light filed the ends of frets
This resulted in perfection of the sound, highs- mids- lows just enough hollow to be live without excess feedback
Action, Fit, & Finish
:5
love the fingerboard, factory setup was unfinished,
Reliability/Durability
:8
The tone control did roll the sound without interference, now the roll must be done at slower rate

rate a 4 for finish
rate a 10 for sound and playability,
I have many guitars, but this one stays pluged in, just can't put it down. If you come across one, go for it.

This is a new 2003 made in China, 24 frets, semihollowbody laminated junk I assume (heavy), two (terrible quality) humbuckers). The hardware doesn't look bad, stop tail piece(strings wrap arround) and a tunematic style bridge (too close to tail piece). The tuners may be poor (I could never get it in tune for long).
The body style is similar to PRS semi-HB but the body is undersized, when I pulled it out thought it was a 3/4...but no neck is full size.
The neck is ok, quite playable...if you could ever get it in tune.
Sound

Hard to say...when I got it near enough in tune to play, even on clean channel (Marshall Amp) in buzzed and fuzzed out at enven modest volumes. Very muddy tone...
Action, Fit, & Finish

This was where most of the problems probably lie. It's not a bolt-on and the neck appears improperly joined. Large tilt angle, as a result bridge and pickups up about as high as they will go (still a little buzz). As result could never achieve proper intonation and tune up. It appears they tried to set it up to compensate...not possible. The red finish actually looked nice, but the body binding was the most sloppy uneven job I've ever seen. Inside (through the F-holes) you can see the sloppy glue joints and poor wiring (dangling out). Some of the worst construction I've ever seen.
Reliability/Durability

I consider this a DOA, so discussing durabillity seems moot

Bought it on Ebay from a music store...they took it back with no hassle...thank god...came with "Lifetime Warranty" decided its lifetime should be short

Been playing 40 years, own 60+ guitars, play everything but heavy metal (PRS,Gibson,Fender,Guild,Terry McInturff,Taylor, Martin,Takamine,Yairi, you name it I own one). I have been buying some Ravens and Dillions that are good values, and bought a Turser JT-200s that was super value....so I tried another Turser....I'd give the JT-200s a solid 9...this JT-270 is perhaps the worst I have ever played.

Made in china, wood unknown, simi hollow, light wt., vol, tone, 3 way swith, h/h, paint ok except at f-hole sides (touch up needed) customize? transparent blue(nice), keys hold , rosewood
overall the finish is fine for the price- the semi hollow is more looks than sound feature, the hollow area reduces weight slightly impact sound.
Sound

music style, blues/rock- seems just fine and love the style
peavy amps with rp6 . no hum, deep sound -sustain weak but will tweak
plan to change hardware to my liking
Action, Fit, & Finish
:No Opinion
action too high(no biggie) switches, pots work fine, frets ok fast, finish is not art, fit overall is fine

can't see any problems other than finish may wear easily

Bought new in 2002; Price $250.00 MAde in China, Semi Hollow body in a honey gold finish ( More on that further along.) Made of BAsswood volume, tone and 3 way selector , Very thin rosewood neck. Lockingh tuners. Purchased this online from a music store in PA. Dennis was really a good guy thru the whole transaction. Have not tried to contact him on this guitar as of yet. Not sure if he will stand behind it or not.

Play country rock and some heavy oldies, Cream, Tull, stuff like that. Playing thru and ART rack unit thru a Kustom75 Lead amp.
Guitar sounds like a vintage 1960's cheap JApanese make . Sorta like my first Teisco Del Ray .... You know that tinny sound.
Pickups have low hum, but did not expect anything else from a $225.oo guitar .
BAsed a lot of decisions to buy this based on its supposedly great looks and overall ratings of Turser guitars from this site.
Anyone who buys one of these pieces of crap shuld save their money for a few months and buy something decent..... even if it is used...
Usually play a Gibson US Les Paul Studio 79 model or a 81 US Fender
Strat. Both which have all the sound coverage I will ever need.....

Action is a bit high for my likings.fretts are rough. Need some filing. Finish is bad... The f holes on the body are roughly cut out. They dont even match each other. Sorta like some China men finished it with a Dremel tool.
OKAY now the kicker.. That baby shit yellow supposedly "Honey" NATURAl Finish" BULL SHITT !!!!!!! This color stain is like a brownish mustard yellow. Too bright and unnatural looking. I do some woodworking and have NEVER seen this color stain anywhere on a guitar liek this. YUCK !!!! Wood does not match. some take stain darker than other parts especially on the edges. Teh neck wood looks nice and clear except for the BABY Shit color it would be okay.
Fit seems fair. There is a black overspray on the head near on the edges of the tuning keys.
The actual style of the guitar is awesome if it was done professionally and with a better wood and stain.

Anyway I can get rid of this axe I will. Style is so impressive I could not wait to get it. Now I wish I could return and save my $$$.
Better off with an epiphone or mexican fender than this.....
They classify this Turser as a JAzz hollow body. It is light and balanced but not right for me. The color alone from my friends makes them laugh at me.... The sound as well had them cackling for hours!!!

To embarrased to call and say this guitar is a piece of shit !!!
Has Lifetime warranty BUT who in their right mind would keep this sheet box with strings that long.... So I cant rate their service.
So I give it a 2 because I cant see who would sell something like this as a quaility instrument. I cant help but wondering where all tehse high marks for JAy Turser guitars came from????

Paling 21 years as I mentioned earlier, Strat US - Les PAul US.
I hate everything about this guitar EXCEPT the actual style. Need to find something like this in a Good $ 800 - 1400 guitar and trash this.
Compares to a cheap 1060's dimestore Teisco del Ray. My first guitar.
Shoud sell as starter guitar for about $89.99.
DONT buy any of these Turser guitars unless u cant afford anything better or save your money and get something decent used. You are just pissing your bucks away..... OR try this guitar in a MUSIC Store and dont by it site unseen over the WEB.
