Painted, particle board body, twin single pickups. Cracked tremelo, Fender style. Three way switch, tone and volume. Cheap and nasty. Chained open tuners. If the serial number is correct made in 91. Bolted neck has rosewood fingerboard over something painted black. Have to assume it is solid wood but don't know what kind. Came with lots of dust, rust and other corrosion, and a somewhat trashed hardshell case.
Is actually more like a Mustang than a Strat, 24 inch scale and smaller body.

Yes it's noisy, hums - hand on the bridge or finger picking knocks the hum right out - and the pots crackle like mad. Played through a Fender 10W has an impressive array of sounds for what it is. Once the pots are cleaned it may get better. Have borrowed a MIJ Strat to fool with as well and they sound similar but different. Same family of tones but with only two pickups it isn't a clear comparison. I like what I can find, but there is a fine line between clean and overdrive. Dirty pots?
Goes from clean to jazzy to blues to full on distortion. Not bad for what it is. I like the rust on the strings as well, adds a certain something that the Strat lacks....

Used but not really abused. Intonation is on but looses tuning as the trem is a bit of junk. As mentioned above the string block is cracked and will likely let go one day. Isn't strung properly and that might also be affecting tuning stability. Hardware is rusty and the tuners are a joke. They look like the ones on the cheap kid's acoustics but not cut in two.

Don't gig, just getting back to guitar after a long break. You could probably run this over with a car and still get noise from it but I think it is better suited to playing at home.

Not playing long, have a garage sale acoustic and a repaired (broken headstock) Epi 12 string, rescued from the Salvation Army and converted to a 6 string.
It was $20 and will do to fool with and learn how to clean, fix, modify. If I can make it stay in tune it's cheaper than a Squire and probably will be used as long as one of those would before moving on.
My seven year old loves it. I keep finding it all over the house, he plays it anywhere. It's worth the money for that alone. That's why I gave it a 10 for this catagory.
Don't love or hate it and would be a bit upset if it went missing - see previous comment.

Strat copy guitar. has 22 Frets, 3 single coil pickups. Rosewood neck (although it plays like maple for some reason). cheap chrome tuners.

Not bad for a brand that i had never heard of. It's about as good as a Squier Affinity. Noisy pots, but they can be replaced. The pickups hum a bit as well, but not too bad. It has a bassier tone than my Fender Standard Strat, but at high volumes it tends to crack up. But for a cheap guitar this is actually a good sounding guitar.

Nice black finish (although it's beat up-I like to be rough on it since i got it free) I set it up, so its good. The neck plays too much like a maple fretboard, which i don't like, I prefer rosewood. Actually, if i didn't know better, I would think that it was a maple fretboard painted black.

I've been playing for over eight years, and I have owned about 15 guitars including Gibsons, Fenders, and numerous Epiphones. This one is far from the worst, the worst would be Harmony and Encore. Definitly a beginners guitar, seasoned pros will likely look elsewhere. If you can find one of these Kingston Strats for between $75 and $100 dollars then it is a fairly good deal, but you can get a Squier Affinity for $150 if you really want a descent beginners guitar.

I have no idea what year it was made. It was made in Korea. 22 Frets.
3 single coil pickups. 5 way selector switch. A really dark blue color. Not sure of the body material. Rosewood neck. Chrome tuners.

I've punk, grunge, and rock with this guitar. It sounds ok. Sounds good with distortion. But the clean sound isn't good. But I like it alot. Stays in tune amazingly well!

Action was good. All I did when I got it was raise the pickups.

I've been playing it for 6 years now. Live shows and jamming. The wiring is starting to get really bad, I'm in the process of fixing that now. The Strap buttons came out, so I crazy glued them in. And the nut broke when I tried putting big strings in there. But it was still usable. It's not a bad guitar, but there are a lot of better guitar out there. But I'm still impressed with it's ability to stay in tune!

I've been using it off and on for about 6 years. I bought it as my first guitar, and I was more than happy with it for that. I still use it today. Not a bad buy for anyone who just plays for fun. It'll last you a long time if you take care of it. But I recommend a Squier Strat over it anyday.
