Johnson Srat copy made in China. They claim solid body - it is heavy. Maple neck and fretboard, EMG pick ups, 3 ply pickguard and solid sealed tuners.

Wanted that strat sound but as a inexpensive second guitar. Using it through a Fender hot Rod deluxe. Very good replication of strat sound. Johnson claims new improved pick ups - they are even marked as EMG-Johnson. A very little buzz near the amp, when backed away they are surprising quiet.

I was truly amazed at the quality of this guitar for the price. It blows all the fender squires and bullets to shame. Great finish and the maple neck and fretboard had a wonderful grain to it. Even had the rosewood inlay on the back of the neck. Paint and body finish was excellent. The guitar stays in tune better than I had hoped. It does have the whammy bar bridge and I installed two more springs to help the bridge settle back to tuned p[osition after using the whammy. This really helped and I would strongly suggest you do this if you buy this guitar. Only negative - frets were rough and needed to be crowned and emery cloth to polish. After that they were great so that is a easy fix.

Don't know yet but would look like it could stand up to a lot

Company I dealt with on the internet was great. I don't think Johnson really has a company in the US just importers. So you have to rely on them.

been playing about 6 years and own Martins, Taylor, Cort and Tacoma.
I love the incredibly low price of this guitar. The quality seems to be there and even detail to finish. You need to do your own set up, add springs, dress the frets and install new strings
