I purchased this 6 string acoustic guitar in 1981 in Prescott Ontario Canada. Believe it was made in Japan in the late 70's. 20 frets. It is a Martin D40 copy. Gloss finish. Solid spruce top, brazilian rosewood back and sides (not sure if they are solid though). Mahogany neck with rosewood fretboard.

I play Blues mostly with a lot of finger picking. It has beautiful tone (great low end). Great action (I use light gage strings).

I adjusted the action once I purchased the guitar (I lowered it). I changed both the Nut and Saddle with brass ones). I also added a fishman pickup. No flaws and an exeptional grain in the woods used.

It has been a most wonderful guitar.

I've been playing since 1978. I would buy this guitar again, only you can't. They were, to my knowledge discontinued in the late 70's or early 80's. The tone of this guitar surpasses a Martin. The Kasuga HC-500 is hand crafted guitar. Kasuga International was a medium to high end instrument manufacturer.
