this guitar is identical to the one described by D.Ritterling. the difference is that it was a gift for my 51st birthday.i'm in the process of fitting it with updated pieces.
Sound

it suits my style well. i play mostly blues,lead and rythm.i'm playing through a Fender battery powered personal amp. it has a 8 inch speaker, and sounds pretty good. the guitar has a fairly tinny sound wich makes me want to change the pickups. Fender style single-coils more than likly.
Action, Fit, & Finish

the setup was pretty poor due to the poorly cut nut. that was the first thing after re-stringing. the action is much better,but still needs work.I installed a set of .009 's but i'll change them to .010's.
Reliability/Durability

after adjusting it to my taste,i think it could be played out. the axe is sturdy enough. i don't know if i would trust it as a primary piece though. oh,get rid of the plastic strap buttons though! that was the first thing i did!

i've been playing for 38 years. my favorite brand is Fender. i also have an old Yamaha acou. the rest of my stuff is all handmade by me. nothing too impressive. just fun stuff to play.my Fenders are a 1969 Tele Slimline. my favorite is an 80's squire bullet. it has some hot rodding, but it's basiclly stock. it's Allways there for me.i can't give too much of an opinion of the Kalamazoo yet 'cause i haven't finished "having my way " with it yet.anyway,i fell in love with the neck and just the way it looks!
