A brand new, laminated top tobacco sunburst colored resonator. Very nice gloss finish. Gotoh tuners, nice rosewood neck with pearled insets.

Sound : 9
I'm trying to move into the bottleneck blues, this seemed like an affordable , yet quality instrument. The adjustable screw inside the bridge really can make this guitar scream, or with a little adjustment, just seem like a loud acoustic.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
since I got the guitar new, the factory finish took a little bit getting used to. I found the action to be a little high for the standard style, but okay for slide. I've got to get some lighter guage strings, because the ones from the factory are tearing my fingers apart. Like I said before , it is a beautiful guitar, no visible flaws.

Reliability/Durability : 9
This thing seems like it could withstand a car wreck and come out playing. Nothing light or fragile feeling here. Very comfortable to play with the smooth finish on the resonator & bridge cover.Almost too solid, unless you really want to beat out the blues.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Got it for a trade in Fender Mustang that was in pieces. I had gotten tired of looking at an unfinished project. No warranty.

Overall Rating : 7
I have been playing on and off since 4 years old. Not real good, but a real good average. Have since moved to all acoustic; classical, 12 string Goya, the Johnson, and some OLD regal acoustic from about 1928 that can't be beat for mellow sound. If the Johnson were destroyed I probably would go to a brass or nickle resonator, just to get totally away from the standard guitar sound, which although variated from with this guitar , is still prominant.
