Koll Guitars are highly underrated. Made by Saul Koll, they are in every way built with the same craftsmenship that guitars from the 50's were. My model the Super-Slide is a three P-90 antiquity version (3 position top and 3 position bottom toggle), similar to a Les paul Jr, and a 1960 les paul neck.
The sustain is remarkable, Honduras mahagony body, with a brazillian rosewood neck. Wilkenson stop nickel tail piece and nickel Sperzel locking tuners. What a guitar! This through a Matchless amp is the Holy Grail of tone! This guitar looks vintage, but totally original.

This guitar is designed for Slide, Blues and all out Rock & Roll,
I will take the Pepsi challenge that this guitar will smoke anything comming out of the Gibson custom shop at three times the price. It likes Marshall 50 watt half stacks with greenback speakers, 1950's baseman's, but it feels right at home with Matchless DC-30's, Lightning combos or Vox AC-30's, new or old.

What can I say?, Tons of sustain, tons of tone, plays like your favorite guitar and that is out of the gate! The Wood variations are naturally balanced. Maple top will give you a slightly brighter tone, the bookmatched top choices will please the most jaded collector/player. The fit and finish is 2nd to none. Saul Koll's guitars today, are tommorows collectables. You heard it here first!

These guitars have survived tours, adverse weather and climate, and numerous studio dates. This as with all of Saul's guitars, you get exactly what you pay for.

I have owned around 53 guitars and basses. I would usualy tend to favor vintage instruments and own quite a few until the Japanese drove the prices through the roof and those were slightly out of reach. Now, I look for today's collectable and playable guitars and Koll has it nailed in every catagory. I repeat, and you heard it here first.. this guy is NO JOKE!! These guitars are vintage out of the case. They have a unique voice and tonal characteristic that rivals instruments of the 50's. Also, Keep in mind, I love my $85,000.00 Les Paul flame top, but I play my Koll guitar....everyday.
