Kasuga Les Paul Deluxe

It's a great looking sunburst Les Paul-type. I bought it 6 months ago and it's early 70's, I was told. I own a Kasugs mandolin and that's a fine instrument and therefore I was curious about the Kasuga guitars.
Don't know anything about the woods that are used but it's looks fine and it sounds fine. It has a bold on neck as opposed to the original, but I don't really care, all my Strats have bold on necks...!!
I bought it on the internet, without trying.... Paid only 200 euro and was willing to take the chance. Well, it's better than I ever expected. About the features: it's a Les Paul, all the way. The pick-ups are two different ones, DiMarzio or Maxxon, I was told.
The one by the bridge looks a bit "strange" with double poles.
The guitar is equiped with Gibson-tuners and they work fine. Don't know anything about the originals. I used to have a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop 1981. I sold it because it was somewhat heavy, but I felt the need for a Les Paul-type guitar and the Kasuga is a fine replacement, believe it or not...!!
The laquer is fine, the frets are ok and it's plays great.

I wanted a Les Paul-type guitar again and the Kasuga does the job. It sounds equal or even better than some of the Gibsons I've tried and outdoes most Epiphones and other copies. I play it through a Fender Pro-185 amp and a Boss ME-50 processor.

The guitar plays like it's a fretless wonder. I use a standard 0.10 stringsset and still I can do all I want. I only had to adjust the intonation a little, didn't do anything with the pick-up's. It was fine the way it was.
The top is not bookmatched but it looks very "classy". The guitar is almost immaculate, especially considering it's age. No serious damages whatso-ever. Only the pick-up switch might need replacement in the near future

Well, this is defenitely a guitar that should be played on stage and that's exactly what I do with it. No problem and many musicians actually ask question about the guitar. And in general like it very much, when they play it. Some of them are now looking for a similar guitar on the internet.
On stage I usually have a Stratocaster (62 USA VR) and a '72 Telecaster (G-tuning) but not really as a back up, but for different
sound etc.

Well, no experience, as you might have expected

I'm a professional player for over 25 years and I own about 13 guitars, amongst them 3 Fender Stratocasters (62 USA RI, 71 USA and a 1965, slightly modified), a 1972 Telecaster, a Martin D-35 1973 , two Dobro's etc. I would like to have the black Custom version of this guitar because it's looks great !!!
