Made in japan, mid 60s, mahogany neck & body. Huge headstock.
Four Kawai chrome pick ups, four rocker switches, master tone & volume.
Bridge is a straight bar type. Offset jag-ish body ( see the Hounddog Taylor CD covers) and the fattest neck I've ever seen, 20 frets, kind of oblong fret markers.

There is a misconception out there born from the old Teiscotwangers site that this guitar is identical to a Teisco SS4-L.
Wrong , they are NOTHING alike. I own a couple of each .
These gutars come in two( S160) three (S170 ) & four ( S180 ) pick up models.
