Solid LP style guitar with double-hums, 3 way selector switch, 2 tone and 2 volume knobs. Bolt-on neck, scrap wood body and neck, black finish with gold trim, nothing too special.

Sound : 2
Plays just about anything with the same efficiency, all crap. It's a very noisy guitar, great if you want a dirty tone. It's a cheaply made guitar and the sound you get is about what you paid for.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
The set-up was horrible. The action was way off, strings buzzing everywhere and the humbuckers were off as well. The input jack was barely screwed in and the pick-up selector switch was loose.

Reliability/Durability : 2
I wouldn't play this thing live for any reason so I'll never have to wonder if it's durable. It's not though. The electronics are shoddily wired and the screws on the input jack will come off for no reason. The knobs are virtually useless. It is a solid guitar and could take a beating, a beating I would like to personally deliver.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No help, Kay is dead.

Overall Rating : 2
This guitar can be bought cheap, but is made cheap and sounds like crap. If the money is the only concern still don't buy it, save up and buy anything else. If you inherit this guitar then fine, you can play it without shame.

I don't know where this guitar was made, but it has the Les Paul configuration that includes 22 frets, 2 volume and tone knobs, dual single coil humbuckers, plywood body and neck?, black finish, Les Paul body, tune-o-matic bridge, Kay tuners, thin rosewood fingerboard, and no accessories since I bought it used.

Sound : 4
This guitar can be used for anything: rock, blues, country, crap............... It doesn't work very well on distortion, but on a clean channel it sounds good. When you put the selector switch on rhythm it's really thumpy and loud. Basically what I'm saying is that you really shouldn't buy this guitar!

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
The action was way off, the nut was messed up, it's probably made out of plywood, and the tuners suck the big one. I should probably replace them anyway. The pickups were actually adjusted and it had a nice black finish.

Reliability/Durability : 2
This guitar wouldn't withstand live playing if my life depended on it. The hardware, finish, and strap buttons seem like they will last a while, but I don't think the guitar would.

Overall Rating : 3
I have been playing for about 2 1/2 years now. I also own an amp and wah wah pedal. If it were stolen I would buy another guitar. I don't like this guitar very much. You can't really compare it to any other guitar because it sucks so bad, but It's a good pile of crap for the money.

IT'S OLD!!!! REAL OLD!!!! it has a 21 fret neck, that is the size of a baseball bat, bolt on instead of glue in, and standard Les Paul setup.

Sound : 7
It actually sounds really good, the guitar is a good rocker, but needs a few "upgrades" to make the grade... but stock it still sounds good...

Action, Fit, & Finish : 4
LEtr's just not prattle on here.. it's a vintage Kay I got for 90 bucks ina junk store, they didn't kow what it was, I did... not extremely collectable or valuable, but it had everything I wanted, heavy solid body, strong straight neck and it almost worked! it took a fw ghours at home before it was really playable and to have it really playable I am changing the tuners, and probably the tailpeice... and the pickups and the switches as they are all worn out.

Reliability/Durability : 8
I got this guitar for the "nei young" factor... It's a destroyed old LP and it can't be killed, the stock tuners fall out of tune now and then with aggressive playing, but it holds up pretty well all in all. I haven't played with it in clubs or anything yet, it's more of a pet project, but considering the price of a "real" Les Paul, I prefer this one. for a total of 200 bucks or so and a few spare parts, I have a great working guitar that can take a licking and keep on ticking!
