The Kay K-1 is the econoline version of the flagship K-11 which is
there supposed "Poor Mans L7-C". It sports a solid spruce top which
some say is pressed others say carved anyway its solid. The sides
and back look like solid maple but some say its laminate. This guitar
is loud like a acoustic archtop should be and is an incredable value.
If you want a solid spruce archtop these are hard to beat for the value,
no trussrod but who cares!

Great for jazz blues and has the authentic sound from the 50's,
once again unbeatable value. I love this guitar it grows on me
every day.

This has low action and no reset... I got it from ebay and the dealer
said it had no cracks but when it came in ( no case ) it had a hairline
fracture on the spruce top near the neck, most likely from the shipping.
Most of these come without a case so look locally.

Get one with a case and avoid buying if you have to ship it. Archtops
are fragile and its best to see what you are getting before you plunk
down your hard earned cash. This guitar makes me smile when I play it
cause it sounds great and has a gutzy charm.
