the p-ups are outstanding very woody sounding, pretty hot output- play through many amps- 65 fender del. 59 bassman the thing about this guitar is the pickups I have been playing for decades and these p-ups if you can find the correct ones i'm describing are awesome. i'm talking jangle, bluesy, garagy. i potted mine to cut microphonics. this model guitar is full size ..supro,national, sort of shape. these p-ups can be found in the smaller body kents also. they look like strat p-ups with a black band running through the screwpoles. mine has bigsby style trem-excellant, orig. bridge=no good

i play this live- blues-surf-old underground material. it records very well unique sound. i strongly recommend the p-ups. if you find these in an old trashed kent ..buy it. but make sure they are the p-ups i'm speaking of---strat shape, black band through the polescrews. this guitar is mahogany it can double as a coffee table--yes its strong and dependable...like superman

i've been playing for many moons and i base my opinion of guitars on how they perform on stage. i own 75 guitars so i'm accostomed to variety. these old imports require lots of work usually but if you know what your doing or know someone who does, the rewards from the great sounds and looks are priceless, as they say
