Relatively new (made in last 5 years I'd guess). Spruce top, mahogany back and sides - most certainly looks laminated. Adjustable Neck. Please note my comments in "overall rating" to understand the "scale" which I'm measuring this guitar against.
Sound

It's got a clear musical sound. No buzzing or other irritating nuisances that require correction. For a $150 guitar, it's not that thin sounding, which is a good thing.
Action, Fit, & Finish

The action's a little high but acceptable. The intonation is pretty much in. There are no apparent flaws.
Reliability/Durability
:

In terms of reliability, it's served the purposes for which I bought it so far. In terms of durable, it doesn't seem to be flimsy. I don't fear that it's likely to break easily. That said, I haven't had it for long.

I've been playing since I was a child - I'm in my 30's now. I'm a recording artist. I play progrock. I bought this guitar because I wanted something inexpensive that I could use at times and in places where a guitar might be at a higher than usual risk of being damaged or stolen. Also just an all around "beach" guitar or "beater" guitar. I wanted something easily replacable that would also provide some satisfaction in terms of sound and playability. This guitar suits this purpose admirably. For a beginner guitar, or if you're looking for a guitar in that price range for whatever reason, perhaps the 536LH would be a good pick. As to my rating scale, I'm evaluating in terms of what I was looking for and also, in fairness, what it is - a cheap beginner/intermediate guitar. It's not going to stand up to a Martin or Taylor, so my evaluation scale is calibrated accordingly.
