Model G-18 "Classic Guitar Pro Line" from label inside sound hole.

Got this from my aunt, & it used to belong to my uncle who passed away in the early 70's & this guitar sat in the house with my aunt for decades after, I assume it was from the '60's or very early '70's.

Satin woodgrain finish, medium sized body, 19 frets, cheap tuners, rosewood fingerboard

Sound : 7
I occasionally play classical guitars & this one is not the best choice, but I imagine for it's price, it was a good value when new.

After all these years not being used, & having strings on it that I put on in the '90's, it sounds remarkably good for a cheap guitar, very mellow with good sustain & a reasonable brightness to it when made to be so.

I could use this as an alternative guitar, but I would not likely record with it ever, as it tends to be a less "complete" sound, if you will.

Tuning it is a pain, due to the chinsy tuners, action is not bad, no buzzing on any note on any string, but the action is not overly high.

Playing it is relatively easy, although I am used to and prefer a slightly mor narrow neck, this one is wide & typically flat.

Action, Fit, & Finish : No Opinion
Setup appears to be OK, the action is still OK, & the guitar has no adjustments, other than a truss rod, which has never been moved in decades.

Reliability/Durability : 7
It has withstood almost 4 decades of stiing up against a wall, or hanging on a guitar hanger, with only the occasional playing & being knoked over, but it has no signs of seams coming apart, or any other flaws in the build, although the cheap tuners would have to go if this were my regualr guitar & they may go anyway...

I've seen comparable guitars that have developed splits or cracks, but not this one.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 6
I have played for over 30 years & have 24 guitars & a recording studio with all the associated gear.

This guitar is a family hand me down, and it is of no real value, so it would not be replaced if it were stolen, but until I decide otherwise, it will stay with me & then pass to one of my nephews, who will probably use it or pass it to their children.

It would be a good guitar for a kid to start on, as it stays in tune & has decent intonation, but I would change the tuners to reduce the frustration of tuning.

This guitar was given to me by a friend who had a guitar, but didn't know what to do with it. Since receiving it, I did some body work, replaced tuners and strings, and it works fine. It's an 18 fret classical, and really don't suggest it for the seasoned pro, unless you need a junker guitar to carry around when you travel, if you don't want to risk damaging any of your other guitars.

Sound : No Opinion

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
The guitar doesn't seem like it was setup to nicely. The body and neck are fine, but the fingerboard is a nightmare. The original tuners weren't that great, so I picked up a new set for 15 bucks. The frets are nice, and the action is just perfect for me.

Reliability/Durability : 7
I don't suggest playing this guitar live. I was told this guitar was over 20 years old, and was abused. I could tell it wasn't handled like a Martin, so I have to say it was pretty durable. The finish ain't to great, has plenty of scratches on it. Seems like the previous owner played with a pick.

What support? The company is defunct!

Overall Rating : 10
Well, I've had the guitar for a few months now, and it does hold up to my demands. Like I said, don't sell your Martin or Ovation just yet, but this is perfect for beginners (I'm going to give this to my niece when she is old enough) or for travel. If you come across one and have a few bucks to spare, go ahead and make it your new project guitar.

Basic, small classical body; junky fretboard, old plastic tuners and nut. Has strap holder. Finish is old, worn and sloppy...probably due to age. Seems to be a laminated top with no X-bracing. This guitar was damaged and repaired when I bought it for $10 bucks. Bridge had come off, and sides seperated from the top.

Sound : 4
Sound is not worthy of a classical guitar. I bought this to take backpacking/camping and it suits that just fine. Sounds is somewhat soft; occasional buzzing due to lousy fret work on the board. Expect problems with the 1-4 strings at the 10 and 12 frets. Good for a beater guitar or someone just learning. Stays in tune for the most part (suprisingly!)

Action, Fit, & Finish : 2
Action is decent for this junky guitar. I replace strings with D'Addario classical strings...made a difference. Wood in the neck seems real soft; not sure what it is. Top looks like cheap spruce. Don't know what sides are.

Reliability/Durability : No Opinion
Don't use this guitar for anything but learning on or taking on camping trips. Old guitar from a defunct company in Japan.

No support that I know of.

I use my Fender DG7, Ibanez AEF18NT, and Gretsch G3150 for more serious stuff. This Kingston Clasical model is just a beater guitar for anyone who wants to fool around with it.

My wife got this guitar about 25 years ago; it's been sitting in the attic; I pulled it down and fitted it with new strings because I needed something to play while mine was in the shop getting some adjustments.

Nothing fancy here- it's got a small body, good for someone small; top loos solid, no pick-guard; no peg for a strap. Tuners seem okay. fretboard pretty basic; no fret markers on top only on the side at 5,7,9 and 12. 18 frets total.

It does have a fairly wide neck.
Not sure what type of wood.

Sound : 6
It has a good sound but not loud, very melodic but soft.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 6
The action is high, but Ididn't find this to be a problem what with the nylon strings. I've never played a classical, but it seems like wityh a cloassical higher action is okay.

Reliability/Durability : 7
It probably would not be good for live playing- it[s a budget guitar, but seeing thatit's been in amn attic 25 years and it still sounds okay and no sighns of warping or anything I'd say it's got to hold up well.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

I just started playing about a month ago and haven't played too many guitars. My opinion of this one is it would be good for a beginner, especially a child, who is not sure whether he/she wants to be serious. You can get started withit and then move up later. Not bad if you can find a used one for cheap.

Pretty Basic.

Sound : 7
Sounds okay. Like a normal acoustic.

Action, Fit, & Finish : 1
Action is horrific! The strings are like 6 inches above the fretboard! It seems like that anyway. I like a low action and this thing plays like a log with strings. The neck is big, and fat too! I like thin, fast necks. Yuk!

Reliability/Durability : 7
It has been beat around for years. So I guess it will stand abuse

Customer Support : No Opinion
Who knows

Overall Rating : 1
Been playing several years. Mostly electric. This thing sucks! I am getting a different acousting because it has a neck like a damn fire log and the action sits inches above the neck! Horrible does not begin to describe this nightmare of a guitar! I should use it as firewood!
