Very nice finish. I had it for a year and played it often, and brought it here and there, but it still looks as new. I love its size than can be transported easily. Many friends taught that I breng a ukulele, but it's a guitar.

I've never compared with any other small size guitar. What can you expect from a small body ? Yes it sounds less louder than the full body. I installed a piezo preamp pickup I bought over the internet and it sounds awesome plugged.

Like I mentioned before, the finish is nice.
Reliability/Durability

It seems strong enough, since I have two little kids whom accidentally make the guitar fall down several times.

Since I have not gotten any problems yet, so I've never contacted them. I checked out the company's website, and it seems cool.

I've been playing guitar for more than 30 years. I got some antiques, electric, digital and MIDI but I've been playing this guitar more often than the others. If I lost it I'll definitely buy another one.

2007 TML/Johnson Jg Tr-1...small travel guitar...Price $73.00 shipped to my home( best price I could find on the internet)..Includes a gig bag..laminated spruce top, mahogany back and sides. rosewood bridge and fingerboard, Martin strings. Neck looks like maghogany...Finish is fine, no flaws in finish, no runs ..enclosed tuners...Made in China

The sound is great for a small guitar...very good tone...volume is low as expected...Great for quite practice...It came with Martin strings...I gave it a ten because is far better that I expected from a small guitar....

Fit and finish is very good for such a cheap guitar...Bridge pins look cheap...different size white dots in black pins..not a major concern. Setup is fine out of the box..only needed to tune it a few time for it to hold..

The guitar seems very well made and will probably last a long time with proper care...Volume too low for using in a gig...Only one strap button.

I own seven guitars...this guitar is perfect for what I will use it...I would buy another if it was lost or stolen....I bought the guitar unseen..I read reviews about several travel guitars and looked at their pictures...compared prices and decided to buy the Johnson....I only saw pictures of the 2006..This guitar is a 2007, it has a different head stock, different tuners, the sound hole has been moved toward the fretboard and a redesigned fretboard. I consider all these features an improvement over the 2006..

Well, I bought it today, from a friend, who is a musiclink dealer, Ive been playhing her for 3 months or so.
I'm stiuck in a combine all day, sooooo, I figure it will work. Im a martin kid for life (I own a vintage 76 D-28) but I wanted travel-ability, and for the price, I got a capo, three sets of strings, a tuner (electronic) and two picks, plus I save 75 bucks.
Hmmmmm.
I do however wish teh strap had a larger pocket and a strap for the guitar doubling as carry strap.
Sigh
Great tone, I might actually put a B-Band in it...
I like the tuners, and neck personally. Except the B it was (is a little sticky)
As far as playability, I can hit frets my martin doesnt use... Id like them taller however, but in a few years, well...

Made in 2003 in China. 18 "playable" frets. Laminated top. You would probably want to change the tuners, they realy suck. Pretty fat neck. Comes with a nice little gigbag.
Sound

Well, it's a travelguitar so you can't expect a fat sound but it will do. You get a bigger sound in the Martin backpacker though.

You can play it straight out of the box but I put on some Elexir 12's, new tuners and lowered the strings a bit and it made a huge differens. No flaws on the body or neck though.

The guitar will probably make it through hikes and travells, seems to be quite robust. Don't know about liveplaying though, but I've been thinking about putting in a B-band pickup so I can bring it on stage with me. Could be quite fun and sound pretty good to.

I have no idea about the support. The warranty is on one year, I think.

Been playing for about 15 years, mostly play Fender electrics and Simon & Patric acoustics. Use Line 6 amps and POD's.
I bought the Johnson so that I cold have a guitar with me at all times. Of course I would like a bigger sound but hey, I use other guitars for that. Compared it to the Backpacker but this was much cheaper and it will be banged up alot.

Pretty bad finished compare to my previous johnson guitar.I might be bad luck cause I bought this thing from dealer in e-bay.I guess this in a defect lot from factory.I found defects at blinding near 1st fret and ugly NUT assemble .However, no buzz at all
