This is an early Japanese made copy. The headstock is Gibson-style which dates it as pre-lawsuit, early 70's. Unlike a lot of the cheaper end stuff from the period, this is a set neck. I think the top is laminate but with a nicely-figured glowing cherry finish. I think the hardware is probably Maxon (Ibanez,) good quality and no peeling chrome even after 30 years. Block inlays on the neck.
There's one like this selling in a shop in Hull for #599 which is a complete rip!

I don't think the previous owner used it at all! Perfect condition, few signs of wear. No problems anywhere.

Again, no problems

I think Kasuga made instruments for Aria and Epiphone (possibly Ibanez?)
Obviously, long out of warranty.

Saw it in the small ads as "Kasuga electric." I was gob-smacked when I called the guy and he told me it was "like BB King's." #100 for a set-neck semi and the hard case was a steal. He even threw in a lead, strap, bottleneck and strings!!!
It goes to show you can still get bargains if you don't worry too much about the name on the top.
