Aprox. 1968? made in Japan. Standard classical guitar, with a solid top, and a bookmached rosewood back and sides. It has tortise shell binding on the front and back, (faux?) Looks nice anyhow. A rosewood fretboard on a steel reinforced (so the sticker on the back of the head stock says) mahogany(?)neck with a rosewood laminate on the face of the head stock and an inlay that matched the original bridge. I aquired this guitar from a neighbor who was going to (gasp) throw it away, the bridge had separated and split in two, so I had a new one installed. I also replaced the tuners with a set of gold and ebony schallers(to tie in with the new ebony bridge,,, I would have used rosewood to match the back and fretboard but when I dident specify this to the repair guy,,,well it looks and sounds great) I also added a ebony endpin from Stew-mac.

I mainly play blues and rock, but this guitar makes me want to play more classical styles. Diden't we all learn to play on one of these.
It has a rich warm sound that even my wife noticed.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
This guitar was hand made. I can tell because all of the fittings are not asimetrical. they all fit tight but you can see the hand fitting. I think This is a good thing in a world of mass production(ah, it's good enough) it's nice to feel the human touch. All the frets are solid and theres no dead spots. the action's a little high , but hey its not my SG.
The finish is solid.

This babys seen it all, (purchased buy a man in the U.S.ARMY in 1968 on R&R in Tokyo Japan, and still around)
I just replaced the tuners.
The finish is solid, there are a few dings and dents(character) but not to affect the sound
I wouldn't gig without a backup but I would bring this as my only acoustic

N/A,,,Hear they make good pianos

I've been playing for over 20 years, and own way too much gear to comment.
I would try to replace it if lost. but probably not for under a grand. Not new anyway.
I thought about adding a piezio p-up under the bridge but nah.
I was walking our dog and there he was, so I fixed him up and now he's my jewel.

I am the original owner and the hardware is in great shape. Has been played very little.

It has never needed to be repaired.

Just started playing after many years and own a 12 string acoustic electric Yamaha APX 4A-12A. I had given the classical guitar to a friend thinking I would get a better one. After looking all over I felt that this was better than most and got it back. I wanted to work on learning more classical music.
