On my Les Paul (111CS) the cutaway is all wrong; on the web the cutaway looked like a gibson's...not so far of but I like exact.

They use the same tuners as Epipone and has a nice neck feel

Sound : 10
sounds great clean and distorted

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
The soldering came off; i had 2 solder it back

Reliability/Durability : 2
Good hardware
It the soldering came of from the selector switch to the pickup,
the other two tones worked fine.....but not very reliable

Customer Support : 4
I don't reckon; Keiper is from Germany

Overall Rating : 9

2005 Les Paul Standard cherryburst. German company but the guitar is made in China.
3 piece solid (?) mahogany body.
Very low weight for a Paula.
2 x volume, 2 x tone, 3 way toggle switch.
2 x wax potted humbuckers (non-coil tapped)- passive pickups
Plain finish (no flames etc)
Gibson / Kluson style tulip tuners
Standard les Paul scale (can't remember the exact scale but it's the same as my les Paul studio)
Set mahagony neck (2 piece)
All in all, a typical les paul copy.
I rate it 8 because ithas almost all you need. Splittable humbuckers were a good improvement.

Sound : 7
Dry sound isn't that good, in my ears. A little middy with not too much bass and trebles. The dry sustain is very good.
Plugged in to a clean tube amp, the sound is decent and relatively balanced. The bridge pickup sound a little limited in clean mode (uppermids, no sparkling trebles), but the neck pickup sounds quite nice, the middle position too. Warm and with character. Very good sustain!
Clean it sounds good for finger picking styles; for clean barre rhythm work i miss a little kick and twang.
The best this guitar sounds with decent distortion (good tube overdrive or at least a very good distortion stomp box). In distortion mode the bridge pickup really rocks, the neck pickups gives a warmer, singing "woman" tone, you have enough trebles in all settings and great sustain.
Especially the bridge pickup produces nice harmonic and flageoletts.
Very good sounds for rock, hard rock, blues rock, harder rock'n'roll and so on.
All in all the sound of the Keiper 111CS is much better than you can expect for that price, the sustain is rather good, and the guitar rocks in crunch or distortion mode.
Guitar is not noisy at all, although the cables within are very thin and un-shielded.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
The finish is much better than i expected, regarding thevery low price. The stock strings are rubbish, but the rest is quite decent. Didn't discover any flaws of the laquer finish.
The settings when delivered were also o.k., much better than i expected. Neck was adjusted well, also the pickups, intonation was acceptable, and the action was usable. But the 111CS allows a lower action the wthe factory setting. Action is really good after i adjusted it, and no fret buzz at all.
A strength of the 111CS is the good neck. Its not slim, but not too fat, lays good in the hand and makes playing it pure fun!
I do not like the laquer finish (high gloss) of the neck, but the neck shape is damn good! Frets are also o.k., not too high and not too low.

The electric has a minor flaw (i think): in midle position of the toggle switch i'd expect that one volume control cotrols only neck pickup and the other only the bridge pup. In fact i can turnn off both pups with on volume control, what is a minor flaw in my opinion.
Rest works fine, and the controls work muchbetter than i expected. Volume controls steal less trebles than on other guitars i know (i regard this as a plus).

Reliability/Durability : 8
I could not test the guitar on a gig so far, but i see no problem to gig with it.
I think you can depend on it. The strap buttons are o.k. but i changed the on on the front cuttaway because my belt slipped off two times.
I'd never gig without a backup guitar.
For players of a more expensive Les Paul the Keiper 111CS is a good (and rather cheap) backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No idea, didn't need support so far.

Overall Rating : 9
All in all a not to bad guitar (if you forget the price): good finish, acceptable setting when delivered, acceptable to good sound.
If you regard the very low price, this guitar is killer.
Very good choice for beginners and a usable guitar for experienced players.
If you do not regard the low price 7.5 was a fair rating, if you regard the ultra low price a straight 10 is a fair rating, so all in all i'd rate the Keiper 111CS 8.5 points.

Features : 8
Les Paul copy, set maple neck, solid mahagony body, 2 humbuckers, 4 controls (2 x volume, 2 x tone), stop-tail-piece, cherry sunburst, palisander fret board, 22 medium frets.

Sound : 8
Dry sound is rather neutral, or lets say, balanced. Very good sustain (Mape/mahagony and set neck).
The guitar sounds o.k (if you regard the price). Bridge humbucker sounds in clean channel a little too trebly for my taste, but in distortion mode it sounds great. Vice versa the neck humbucker sound good in clean mode an a little too muddy in distortion mode.
Middle position of toggle switch (both humbuckers) sounds o.k.
I never played a Gibson Les Paul, but i think this guitar doesn't sound like a good Gibson Paula, but still o.k.
Versatility is not great, but thats typical for Les Paul-like guitars without coil-split or parallel-mode switch.
The neck is really fun too play. Not too fat, not too slim, just very good (for my hands).
Dry sund (without amp) is ok with a slight emphasis off the upper mids.Sustain is (as mentioned before) very good.
A rate the sound 7. It doesn't flash me, but it is o.k., especially if you regard the price. Plus one point for the good neck shapeand the good sustain.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 9
Optical finish (laquer and so on) looks fine, i didn't remark any flaws. Neck was set o.k. when delivered, action was o.k. (but i could turn it much lower). Stock strings are rubbish.
Controls work fine, but one has a little scratch. The neck setting was good, better than expected for that price.
No fret buzz, even with low action.
In middle position of the toggle switch one volume control can turn off both humbuckers. I am not sure but i think that is a mistake. I'd excpect it would just turn down on off both pickups.
Apart from that electric works o.k.
Pickup-heigth is o.k.
I rate it 9 because the setting (and the neck) was better than expected and you can start to play without changing anything, what is not typical for such cheap guitars.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Can't rate it, i haven't the Keiper 111 long enough.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Don't know, i did not need it so far.

Overall Rating : 9
If you regard the price ('bout 150 US$) the 111 CS is a good buy.
Sounds o.k., has a good sustain, good neck, not too lousy pickups and a more than acceptable setting when delivered.
For beginners with little money the rating would be a straight 10, for experienced players (e.g. strat-player who like a Paula for a change) with a little more money the overall-rating is 7 or 8.
Makes an all-in-all rating of 8.5.
