Transparant finish, Tele Custom copy. Just like the original Fender the guitar has a black pickguards with three way selector and four controls. Tuners function well, can be better.
The Kasuga was made in Japan in 70ies. The body is "sandwich", four pieces of wood.I think it's ash. Nice figuration. Treee piece maple neck. 19 th fret has been damaged : something heavy fell on it!
Pickup configuration : single coil bridge and humbucker at the neck.

It has a twangy "Tele"sound, just like the original. In a shop I played my Kasuga and an American model. I couldn't hear the difference.
I play the guitar over a Koch twintone and a Peavey Express. Excellent sound, especially the humbucker sounds very well.Rich and full!
The single coil bridge pickup sounds (three way selector down)too high. Selector in the middle position is the standard sound for me.

The action was excellent. I didn't have to change anything! The top is nicely bookmatched. After 30 years the hardware is in good condition, no rust.I polished a little , the hardware is blinking now!One tone control was missing. I found a similar knob in the local music store.

I've not yet been on stage with the guitar.I've used it with practice. Sound is excellent. I placed Schaller locking straps.I will use the guitar on stage for the country songs.

I play the guitar for thirty years. I have several guitars :
-Gibson Les Paul 25/50 anniversary
-Fender Stratocaster '57 Reissue
-Ibanez Artist
-Ovation Collectors 1993
My amps : Koch Twintone and Peavey Express 112
Effects : Digitech RP3, Boss AC2 and CE3 , Dixon Super Overdrive
I bought this guitar at a flee market for a very cheap price. I couldn't test the sound, cause there was no amp.
Relying on my expertise I was convinced that this was a good deal. I only put on new strings and a little adjustment in intonation.
