Koll 12-String

This one is similar to the Koll Spectro Glide 12-string model, though some of the following features on my axe are a bit different. The material, appearance, and functionality is amazing. The 12 string is a single cutaway, with bound, carved solid maple top (with matching headstock faceplate!), carved alder back, and maple neck (all of which have stunning grain!), bound cat-eye soundhole, rosewood fretboard, fully adjustable bridge and saddles, neck pickup is a TV Jones Magnatron, with a TV Jones Classic ?Tron p/u at the bridge, 3 way switch, volume control for each p/u and a master tone control. Slim C-shape neck?Koll necks are a guitar the best?I?ve never touched one better. Flawless fret work. Top grade electrical components. Topped off with nitrocellulose lacquer mellow burst. Stunningly executed, in terms of function and appearance. Nice balanced, and light, this axe exudes absolute quality at every point and from every angle.
There are no better guitars made than Saul Koll?s and his prices are not only reasonable, I think they are on the low side for the fusion of workmanship and materials in his guitars. If you?re going to spend as much as his guitars run, I think you?d have to be stupid AND nuts to not buy one of his. They flog everything else out there that?s at the same or higher price point.

Fantastic. Even sounds great unplugged. The pickups in this give me a broad palette to work from. They?re flexible enough to let me coax some woodier ringing tones, but still drive an amp when I want some sizzle. Simply awesome and easily the best electric 12 string I?ve ever played or heard.

The action, fit, and finish on Koll guitars are stellar, this one is no different! Fretwork: incredible. Action: set to your specs. Absolutely flawless stunning work all the around. Koll?s guitar are current and future classics. About as close to perfect as one can get. It is impossible to find fault with set up and overall construction of this guitar. It is off the charts great.

All Koll guitars are built to last. This is a stunning high end axe, but built tank solid. I?ve never hesitated to rely on it in gigs, provided that I can keep it within sight and fairly close at all times.

Saul Koll?s customer support is as fantastic as his axes. A easy fellow to talk to who is obviously interested in providing the best quality instrument and playing experience. Patient with inquiries and extremely helpful with ideas. He stands totally behind his instruments. Like his guitars, you can?t find better customer support.

I could probably fill 3 pages with superlatives about this axe (as well as Koll?s other ones!) in terms of its visual beauty, tone, playability, and work quality, but I won?t. Instead, I?ll just re-iterate that you can?t find a better guitar even at considerably higher prices than his. He?s open to customizing just about any aspect of his creations. His service couldn?t be better. Though he?s got some high-end and high-profile customers, he?s a very down-to-earth guy that treats every customer very well. I?ve played quite a few of his other guitars, and as soon as I can afford another, I?m getting one. These ain?t inexpensive axes, but I?ll repeat that at his prices are they are a bargain for what you get, especially when compared to other higher end, but essentially factory-made axes. After having had this one for a coupla years, I can?t be more thrilled to own it. Saul Koll builds amazing guitars!
