This guitar is Brand new I am not sure where it is made. the company is out of fort worth Texas. judging by the price, I'd say it was made in china. It sure plays good though. it has 20 frets, solid spruce top, nato/mahogany sides and back. I'm not sure what the neck is made of, it is darker in color than the rest of the guitar. the finish on this one is transparent red. it looks real nice, cutaway body, comes with 2 different pick guards to choose from. I just left it off for now. this guitar has binding all over it. body, neck, headstock, real looker the headstock has a pearloid/reflective graphic logo that looks real good. the tuners are a gold color not sure of the brand, they seem solid enough. they are holding tune very well(it is new) it comes strung with D'addarios( is that how you spell it?), not sure what gage they are but pretty heavy the g string is wound rather than just a straight metal one like the e, so I'm guessing the E is a .012. I'm used to light electric strings, so to me that is pretty heavy. the frets are nickel silver, not jumbo, average size frets.
the fretboard is rosewood, the inlays are fake pearl, but look good and sit nice and level the fretboard has that nice flat look where it sits on the body. the bridge is rosewood I think where the strings actually sit is plastic, the nut looks like plastic too, not junk by any means though. the strap knobs are gold in color and have a felt like material under them to ensure the finish and wood are protected.

It has a very good sound. I am Impressed. no fret buzz, no vibration sounds. It is new. Keep in mind that the strings are brand spankin new right now so the sound is nice and piano like. as far as the tone is concerned, I am not at all dissapointed. the tone is a great accoustic tone. It could stand to be a hair louder, don't get me wrong, it has plenty of volume, but it probably won't win a shouting contest with a high end alvarez or gibson.
Action, Fit, & Finish

this was set up just about perfect. the action is nice and low.
the only real "flaw" I found in this category was If you look real close on 2 spots of this guitar, you can see some extremely small overspray. I looked it over very close. If I had payed high dollar for it, I might have been dissapointed, but I didn't, so I'm not.

Live playing, no problem. I've been on stage with some real junk compared to this. as far as the hardware goes, I think it will last. I played a used one and it seemed to be holding up okay, tuners where holding tune real well. now with the finish, there looked to be an issue on the used one. the finish on the binding was cracking. I'm not sure if this was due to abuse, or if this is just to be expected with these. time will tell. This guitar has a truss rod, It does not look like it in the pictures, but it does. the strap buttons are solid so far. they where still intact on the used one too. dependability and gig without a backup... heck yeah. this is a great guitar, much better than most junk out there. I like it better than the takamine jasmine series. I compared the two, and chose the Kona

I've been playing for about 14 years, I own lots of other gear. my last accoustic was a $250 yamaha. this guitar blows that yamaha away.
If lost or stolen, I would get annother one as fast as possible. I love the sound and playability of this guitar it also is very solid without weighing a ton. It is also cheap enough to replace that I can take it camping. I compared Alot of guitars when I was shopping for one. I played alot of expensive guitars that did not match up with this one. maybe they where not set up well? I need a case for it. I'll probably go ahead and get a hard case to keep it playing well.
This is a new company with something to proove. I would reccomend this guitar to anyone on a budget.
