Beatifully finished guitar, i got it today, my second johnson, got it for a great price, thought it was too gooder deal ??120!
Basically same features as the gibson es-135, which is a cross between the es-175 and the e-335

The sound is fantastic, very gibsony, with 2 p90 pickups, which like the reviewer before me, i am amazed at the quality, and the sound.
All pickup configurations sound great.
It doesnt sound amazing unplugged but neither do the gibsons
It has a really nice range of tones, i was really a happy when i plugged it in!

The guitar was set up fantastic, again i was a bit sceptical, i ordered it from germany, obviously hadnt played one before but had a good feeling,
THe finish, is honestly stunning, it has neck binding which is nearly as nice as my gretsch, the neck actually feels like my gretsch, chunky but not too much, frets are all nicley finished off
floating bridge looks a little strange but again still works well.

I was worried about how touch this thing would be, after using the teles which are bomb proof, i can honestly say, its great, feels solid well put together, tuners work well, i would definatley use it live.

I am 38 been playing for 20 years but still average, but use my gear to write/record songs. I am lucky enough to have 7 guitars a mixed bag of makes 3 teles ( one of them a johnson) 2 squier
1 strat made from bits and bobs (with amazing gfs pickups!)
1 gretsch ( beautiful) 1 crafter acoustic ( again fantastic) and now this johnson,
One of the reasons i bought this was because my friend had just bought a 335 epiphone sheridan japan, i loved it!!!
So i wanted something similar, but different and am amazed with this johnson, i would definatley buy it again.
THeres a snobbery out there that we need to own fenders and gretsch and gibson, ( ok me too) fair play if you can afford it, why not, but at the same time, i would be a happy man, if i only had the 2 johnsons i have, there that great.
I remember when i was a kid, and for ??100 you got nothing in the way of a guitar,

Sounds incredible (especially for $250!!)I was planning to change the pickups but they are alnico & sound great so why bother.
It can cover a lot of ground from funk & rock to jazz. What a nice guitar!

I couldn't believe at the fantastic setup this Korean guitar arrived with!Low action, straight neck, expertly cut nut!I only changed the wimpy 09 strings for 10's (the neck was not tweaked at all and remained dead straight!) & I pinned the mooving bridge (something I always to to floating jazz style bridges) in order to permanately set the action & intonation (floating bridges really iritate me cause they always moove)
Binding was perfect and the only flow was that the underside of the bridge had to be sandpapered in order to fit airtight with the body.

This is hollow body but very sturdily built,ut is not a tele though.....the finish was great no orange peel & the killer looking tobaco sunburst really gives this guitar some class

This is a fantastic hollow body guitar & is highly recomended for people who want to try something different.
I don't really see the $2000 difference w/ a real Gibson E135.
