This is a 12 string acoustic model. Made in China. Beautiful to look at. Appears to be quality materials.

I play country and the sound from this guitar is really quite good.

The action has always been very difficult to play well. I have had the guitar for approximately 4 years and haven't played it much during that time. The bridge has now started to separate from the body and of course the guitar is now junk!!!

As stated above durability is a major flaw at least in the unit I received as a gift. Checking Johnson web page shows that because I bought the guitar before 2004 it only has a two year warranty. You get what you pay for I suppose, a temporary rental musical instrument. If anyone thinks that China is producing anything on par with traditional quality values they are kidding themselves!!!

Been playing on and off for 35 years. I finally broke down and spent the money for a quality Fender American product. WOW!!! Like I said you get what you pay for.

I bought this off ebay and it was supposed to be new, but when I got it, it had pick marks on the pick guard plastic, and the strings looked kind of dirty. I had trouble keeping it in tune for the first week, but I gently tightened the screws on the tuner heads, and just kept re-tuning it over and over, after a week, it now seems to stay in tune quite well. The sound is very nice. This is my first 12 string. I like a lot of old classic rock, but I dabble around with jazz chords, and western and blues. The sound is very bright with a lot of sustain. It doesn't seem to have much bass. For some reason it kinda makes me think "honky tonk" or "rag time". But is is very pretty.

Like I said, I think this might have been previuously returned and then sold to me, but I polished it up and there are no scratches. There are little "curly boogers" hanging off the nut where the string grooves are. The 13th fret needs to be dressed, as it is deadening the high E's , but only when playing chords at the twelve fret. The bridge looks like it is dire need of oil, I will put some on when I do a string change. If you put your nose up to sound hole, it smells like elmers glue. I notice that the tuning heads have little bits of rust on the black parts (bottom of tuning pin). The guitar is very nice to look at, it's glossy, and the wood grains are tight, the abalone around the sound hole is nice too. The Action is very good, easy to play.

I don't ever gig, so I can't really say. I think if this guitar was properly taken care of, it would last a long time. It seems to feel very solid, and looks well built in general. I think a two year warranty may also show that it is built to last, but I've only had it for 2 weeks.

I have been playing for 20 years, acoustic and electric. My guitars are: Ibanez roadstar 2, Gibson 79 the paul, GTX korean strat, Peavey reactor tele, Fender Gemini 2 dreadnought, Alvarez classical. I won't bother listing all my other crap. I wanted a 12 string guitar, and for 114 bucks, this is a great deal. For that money, this is everything that I wanted.
